Essential experience & qualifications:

· Evidence of building collaborative partnerships and leading teams or projects
· A commitment to our mission and an understanding of the impact of financial exclusion
Desirable experience
· Experience investing in social fintechs, consumer credit or early-stage ventures
· Experience working with community finance providers (e.g. credit unions, CDFIs)
· Commercial fundraising or regulated fund management experience
· Familiarity with policy and systems-change initiatives, especially around financial inclusion

Job Title: Executive Administrator

You will be able to organise and manage events and away days, as well as manage our booking systems and general running. Youth Engagement Officer
Location: Hybrid. Expected to be in our London office in Victoria at least one day per week. You can be remote every other day or come into the office. Your office days are flexible and can be agreed with your manager, other than for monthly team days where you must be in person. Some nationwide travel expected for Youth Steering Group training days, events and conferences. After passing probation, up to six weeks ‘super remote’ working per year, where you can work anywhere in the world as long as you’re online for four hours of the UK workday.

You will support the young people to design sessions, secure speakers, embed past feedback and plan the event structure. Our Youth Engagement Working Group supports FEA members and other sector organsiations to increase and improve their own youth engagement practice. You will support the management of logistics, promote the workshops, and communicate with working group members. We work alongside people to help them escape poverty, build confidence, and find community.
Our principal activity is the prevention of food poverty and food insecurity by offering culturally appropriate food, fresh fruits, and vegetables as well as dietary and religiously appropriate food which we have continued to run at our five-week sessions to local people for as long as they address the underlying cause.
We also provide a range of wraparound support, including advice services, particularly around employment and immigration through our Back2Work Team, Holiday Clubs for Children, Youth Groups, a Clothing Bank and our Spring Up Women’s group.

The Head of Governance will ensure that the organisation (including subsidiaries) has robust and effective governance in place which complies with statutory requirements and good practice in relation to company and charity law and charity governance. They will also be a natural collaborator, working with key stakeholders such as The Head of Legal to provide high level technical advice to members of the Movement and TSA staff concerning governing documents and key decisions, whilst also supporting effective governance at headquarters.

Position: Evidence Programme Lead
Hours: Full-time (35 hours a week)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Office-based in London with flexibility to work remotely
Salary: Starting from £44,339 per annum plus excellent benefits
Salary Band and Job Family: Band 3, Profession/Technical
You’ll start at our entry point salary of £44,339 per annum, increasing to £47,110 after 6 months service and satisfactory performance and to £49,881 after a further 6 months.

About this job
It is a very exciting time to join the MS Society as Evidence Programme Lead. We are implementing an ambitious cross-organisational transformation programme. And we have just started a new 2025-29 strategy.
We’re looking for a person with strong social research skills who has the ability to lead our Evidence team. We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure we’re developing our evidence base to inform our work.
With extensive experience and knowledge of applied research, evaluation and data analysis, you’ll provide strategic leadership to design, develop and deliver a programme of evidence projects as well as managing a team of evidence officers, identifying gaps in our evidence and providing advice about how to fill them.
You’ll deliver internal projects and commission external research projects, working with colleagues in policy, press, campaigns and beyond to do so. Contributing to key internal working groups will be another key aspect of the role, as well as monitoring and responding to requests for evidence. And you’ll be committed to ensuring people with MS are involved in the design and delivery of evidence projects and to ensuring we seek views from people from a wide range of backgrounds.
