We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Cook Road, Horsham team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living. 
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community. 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).

• Be the main point of contact for any plant room issues. Take and record monthly utility readings. 

 Vehicles and Driving Duties 

• Safely drive the company minibus when required. 

• In accordance with the departments pre planned maintenance schedule, co-ordinate the MOTs, servicing, Road Fund License applications and tail lift services for the company vehicles. 

• Keep the pool vehicles and minibus in good condition to ensure roadworthiness. Record mileage, maintain logbook records. Prepare and maintain user guides for all company pool cars.

• Prepare Motability Foundation vehicles for end of lease return in a timely fashion and as to limit any penalties. 

• Receive in from suppliers and provide handover of hire vehicles and pool cars to staff including instructions on safe use and record damage, fuel levels etc.

• Provide light maintenance as applicable.

• Ensure that all access and egress areas are kept clear and risk free.
• Provide retrieval, storage, and distribution of items to and from our storage locations.

Bank Support Workers may be able to work shifts from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. While carrying out activities Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.

ABOUT THE SWAN YOUTH PROJECT

The Swan Youth Project (SYP) Limited is a Berkhamsted based registered charity which offers 11-16+ years old of Berkhamsted and the surrounding area, a safe and secure recreational facility within which they can relax and socialise away from the stresses of school or home life. To support them in this we provide a daily drop-in facility with organised activities at the centre as well as holiday programmes, workshops, music gigs and so much more.

The SYP centre is well equipped with a DJ booth, pool table, table football, Internet room, chill-out room, Wii & Xbox, coffee bar and a fully equipped band practice room. A free snack and hot drink are offered to all members (some of whom may not have eaten all day).

ABOUT THE ROLE: You will help plan, execute and engage in activities that enhance member development.

Duties will include:

1. Running daily sessions both in the centre and off-site activities / trips

2. Assist with the planning and set up of specific activities

3. Engage and build positive relationships with young people, responding appropriately to challenging situations

4. Create a calm and safe environment for both the young people and the staff.

5. All team members take on a share of the activities required for the smooth running of the centre; i.e. running our social media channels, fundraising, timely completion of all required centre checks

You will have some experience working with young people; this could be through volunteer work, youth coaching, or as part of a formal qualification route. Full training will be given to develop you on this rewarding career path. What is most important is that you;

The Finance Business Partner - Capital will be responsible for all assets accounting, loan and interest accounting, VAT and regulatory returns. They will have the business partnering responsibly for all property services activities. They will manage 1 direct report.

What you'll do:
* Lead the production of the PPE, FA investments, grant, loan and interest Look Ahead Care & Support (LACS) and Group consolidated notes.

* Oversee the Financial Statements, monthly reporting and lead the annual year end audit process for the subsidiaries including liaison with the external auditors.

* Prepare regulatory returns to the Regulator of Social Housing, including the annual FVA, annual grant returns, quarterly disposal returns.

* Responsible for the daily, monthly and quarterly cashflow forecast and cash reporting.
