We’re a thriving advice organisation that is part of the national Citizens Advice network. Our services are delivered by a team of around 40 paid staff and 60 volunteers. We have a typical annual turnover of £2 million and in addition to our core advice service, funded by Wandsworth Council, we have a range of projects funded by trusts, foundations and our local Integrated Care System.

While we’re proud of the number of residents we support, we know that we can’t meet demand for advice and that marginalised communities don’t always come to established organisations for support. Because of this, we place equal value on improving reach and access through creative collaboration with equity-led organisations, partnership development and capacity building.

Why we need you

We’re recruiting a Service Manager for our Financial Resilience Navigators project and Home Visiting Team. This role will sit within our Management Team and we expect the successful candidate will divide their time roughly equally between the two projects.

As well as contributing to the leadership of the organisation, the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading and supporting teams of staff and volunteers, ensuring they are equipped, trained, and motivated to deliver effective, high-quality client-centred services.
• Managing and supervising support and advice projects across multiple channels (in-person, outreach, home visiting, online, telephone), ensuring services are accessible to vulnerable client groups.
• Managing relationships with commissioners and funders, ensuring we meet our contractual obligations and can demonstrate this to our funders.
• Leading in building and maintaining positive, collaborative partnerships with statutory, voluntary, and community sector agencies and teams.
• Providing direct advice and ongoing support to clients, maintaining a caseload where appropriate, particularly in complex or high-priority situations.

This role might suit applicants wwith experience of giving advice and supervising advice services, but it also offers opportunities to develop skills and knowledge around Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, as the Financial Resilience Navigators project is a pilot that will be externally evaluated.

You will be joining at an important time for our team, covering a crucial role in ensuring accurate income processing, reporting, and financial management across the organisation. We are looking for an experienced Community Fundraising Manager to join our small and friendly fundraising team. You will be responsible for driving our strategy for Community Fundraising, Individual/Regular Giving and Events. With a database of around 100,000 registrants and 15,000 members, these existing income streams have lots of great potential. Purpose of the role

• Grow a successful existing income stream (Fundraising Events and Regular Giving) and develop and grow a comparatively new income stream (Community Fundraising and Individual Giving) for Twins Trust. • Experience of leading community, events, or Individual/Regular Giving fundraising - taking ownership and achieving growth in scale and income
• Experience of creating and delivering a new medium to large scale (£25k plus) fundraising event, maximising all commercial opportunities within it
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Ability to manage several projects at the same time
• Experience working in a CRM and analysing data to inform decision-making (Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager with a community-based charity on a permanent, full-time basis. As Finance Manager you will report into the Chief Finance Officer and line manager the Finance Assistant. This is a key role within the Finance team with a varied brief to deliver financial services across the organisation.

Please note, hybrid working is in place with this organisation with a minimum of 3 days per week needed in the office.

As Finance Manager, you will:

- Take ownership of and oversee the entire Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes – from processing invoices to payment run or credit control

- Prepare month-end and management accounts. Monitoring budget performance, identifying and investigating variances

- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial plans

- Prepare and file VAT Returns

- Liaise with other teams/departments across the charity and provide financial support, assistance and training

The successful applicant will:

- Have significant demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role

- Have exceptionally strong Excel skills with the ability to maintain and develop complex spreadsheets

- Be at least part qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc)

- Have significant bookkeeping and accounting experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, month-end/management accounts

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Purpose 

As Digital Content Manager, you will oversee and develop LabMed’s digital content across multiple platforms. This role offers a chance to apply your skills to make a tangible impact on healthcare and laboratory medicine, driving engagement and innovation in a meaningful field. 

You’ll lead our content strategy to grow engagement with key audiences, implement creative solutions to build our online presence, and explore new opportunities for revenue generation. You will work closely with the Chief Executive, membership volunteers, editorial boards, and the staff team to create impactful content that informs, inspires, and supports our diverse audiences.

Responsibilities 

• Lead the development and implementation of a content strategy to grow audience engagement through the Association’s website, e-newsletter and LabMed News (our member magazine). 
• Manage and innovate the content on Lab Tests Online (our patient-facing site) including supporting the Editor with editorial and review processes. 
• Liaise with editorial boards to ensure our digital content remains insightful and  relevant. 
• Commission, edit, and deliver high-quality content in partnership with editors, contributors, and topic experts. 
• Support the Publications and Communications Committee to ensure consistent quality and alignment with organisational goals. 
• Explore and implement opportunities for revenue generation through advertising and paid content. 
• Produce the Association’s Annual Report and contribute to business planning in collaboration with boards and teams. 
• Supervise the Marketing and Communications Officer, providing clear direction and support.
• Champion Labmed values of inclusion by supporting diverse editorial boards across our publishing programme. 
• Develop an awareness of work being done by LabMed committees to promote through communications channels

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to be responsible for our day-to-day office management.  This is a pivotal role in keeping our office running smoothly and providing a welcoming and safe environment for staff and visitors.

The role

The person will report jointly to the BIICL Director and the Director of Governance and Operations and will carry out the following duties:

General Management

• Overseeing daily office operations and maintaining a professional, welcoming environment.
• Being the first point of contact for calls, visitors, and general office enquiries.
• Handling outgoing and incoming mail and deliveries and ensuring efficient distribution.
• Oversight of facilities and day-to-day liaison with building management to ensure facilities are well-maintained.
• Purchasing of office supplies, furniture and non-IT equipment.
• Maintaining and reviewing insurance policies (with Director of Governance and Operations).
• Managing building access control systems and office security.
• Acting as a fire marshal and assisting with Health & Safety compliance, including workstation assessments for new staff and first aid training requirements.
• Leading on arrangements for social and team activities, e.g. staff Christmas party and other team building activities.

HR Administration

• Maintaining staff personnel files and holiday and sick leave records.
• Day-to-day management of staff recruitment including placing of advertisements and arrangements for shortlisting/interviewing.
• Assisting in the induction of new staff, volunteers and visiting fellows including maintaining and updating the induction pack and ensuring any compulsory training takes place (with Director of Governance & Operations).
• Co-ordinating arrangements for annual staff appraisals.
• Co-ordination of BIICL’s Volunteer and Visiting Fellow programmes (with Director of Training).
• Day-to day liaison with WorkNest (external providers of employment law support) including annual review of policies, contract and Staff Handbook.

Executive and Governance Support

•  Providing executive support to the BIICL Director, including diary management and correspondence, plus occasional assistance to Centre Heads.
• Acting as Secretary to the BIICL Management Board, including producing agenda, circulating papers and writing up action notes.
• Assisting with arrangements for major events such as the Annual Grotius and Weinrebe Lectures.
• Co-ordinating contributions to the Quarterly Research Bulletin.
• Other administrative assistance, as required.

Person specification

• Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills.
• Ability to work professionally with senior figures outside the organisation.
• Proven track record as an Office Manager, or in a similar role, preferably with experience of working in a smaller organisation.
• A collaborative and collegial team player, with the ability to work flexibly across a range of areas.
• Can-do attitude with a high attention to detail.
• Good writing skills.
• Proficient user of office software (e.g. MS Office, Teams).
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures.

As we embark on an exciting 5-year strategy we are looking to recruit an experienced Individual Giving Manager to focus on the delivery of repeat giving. Developing our weekly lottery, raffles and regular giving products and the sustainable income they provide.

This will be a crucial role within the team and playing the lead role in promoting these forms of giving to a wide external audience. Ensuring that we increase our reach across all areas of our communities through all forms of communications and engagement. You will also be able to work collaboratively across internal teams to promote regular giving and lottery products, ensuring that we maximise the potential of this important form of giving.

You’ll be an experienced direct marketer who is comfortable with product development and using data to drive a great experience for our supporters.
