We are seeking a colleague with learning and development knowledge, graphic design, and content development skills to join the Learning and Development Team at Home-Start UK.

This is an exciting role, which will support the development, and maintenance of a new Knowledge Centre and content for our training and learning activities. You will be creating a wide range of informative resources, that appeal to different learning styles and objectives such as ‘tool kits,’ templates, video, audio, blogs etc as alternative ways of learning to support the work of the Home-Start network.

Working with Subject Matter Experts and colleagues across the organisation, the coordinator will be a point of contact for content creation, learning enquiries, administration, and communications.

About the Role

You will be responsible for offering infant feeding support for parents within Hackney borough community, within Family hub settings as well as in Homerton Hospital. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

· Providing breastfeeding support to families within family hubs settings within Hackney and on the wards at Homerton            hospital.

· Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters. 

· To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding                 Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.  

· To attend regular supervision/support sessions. 

· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all          support is accessible and inclusive.

· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
 
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breast milk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.

The role is 21 hours per week which will be predominantly Monday to Friday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This role is mainly based at family hubs setting across Hackney borough as well as in Homerton Hospital.

About the job

We're looking for two Education Quality Coordinator's to help make sure students' academic voices are heard loud and clear. You'll work closely with UAL staff and student leaders to deliver course-based initiatives, opportunities and events that make a real difference to the experience of our students. A big part of your role will be the annual cycle of recruiting, training and support course and school reps so they feel confident and capable in representing their peers. You'll work with students to collect and share feedback, run academic campaigns and help shape positive changes to courses across UAL. You'll also keep track of key data, and support targeted engagement initiatives, and make sure students feel a genuine sense of belonging through their academic journey. It's a hands-on role where relationship building and problem solving go hand in hand.

Who we are looking for ?

We want individuals who are organised, approachable, and love working with people. You should be comfortable building relationships with a wide range of students and staff, and able to explain processes clearly and simply. Experience in education, community development, or a similar role is a big plus - especially if you've delivered training or organised events before. You'll need strong data skills, from keeping accurate stats to analysing feedback and turning this into action. Being flexible, proactive and good at juggling projects will help you thrive. Most importantly, you'll care about creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where every student feels included, heard and that they can contribute.

About the role:

This is a home based role that will include travel across England and Wales when delivering training. You will be working within a specific project that delivers learning externally to other organisations outside of VS. Your primary goal will be to design and deliver high quality learning interventions based on what our customers need.

As an External Trainer you will:

• Manage, coordinate and deliver professional, engaging and interactive training sessions to external clients using a range of facilitation methods, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed training objectives, materials and quality standards.
• Lead on the design and development of bespoke learning content to meet client needs and support strategic goals.
• Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining close relationships with external clients.
• Responsible for managing delegates, dealing with any issues that arise throughout the learning session. Ensure that all nationally directed learning is delivered in line with the approved materials and standards.
• Lead on the continuous improvement of training, using assessments and feedback to make recommendations for amendments. Review and update training content regularly to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

You will need:

• Experience of delivering training programmes using a variety of different methods e.g. face to face, virtual and one to one, managing delegates and issues that may arise
• Experience of designing and delivering training for adult learners, ideally within a commercial or client-facing environment
• Experience of delivering soft skills training and experiential learning activities
• Ability to develop a range of learning and development solutions that meet client priorities
• Experience of planning courses and evaluating outcomes
• A driving licence as this role does require frequent travel across England and Wales

Job Title: Domestic Abuse Helpline Advisor x5

Location: Homeworking with a requirement to occasionally work at Head Office (Vauxhall, London)
Salary: £17,314.27 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting allowance if applicable
Contract type: Part Time, Fixed Term until 31 March 2026 (possibility of extension)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours rota that includes evenings, weekends and night shifts)

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Domestic Abuse Helpline Advisor to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence and abuse, including those at the point of crisis.

Helpline Advisors are responsible for providing high-quality, empowering, emotional and practical support, assistance and information to women and those supporting them, who contact the Freephone 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline, run by Refuge. Helpline Advisors deliver one to one support to women and those supporting them to ensure that they are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming service, enabling women to understand their rights, make decisions and increase their options. The job involves working across multiple platforms including phone and live chat, to inform survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

Please note that this post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours rota that includes evenings, weekends and night shifts.
