About the role

As we enter an exciting new phase of digital maturity, we’re looking for a senior lead in AI to drive innovation and embed impactful and transparent use of AI across our charity to define clear ethical standards.
This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise, lead the exploration to design AI-powered products that will make a real difference – whether it’s enabling life-saving research, supporting fundraising innovation, or helping us connect with people affected by breast cancer in new and meaningful ways. You’ll play a pivotal role in embedding inclusive and responsible AI, ensuring that innovation is a sustainable discipline across our charity. You’ll also raise AI literacy at every level for colleagues across teams to our CEO and trustees running workshops, training and innovation sessions.

You’ll lead the AI product strategy and roadmap, aligning with our digital and organisational goals through cross team collaboration to spot opportunities where AI can deliver impact, from fundraising and services to research and operations.

Lead on AI trends and build prototypes, work with partners, and guide the transition from pilot projects to long-term solutions.

About you

This is a senior leadership role at The Charity, as part of the Extended Leadership Team, and reporting into the Director of People and Culture. You’ll work particularly closely with senior managers to attract, retain and develop a diverse and talented workforce. The role will be responsible for leading a small, capable team of HR, Volunteering, and Learning and Engagement colleagues in support of our strategic priorities. We’re a small team, requiring you to flex between strategic activity and hands-on operational management.

You’ll be an experienced Human Resources professional with the expertise and knowledge to develop and drive forward our people priorities, supporting team members and volunteers to thrive at work. And as a member of the CIPD, ideally Chartered, you will understand the importance of working in true partnership to advise and support your leadership peers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Leading People Operations: embedding excellent policies and processes, and advisory support

· Provide leadership of the the day-to-day People and Culture team at the Charity, including direct management of the People and Culture Manager, Volunteer Development Manager, and Learning and Engagement Manager.

· Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including engaging Champions Groups e.g. EDI Champions, to make The Charity a great place to work

· Provide senior leadership advisory support to Heads of Teams peers and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure we have the right skills and culture to enable our strategic priorities

· Provide advice, guidance and support to leaders and manager on employment law, people policies and practices, and manage complex employee relations matters as required

· Oversee the management of people operations suppliers, including with payroll and pensions, and setting and tracking the People and Culture budget in support of our people priorities

· Work with the People and Culture Manager to develop and deliver innovative recruitment plans that attract talented and diverse candidates, and inclusive selection and onboarding processes

· Work with the support of the People and Culture Manager to collect and report meaningful people data to inform decision-making, supporting retention and engagement.

· Work with the People and Culture Manager to evaluate, develop and manage wellbeing programmes that support the physical, mental, and emotional health of The Charity team

· Work with the Learning and Engagement Manager to develop a career framework that rewards and recognises strong performance and provides meaningful career development opportunities

· Work with the Learning and Engagement Manager to embed a culture of listening at The Charity, where people’s ideas and concerns are sought, listened to, and responded to. This includes overseeing strong internal communication.

Leading and delivering people and culture projects

· Support the Director of People and Culture to lead and deliver projects and initiatives in support of The Charity’s EDI plan, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within The Charity, and working to ensure that our team reflects the diverse communities that we serve.

· Lead change management projects, whether that’s supporting organisational growth, redesign to support capacity and capability for the future, or responding to external challenges

Digital Producer

This role can be based in any of our UK locations; Cardiff, Edinburgh, London, or Warrington. 

You will be required to attend the office for a minimum of 2 days per week with the option to work remotely for the remaining 3 days.

The Charity Spark is looking to appoint a Strategic Fundraising Consultant to expand our fundraising support for clients across the UK. This pivotal role will be a strategic fundraising lead, working with a diverse portfolio of clients to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies. What you’ll be doing:

1. Fundraising

1. • Develop and Lead Fundraising Strategies: Create bespoke, multi-stream fundraising strategies for a range of clients. This includes capital appeals and other large-scale projects, helping clients raise significant funds for transformative goals.
   • Income Diversification: Advise clients on how to diversify their fundraising portfolio, reducing reliance on any single income source and building resilience.
   • Trust and Foundation Fundraising: While the role is broader, you will still oversee and deliver trust fundraising work, including researching funders, writing bids and proposals, and supporting clients to steward donors effectively. You will also mentor and upskill clients and their teams on best practices.
   • Support the Director with developing strategic resources for fundraising including digital courses, blogs and downloadable resources for charities.

2. Business Development

About you:

• Experienced Fundraising Leader: You have a proven track record of success with five or more years of experience in fundraising. You demonstrate the ability to develop and execute effective, multi-stream strategies. You can tell us about fundraising successes you have been an important part of.

Age UK Croydon’s very successful Personal Safety Project (Falls Prevention) for older people in Croydon is recruiting a new Senior Personal Safety Assessor. If you are an enthusiastic, passionate and organised individual, this could be the role for you.

Our Personal Safety Project (PSP) is a free service which aims to help older people who have fallen or are at risk of falling at home. The service is available to anyone aged 50 and over who lives in the borough of Croydon.

Our trained assessors carry out a comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential causes of falls and hazards in the home and can arrange for stair rails, grab handles and other necessary aids and adaptations to be supplied and/or fitted, free of charge. The project can provide ongoing telephone support for up to six weeks to monitor the risk of further falls post engagement.

Reporting to the Director of Campaigns, Policy and Programmes, this is a new role working within the department to provide strategic oversight and coordination across War on Want’s campaigning portfolio, to evolve the organisation’s creative tools and techniques for both online and offline campaigning, and lead on impact learning to inform the development of campaign plans.

The role is both strategic and operational, supporting the development and integration of national and international campaigns that will engage and mobilise new and existing supporters, with a particular focus on War on Want’s priority campaign programme areas on Justice for Palestine and on a Global Green New Deal.

We are looking for an experienced campaign strategist who knows how to drive campaigns forward, familiar with the different tools and techniques to inspire online and offline campaigning, and who can spark creative ways to deliver impact and secure campaign successes working effectively and collaboratively across teams. You will be responsible for managing our three Senior Campaigners who lead on War on Want’s thematic campaigns, supporting strategy development and implementation, taking an intersectional approach to connect across the issues we campaign on, and coordinating across teams to ensure campaigns deliver for the shared organisational objectives of generating impact, engagement and income.

About Scripture Union    

You might have heard of us before if you're one of the 1.5 million+ who have attended one of our Christian holidays or missions over the years, or maybe you're one of the 40,000+ subscribers to have used our brilliant devotionals or been stirred by our exceptional bible resources. We've been at this for a fair few years... over 150 to be precise. Over this time, we’ve remained passionate about helping children and young people develop a vibrant faith in Jesus. As our name describes, the radical power of God's word has always been central to our approach.      

We still do all the great stuff with resources and holidays, but in the last few years, we have sharpened our vision with a renewed focus to help the ‘95%’ of young people (primary and secondary school age) across the UK who don’t go to church, and had opportunity to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus. We do this through equipping and resourcing the local church, training up volunteers and paid workers from local churches (we call them ‘Faith Guides’) and collaborating with local and national partners across the UK to connect with children and young people and support them on a journey of exploring faith in a way that is relevant and meaningful.    

In the last few years we’ve developed a brand new approach to how we do this, it’s simple and incredibly effective, we call it Revealing Jesus, and its making a massive difference.  In the last couple of years we’ve trained up nearly 600 Faith Guides across 400+ churches in England and Wales, collectively we’re seeing over 50,000 young people on a journey of exploring the christen faith and responding to an invitation to become followers of Jesus. About our team   

Like many jobs, you will work with lots of different teams in different contexts. With this role, you will have the benefit of being part of regionally focused team of 7 that is part of our wider movement.   

The successful candidate will be a part of our Central Region team of 7 workers who between us work across a region, from Suffolk to Gloucestershire, up to Shropshire, to Lincolnshire. About the role

We have an exiting opportunity for a Training Facilitator to join our Talent Development team, part of the wider People and Culture team here at SIG! Facilities and Office Admin

Data and Compliance

• Coordinating data processing requirements in line with our policies. Assist with managing data as instructed and per our data handling and retention policies.
• Coordinate and track data subject access requests as these arise.

Health & Safety

• Coordinate general Health and Safety documentation within the organisation ensuring fire and general risk assessments are completed in a timely manner, working with HR to coordinate information between the Techspace team and our Fire Marshalls and First Aiders.
• Act as a First Aider and/or Fire Marshal for ScreenSkills staff.
• Arrange annual training for first aiders and fire marshals.

Policies and Procedures

• Monitor the organisation’s policies, ensuring relevant senior managers are aware of the schedule to review/update them.
• Signposting staff to relevant policies and procedures as requested.
• Coordinate and track the organisations’ complaints process.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Essential:

• Proven experience working in a busy office and hybrid work environment, performing first class operations admin (e.g. office admin and or facilities coordinator tasks), supporting a hybrid/distributed workforce.
