We’re looking for an SRHR Policy and Advocacy Adviser (up to the end of June 2026) to play a key role in the final phase of a donor-funded programme as part of the Countdown 2030 Europe network. In this short but high-impact role, you will help deliver key influencing opportunities on the UK Government’s commitments to SRHR, while maintaining influential relationships across government, Parliament and civil society. You’ll also lead political influencing on major advocacy moments — including the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) and the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) — in meaningful partnership with young people.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a fellow SRHR Policy and Advocacy Adviser and the Senior Policy and Advocacy Manager, combining strengths to maximise our influence and deliver real impact for girls’ rights.

As part of our dynamic Policy, Campaigns and Youth team, you’ll work collaboratively across Plan International UK and with our federation partners to ensure our influencing strategies remain credible, evidence-based, and rooted in feminist, anti-racist and decolonial approaches.

You’ll bring strong policy and advocacy experience, ideally with a track record of shaping UK Government policy and working on SRHR. Confident in building and managing high-level relationships, including with senior government officials, you’ll be quick to apply your expertise in producing persuasive policy positions and communications. Experience of working within the UN system and knowledge of SRHR multilateral financing mechanisms would be an advantage.

We’re looking for passionate youth workers to join our team. Alongside Senior Youth Workers you will focus on delivering face-to-face youth work in schools and in community settings.

• Making referrals and liaising with other support agencies

The Food Policy Officer role:

Coeliac UK is looking for a skilled and motivated Food Policy Officer to support the charity’s activities in relation to food information with a focus on maintaining Coeliac UK’s food standards and monitoring the catering accreditation scheme. As Food Policy Officer and part of our Evidence and Policy team, you will support the charity’s mission of supporting our community to have access to gluten free food and manage a gluten free lifestyle safely. This role is interesting and varied, and if you are interested in food safety, quality assurance and, food policy and have experience working in or with charities, we would like to hear from you.

Key responsibilities of the Food Policy Officer:

• Monitor Coeliac UK’s gluten free catering accreditation scheme including reviewing audit reports, feedback and corrective actions.
• Work alongside the Commercial team to assist caterers in their preparation for Coeliac UK’s gluten free accreditation scheme
• To work with the Head of Food Policy in the development and review of food policy to draft policy positions and to contribute to the necessary intelligence gathering, horizon scanning and consultations to represent the charity.
• Provide administration for Coeliac UK’s Food Standards Committee
• Contribute to food research in order to develop the evidence base in the area of food and the gluten free diet
• Attend meetings with caterers and manufacturers working with Coeliac UK
• To represent and promote the work of the charity amongst stakeholders from the food sector and speaking at food events.
• Manage the creation of quarterly reports

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience required for the Food Policy Officer:

We’re looking for a positive and confident person with excellent organisation and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in quality assurance, food technology and nutrition
• Understanding of scientific evidence base and research
• Numerate with necessary skills to produce, monitor and interpret audit information, quality assurance processes and guidance information
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
