This is a new, senior role at the Fair Education Alliance that will shape and lead our regional collaboration model. You will report into, and work closely with Gina Cicerone, Co-CEO. 

You will lead the implementation of FEA’s regional place-based collaboration approach. This includes overseeing the establishment of three deep, regional partnerships with combined authorities to enable cross-sector innovation and collaboration to improve outcomes for children and young people. You will lead on the creation of the core components of this model, reviewing and adapting as the work develops, working with FEA members, local leaders and young people to drive equity in education and employment outcomes. Each deep partnership will have its own Head of Region, to co-direct this work alongside you and a small central team. 

You will also be responsible for leading a peer network, enabling shared learning across combined authorities and utilising their collective insights to shape national policy and practice.

Financial Modelling Analyst | £50,000 - £55,000 | 12-month FTC | Fully Remote

For the UKs largest not-for-profit social enterprise in the employment and social mobility sector, we are recruiting a Financial Modeller / Analyst on a 12-month contract which could go permanent. Working closely with the finance business partners and commercial operations teams, this role will develop models to review commercial bids and acquisitions and provide insight to senior leaders on value drivers to inform decision making around bidding strategy and financial planning. We are recruiting a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our fundraising team. The post holder will be responsible for raising income from medium and large trusts and foundations giving five and six-figure grants. 

We are looking for someone with significant experience working in trusts and foundations fundraising, with a keen interest in our work to get children back in school and ready to learn. This role would suit someone who is looking to take the next step in their career. Additional support undertaking direct line management for the first time will be available if required.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.

In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We will achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of health. We need to inspire and connect with health leaders across Integrated Care Services (ICBs), Local Health Boards (LHBs), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and other relevant parts of the system. We need to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

Key Responsibilities

We are making progress building the evidence of what works within and around health services to reduce violence. But the big risk is that nothing changes. That’s where you come in. Your role is to identify the best way to make change happen within relevant health services. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring that:

We have great relationships with the people who can make change happen.

This will include:

• Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.
• Build a Strategic Advisory Board of leading experts across the health sector and keep members onside and excited about our work.
• Manage excellent Strategic Advisory Group meetings. You can read more about our Education Strategic Advisory Group here.

We deliver the health system recommendations. 

This will include:

• Helping to identify the right recommendations at a system level (such as changes in policy, regulation, inspection, funding, or guidance) that make it more likely highly vulnerable children get access to the right support at the right time.
• Creating and delivering a plan to deliver the health system reforms, working closely with leaders to make the change happen.
• Tracking progress carefully, being thoughtful and creative about when and how to change the plan. 

We work out the most effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then making those things happen.

This will include:

• Helping health leaders change how they plan or provide services to better protect children from violence, based on our Practice Guidance.
• You can read our first guidance for school, college, and alternative provision leaders here.
• Creating a plan to get people to follow our guidance, using what we know about how they think and behave.
• Continuously testing and improving our approach to get better results.

As a senior member of staff in the organisation you also:

About You

You are this sort of person:

You must have this sort of experience.

• Delivering concrete change in practice or systems that improved children’s lives.
• Leadership experience in the health system. You’ve worked at a senior level in or with health services – potentially in commissioning – and you understand how to navigate and influence within these complex systems.

First-hand knowledge of the system that supports highly vulnerable children, particularly those at risk of or involved in violence. This includes children with conditions such as conduct disorder, psychosis, substance use disorder, ADHD, developmental language disorder, and traumatic brain injury. You understand the barriers these children face and what it takes to get them the right support.

While it’s not a criterion, we are especially interested to hear from applicants who have lived experience of violence affecting young people.

Hybrid Working

The office is based in Central London. Those living in and around London are expected to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week. If you live outside of London and work remotely, you’ll be expected to work from the London office 2 days per month. Job Title: Executive Administrator 

Location: Central Office which is based around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington Station. Hybrid working available, approximately 2 - 3 days per week in the office including every Tuesday. Additional office, service, and away days would be required for attendance.

Salary: 

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. At times you may be required to work outside these hours, including for out of hours board meetings in the evenings, and other meetings which may be after hours. 

About the role

We're looking for an Executive Administrator to join our central office team, reporting to the Director of Finance and Resource. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative and governance support to various leaders within the organisation, including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), The Board, and CEO. 

In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of coordinating meetings, managing governance processes, and supporting strategic initiatives. You will facilitate board and SLT meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, taking formal minutes, and ensuring a timely follow-up on actions, whilst overseeing compliance with health and safety regulations, supporting the organisation's environmental strategy.

You will further line manage a small team of 2 Administrative Support Officers who support with the day to day administration and management of our central office.

About you

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced organisation. You will be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. You will be able to organise and manage events and away days, as well as manage our booking systems and general running. You will have proven minute taking experience, able to write minutes for meetings in an organised manner, and manage our shared online platforms for ease of access, and usability. You will have:

• Experience in high level administration duties, ideally within a similar role, supporting senior leadership teams and boards with all areas of administration
• Previous experience taking minutes in meetings
• IT Proficiency: Knowledge, skills, and ability to learn and manage online systems, particularly Microsoft programs, able to book and manage meetings using outlook and teams
• Excellent numeracy and financial skills, with the ability to deliver best practice in financial management and produce accurate and timely financial information
• Ability to write reports, manage data, and oversee audit processes to a professional, high business standard
• Ability to work with confidential information in a timely secure manner
• Analytical skills, with the ability to find, absorb, and summarise complex information
• Attention to detail and quality, able to verify and proofread documents
• Time and workload management: Ability to work to tight deadlines with competing priorities

A leading London-based higher education institution is seeking an Interim Deputy Finance Director to provide short-term leadership and oversight of its core finance operations, financial accounting, and compliance functions.

We require a hands-on, technically strong finance professional who can ensure the smooth running of day-to-day financial processes, team management, and statutory compliance.

You will report to the Director of Finance & Procurement and manage a team of 13 via four direct reports. This is an ideal assignment for someone with experience, supporting audits, and ensuring financial controls are embedded and working.

About You

• CCAB-qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, controls, and compliance
• Proven experience managing finance teams in a complex, regulated environment
• Confident in liaising with auditors, banks, and external advisers
• Comfortable working hands-on to resolve operational issues and ensure process continuity
• Available at short notice and able to quickly integrate into an existing finance function
• Experience in higher education, public sector, or not-for-profit organisations, with knowledge of HE SORP and UK GAAP
