Key Responsibilities
Supporter Services
- Lead the development and delivery of the new supporter services function considering people (capability, capacity and culture), processes, tools and technologies needed to deliver outstanding customer service so new and existing supporters feel valued and connected to the ESU’s mission.
- Design and implement supporter recruitment, development and retention plans including welcome journeys and approaches for reactivating dormant supporters.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to create segmented messaging to highlight the impact and value of the ESU’s work to Alumni, Members and Volunteers in the UK.
- Oversee payment processes and supporter payment journeys on our CRM, Salesforce.
- Work with the Marketing team to design ad hoc impactful events in person and online to convene our global audience.
- Work with the Marketing team to promote our flagship events to our supporter audience to encourage attendance.
Volunteering
- Design and implement a volunteering strategy which includes automating the volunteer experience, recruiting new volunteers and promoting ESU volunteering opportunities to relevant organisations as well as current and future supporters
- Own the volunteer training programme, including reviewing and refreshing training and ensuring all volunteers are appropriately trained.
- Match volunteers to ESU competition heats and resolve queries escalated by the Supporter Engagement Coordinator.
- Form partnerships with relevant organisations to grow the ESU’s pool of volunteers.
- Work with the Education team to create a high quality volunteer experience
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- 5+ years experience working in a partnerships, supporter services, volunteering or account management role
- Demonstrable experience of having delivered successful services to a range of supporters/customers.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering meaningful supporter journeys across multiple channels
- Demonstrable experience of growing and sustaining a pool of high quality volunteers through successful recruitment and development strategies
- Demonstrable experience of using a CRM (preferably Salesforce) to identify trends and drive improvements.
Desirable:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as marketing or communications
- An understanding of the nature and importance of the ESU’s charitable work and a strong commitment to increasing the reach of the organisation’s work.

About the role
We are launching the 2025-2026 Macmillan Clinical Fellowship programme. This is an exciting new programme, key in the implementation of our new ambitious 2025-2030 strategy.
The MDT fellow will be based in Centre of Clinical Expertise and be part of the core strategic group looking at Variation in Treatment and Care. Cancer MDTs are well established in the NHS as a core part of cancer care but significant variation in impact and efficiency exists and the role of the patient voice is often not prominent enough. The fellow will work across the organisation and form influential external relationships to support Macmillan to work with Health Care Systems across the UK to improve MDT ways of working.
This role will be both beneficial to Macmillan in helping to improve the lives of people living with cancer, as well as provide the successful candidate with a potentially career changing opportunity.
The fellow will be part of a highly motivated, inspirational and supportive team and be given mentorship support throughout the fellowship.
This role is being recruited to as part of a cohort of clinical fellows from different disciplines and will have different areas of focus around Macmillan’s core strategic objectives allowing for peer support and learning:

About the role
The post-holder will lead a team of advocates working with adults and young people across NHS and private hospitals and the local community.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe. The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe.
The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer. This position requires excellent relationship management, organisational and communication skills.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, processing collections (through ULI CT or ULI Europe) and preparing donor reports in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US.
- Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team.
- Collaborate closely with team members of the ULI Europe business Development and Membership team, in addition to ULI’s country directors and governance director to support the planning of, and coordinate the implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy determined by ULI Europe (namely by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee), focusing on both donations from individuals based in Europe and donations from European philanthropic foundations and government programmes;
- Work with and manage relationships with individual and institutional donors, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee;
- Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies;
- Coordination of proposal writing for potential foundation funding, in close collaboration with the research, marketing communications and legal and compliance teams.
- Set up and implement application, reporting and compliance process for philanthropic gifts for ULI Europe.

Donor Stewardship:

In this rewarding role, you will manage a portfolio of third party running, hiking and cycling events with the objective of raising over £1 million for people living with cancer.
You will be responsible for recruitment through paid and organic marketing and providing a sector-leading stewardship journey to ensure our supporters feel engaged and inspired from the moment they sign-up. You will also be responsible for multiple aspects of event delivery and have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the organisation.
You'll be line managing a Challenge Events Assistant who will play an important role in supporting your events programme, so strong relationship- building and nurturing skills will be key to help them develop and feel supported
This role includes weekend work, primarily attending events to support participants in person, therefore attending events is an essential part of this role. Time off in lieu will be provided for weekend commitments. This is a great opportunity for an experienced event delivery professional, to join one of the leading high value programmes in the sector. You'll get to work on a variety of different events including music, politics and galas. You'll bring with you experience of delivery and planning high profile events ideally in the philanthropy space, however we would also welcome applications from those that have experience working with high value audiences, potentially through working in academia, media, other research organisations or the arts.
What will I be doing?
End-to-end management of events, from conception and planning through to delivery and reporting (inc Source appropriate venues, suppliers and speakers and developing new event concepts and content)
Work collaboratively as part of the wider Philanthropy team to lead the delivery of events with a focus on stewardship, engagement and cultivation of our Philanthropic supporters.
Own the risk assessment, compliance and safety of your events and work with the legal team to ensure all suppliers are correctly contracted, minimizing and mitigating any risk to CRUK, our staff and supporters.
Develop strong working relationships with high-net-worth supporters (committees, sponsors, donors etc) and keep them informed/consulted on event progress and outcomes as needed. Work with them and their networks to align their event wishes with our event and wider philanthropy objectives.
Closely track and review all income and expenditure performance through internal processes
What are we looking for?
Previous experience working in an Event/Project Manager level role (ideally for high value audiences)
Experience in managing complex events or projects with multiple stakeholders on time and within budget
Experience of creating engaging and impactful event content an materials such as sponsorship proposals, speeches, event programmes and briefing documents
Ability to negotiate and secure best possible value for the charity
Ability to prioritise own workload and that of a project team
Excellent people and interpersonal skills - confident working with and influencing stakeholders of all levels, including celebrities and their management teams

Treasures Foundation offers accommodation and outreach to vulnerable women who have backgrounds of addiction, trauma, mental health and the criminal justice system. We provide housing and support until women can make the transition into their own homes, with some long-arm support extending beyond this period.
The Area Manager will work alongside the COO and CEO to help develop and manage the existing service as well as a new detox provision. Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Providing guidance to Specialist Support Manager, Project workers and Volunteers to support their professional development, ensuring that the service is run professionally, efficiently and effectively.
· Fostering a holistic approach to supporting staffs needs, through supervision and appraisals.

About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a Regional Casework Manager (RCM) to join the Scottish Regional Office of SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity.
You will be part of the regional office team, managing two Regional Casework Co-ordinators and two Casework Administrators. The team provides specialist administrative support and act as a single point of contact to SSAFA branch-based volunteers ensuring that SSAFA beneficiaries receive consistent, timely, and high-quality service. The RCM role will involve developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with volunteers, including branch-based casework managers. Additionally, the RCM will occasionally assist the Regional Casework Co-ordinators with call handling, signposting, and triaging initial client enquiries.
To help you establish yourself in this post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA. You will influence the processes and procedures within the regional office as it develops, working closely with a dedicated team under the guidance of the Regional Manager.
The position is home-based, but you will occasionally be required to travel within Scotland or to other locations.
About the team
The Scottish Regional Office operates as a "virtual" office, supporting 17 SSAFA branches across Scotland as volunteers deliver casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will join a support team that includes two Regional Casework Co-ordinators, two casework administrators, and a Regional Manager. All team members are homebased.
About you
To excel in this role, you should have a solid educational background and experience in managing employees, as well as overseeing and reporting on service delivery. You should have a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, achieving results through negotiation and influence. Previous experience of working with volunteers would be advantageous. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard and be capable of learning a computerised case management system quickly. Additionally, you should be skilled with numerical data.
The successful candidate will be capable of planning and managing their own workload, with minimal supervision and have considerable experience of managing accounts.
It would be desirable to have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. An understanding of the voluntary sector would be valuable, and the military charity sector landscape across Scotland would be beneficial.
