We are recruiting for a part-time Administrator/ Finance Assistant who will work with the Manager and a small team to ensure the organised and efficient operation of the charity. You will need excellent administrative, organisational, IT and finance skills to provide administrative and financial support for all aspects of Home-Start’s work.  Experience of running payroll and using online accounting/payroll software would be beneficial.  Ideally suited to an excellent administrator who can develop into the finance role.  Training will be provided.

A good standard of education (GCSE, and relevant administration/ finance qualifications and/or experience), together with sensitivity and excellent communication skills are essential. You should understand and be committed to the role of the voluntary sector, be able to work in a small team, and demonstrate the ability of taking initiative.  An enhanced disclosure check will be required.

Mind in Enfield and Barnet is a fast-growing charity in North London providing much needed therapy, wellbeing support and advocacy services to people with mental health problems. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Community Care Coordinators to support some of our most vulnerable users of emergency services. These roles have been developed to further support our service users alongside our statutory partners at North Middlesex NHS Foundation Trust Emergency Department, to increase their wellbeing, confidence, social integration, and independence.

The successful candidates will be responsible for working with service users during periods of crisis and support them through their journey of recovery to ensure that they are receiving the support most beneficial to them. This will be achieved through a person-centred approach to ensure that the views of service users are central to the planned support they receive.

The successful candidates will take a lead in working with service users to assess needs/barriers preventing clients from recovery, working with them to create a personal action plan, and monitoring and evaluating outcomes and progress.

Independence will be encouraged through self-management and recovery.

The roles will involve working in the community and with the wider team as well as our partner organisation North Middlesex NHS Foundation Trust Emergency Department to ensure that the community is kept up to date with the services that we are offering and the strong reputation of Mind in Haringey as a leading provider of mental health services in the borough is maintained.

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:

• Experience in marketing and communications planning, ideally in the education or non-profit sectors

The National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) is seeking a proactive and skilled Media Officer to join our Communications and Public Affairs team. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to help shape and strengthen NFCC’s voice in the national conversation around fire and rescue services.

Reporting into the Media and External Affairs Manager, you will play a central role in growing our media presence and positioning NFCC as the go-to source for journalists covering national fire and rescue issues. You will help to ensure our messages are clear, timely, and authoritative across all platforms.

Serve as a point of contact for incoming media enquiries.

To deliver sessions to children, young people and their families that are diagnosed with or being assessed for neurodevelopmental conditions.

To support the development and delivery of bespoke programmes of support to children and young people and their families, under the guidance of the Service Delivery Manager.

As a practitioner, you will hold a caseload, will work as part of a team, undertaking assessments and delivering a range of evidence-based interventions for those on your caseload focused on neurodevelopmental conditions.

Deputy Head of Youth Work

The Deputy Head of Youth Work (Targeted & Partnerships) is a crucial role sitting within the Youth Zone Delivery Team. Reporting to the Head of Youth Work, you will be responsible for closely supporting the co-ordination, planning and delivery of an exceptional seven day per week youth offer within a state-of-the-art multi-million-pound centre.

About the Role

Through line management of your team and in collaboration with partners, you will ensure that the Youth Zone is accessed by all young people who need it the most. You will oversee community engagement outreach as part of the delivery ensuring the organisation continues to have a strong reputation and there remains a good awareness of the offer.

You will also be accountable for ensuring strong evidence of effective performance in line with vision, mission, values, and strategic objectives and that the team are afforded continuing professional development opportunities. You will need to be a big voice within a large team, owning and demonstrating a strong ethos, commitment, and dedication to improving the lives of children and young people and uniting them to fulfil their full potential. You will be confident in your abilities and able to deputise effectively for our Head of Youth Work as and when required. You will also be a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer.

Key responsibilities include:

• Line management of Female Engagement, Employability, Inclusion Coordinator and Outreach

• Monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all sessions including restricted-funding projects 

• Ensure the quality of the youth work offer across all direct report areas meet the standards of the organisation 

• Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships

• Manage one off projects, events and promotional activities 

• Identify suitable restricted-funding projects 

• Support, and in some cases manage, targeted projects as and when they come up, including budget management, and ensuring full monitoring and evaluation compliance

• Ensure that overall programme participation targets are consistently met

• Oversee budget lines of direct reports

• Work with the Head of Youth Work to prepare rotas 

• Working alongside the Head of Youth Work to ensure programmes are structured effectively and safely

• Lead sessions when required (usually this will be to cover annual leave or other staff absence)

• Produce the required reporting for Trustee and Board Sub-Committee meetings

About You

You will have strong safeguarding and sign posting experience and proven experience within the youth sector, including overcoming barriers to participation.

You will also have experience of:

• Successfully project managing programmes including reporting to funders on outcomes

• Working with young people

• Project management, including project design, coordination of logistics, coordination of project staff, monitoring and evaluation

• Working in partnerships with communities and organisations to improve positive outcomes of young people

• Line management

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day management and support of the Foundation’s World Fellowship programme and network; research, manage and develop donor relationships with a portfolio of donors.

Students use laptops and VR headsets throughout the lesson, so educators delivering the programme need to be confident and comfortable using this technology as part of their teaching (training will be provided).

About the role

We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.

This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

The West Midlands and North Wales regions are areas filled with some of our most committed supporters, but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from Birmingham hospitals and out in the community in North Wales, so building relationships with these teams are a must.
