What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver a high-value major donor strategy to meet ambitious income targets.
• Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
• Personally solicit significant five- and six-figure gifts.
• Lead on proposals, cases for support and impactful donor reporting.
• Support and develop a Capital Appeal Board to leverage networks and unlock transformational gifts.
• Collaborate across teams to align strategy and inspire confidence at every level.

What we’re looking for:

• A proven track record of securing five- and six-figure gifts from new and existing philanthropic donors.
• Strong experience in donor identification, cultivation, and stewardship.
• Excellent relationship-building, influencing and communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting or developing appeal boards (desirable).

· Deepen relationships with existing supporters by developing and delivering an impactful stewardship framework for individual donors.

· Work in consultation with the marketing team to create inspiring and relevant communication strategy for individual supporters with a focus on impact, to include regular feedback mechanisms to improve stewardship plans and engagement.

· Build the financial resilience of the Cathedral through developing individual prospecting processes, prospect research, and developing qualified prospect pipelines to secure income from individual supporters and major donors. With an initial focus on the Vicars’ Close project and developing in line with future priorities.

· Work with the Director of Development to develop an inspiring range of bespoke cultivation plans for Major Donors.

· Design, deliver and support a range of unique events to inspire supporters and cultivate new relationships, bringing to life the extraordinary work of the Cathedral. Work across the cathedral to integrate fundraising into existing events and programmes.

· Achieve results through persuasive and compelling proposals for Major Donors and creation of robust budgets. Amplify project impact through inspiring reports and personalised engagement opportunities.

· Develop, manage and deliver Wells Cathedral’s individual giving programmes, including Planned Giving, regular inspiring appeals and individual giving opportunities as part of priority projects.

· Strengthen supporter relationships across the organisation, working with the Cathedral leadership team, Chapter and project leads to support engagement with individual donors and Major Donors.

· Develop and implement plans to keep existing donors engaged, with opportunities to increase their level of giving over time and in line with projects and targeted appeals.

· Regularly report progress to the Development Director and Cathedral Chapter on the individual giving income pipeline, supporter engagement, upcoming opportunities, and challenges.

· Keep up to date with trends and good practice and identify opportunities to improve and develop Wells Cathedral’s individual giving.

· Utilise CRM as an effective Relationship Management tool and develop robust prospecting processes.

· As the Cathedral’s Gift in Wills strategy develops, support engagement opportunities for individual supporters and develop appropriate processes to support this area.

· Network and keep abreast of the wider funding landscape and giving trends to inform the strategy.

· Support the team through additional duties as reasonably required to assist the smooth and efficient running of the Development Team and maximise the impact of the fundraising function. Some weekend and out of hours working may be required.

Blue Cross Southampton Rehoming Centre has cared for pets and supported the local community since 1988. The site provides care for dogs, cats and kittens, while our dedicated offsite team supports small pets in foster homes and through our home direct scheme.

As Centre Manager, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the Centre – pets, people, facilities, compliance and finances. Working closely with your Assistant Managers, you’ll inspire and empower your team, embed a culture of continuous improvement and ensure the highest welfare standards.

This role is about leading people and leading change. We have a skilled, passionate team with great ideas – we now need someone who can take those forward, make things happen, and bring colleagues with them on the journey. About the Role

We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Support Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building. Situated in the centre of Worthing, the project has strong links with and contributes to the local community.

In delivering the role, you will report to the Supported Housing Manager and be responsible for:

Service Provision: Supporting the Supported Housing Manager with the daily operations of the services so that they meet the requirements of the service specification including compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) and Ofsted regulations. Oversee the residents’ referral, interview and induction processes for all beds and ensure the Occupancy Agreements and House Rules are fully understood. Ensure the quality of accommodation that is provided, liaising with the Housing and Property Services team to complete estate inspections and health and safety risk assessments, and to turn around voids and organise repairs in line with organisational targets and statutory obligations. With the Supported Housing Manager ensure effective income collection for all beds, working closely with the Rents team to create a rent payment culture.

Leadership and People Management: Directly line manage team members, ensuring their service delivery, working culture and personal development mirror best practice. Ensuring the team is adequately trained and empowered to work effectively and creatively with our young people to enable them to achieve their aspirations and ambitions, whilst ensuring they are supported within safe and consistent boundaries.

General: Be a member of the ‘on call’ rota to provide out of hours management support to projects in the wider locality. Reflect Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma Informed approaches and restorative practices.

The Youth & Communities Programme Manager provides leadership and management for the youth & communities team and their programme of work, driving quality delivery and growth.

Working closely with other programme managers, they ensure that delivery is focused on achieving the Groundwork GM vision, facilitate learning across programme areas, ensure consistency in programme delivery and explore improvements to the way we work.

Delivery

· Lead and effectively manage the youth & communities programme, including:

- Community youth work, detached and centre/park based

- Youth & community engagement in climate and nature projects

- Capacity building, including coaching, mentoring and skills development.

- Community outreach to support Groundwork’s services to reach their target audiences.

· Ensure appropriate allocation of team and financial resources, that deliverables and quality standards are met and impact and outcome data is collected and analysed for learning and reporting.

Business & Service Development

· Lead and manage the youth & communities team’s business development plan;

- implementing sustainability plans for core services

- identifying areas for growth and pro-actively identifying opportunities to achieve it.

· Manage and grow delivery partnerships and relationships to support programme development, delivery and growth.

· Champion GGM’s listening and learning culture with the team and use data and feedback from participants to inform programme improvement, development and growth.

· Work closely with Groundwork UK and other Groundwork Trusts where appropriate to develop services and share learning.

Financial & Resource Management

· Produce and manage the programme’s budgets and resources available.

· Develop and realise financial sustainability plans for core programmes and growth plans where agreed:

- Preparing funding bids and proposals

- Working with partners to develop and input to bids and proposals led by others

· Support strategic managers with larger income generating opportunities and longer term financial planning.

People Management & Development

· Provide line management for seniors and project leads and HR support for the team in relation to day-to-day HR issues and well-being.

· Be accountable for the team’s performance, development and wellbeing in the workplace.

· Drive the embedding of GGM’s culture and values within the team.

· Support the delivery of strategic workforce development plans.

· Be accountable for managing GGM and team level communication and maintaining consistent messaging as agreed with senior leadership.

Internal Management

· Embed GGM policies and procedures across programmes, champion delivery standards and ensure compliance.

· Champion key business priorities such as EDI and carbon reduction across the team, ensuring these are embedded across all team operations.

· Lead the development and delivery of business improvement plans.

· Collate, analyse and learn from data and feedback to influence policy and action.

Role overview

The Transformation Hub Manager will play a pivotal role in reshaping our service offerings by creating a vibrant, inclusive, and strengths-based hub for our communities - many of who are underserved, including asylum seekers, refugees, residents facing isolation, and those affected by homelessness. You will lead on the delivery and successful management of our National Lottery funded RenewALL Hub, transforming our ideas from concept into a sustainable, impactful centre for community wellbeing. Central to this role is continuing to drive the shift from a crisis-led service model to a holistic, strengths-based approach, ensuring the RenewALL hub empowers Newham residents to connect, grow, and thrive. A major part of this transformation will be designing and delivering a wide range of new activities and services. Crucially, the Hub will not just deliver activities for residents but will be co-designed and co-produced with them, embedding lived experience and the voice of the community at its core. Success will depend on your ability to build and lead a coherent, motivated team of staff and volunteers, uniting them behind the shared vision of the Hub. Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Hub Development

• Lead a team to ensure the successful implementation of the RenewALL Hub project, as submitted to the National Lottery Community Fund, aligning all activities with our “Open House” strategy and theory of change.
• Champion and embed a strengths-based, “advantaged thinking” culture across all Hub operations, actively shifting the focus from deficits to assets.
• Build and inspire a coherent, motivated team of staff and volunteers, uniting them around a shared vision for transformation.

Programme Design & Community Co-Production

• Oversee the design, delivery, and continuous evaluation of a diverse, inclusive weekly programme of activities, informed by community consultation and resident priorities.
• Manage a portfolio of activities that improve wellbeing, reduce isolation, and build skills — including health & wellbeing sessions, cultural celebrations, social connection groups, and learning opportunities.
• Facilitate and champion the Community Hub Involvement Panel (CHIP), ensuring residents co-produce activities and influence the Hub’s direction, with a pathway to influencing trustee-level decision making.

Partnership Development

• Build and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, including NHS teams, Public Health colleagues and social prescribers, creating integrated wellbeing pathways for Newham residents.
• Maintain and expand relationships with local organisations, agencies, and community groups, ensuring the Hub complements and connects with wider services.

Community Food & Social Connection

• Provide oversight (via the Food Sustainability Coordinator) for all food-related initiatives, ensuring they align with the Hub’s ethos of dignity, choice, and resilience.
• Direct the strategic transition from over-reliance on a traditional Food Bank to an empowering Food Club model, reinforcing pathways from crisis to independence.

Operational Leadership

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the Hub space, ensuring it is safe, welcoming, and open 7 days a week.
• Coordinate and support staff, volunteers, and sessional workers across the Hub, embedding strong safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.

Promotion & Outreach

• Work with the marketing team to promote the Hub’s activities widely, ensuring strong engagement from under-represented and vulnerable groups.
• Conduct outreach to engage under represented residents, ensuring activities are culturally inclusive and accessible.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Compliance

• Lead on the monitoring and evaluation requirements of our Lottery bid.
• Use monitoring and evaluation tools (e.g., Upshot) to track engagement, outcomes, and impact, ensuring activities remain effective and relevant.
• Ensure compliance with all necessary regulations, safeguarding, and legal requirements.

Person Specification

• Passionate about community empowerment, inclusion, and tackling inequalities

Purpose of the role

The Community Centre Manager will play a key role in the leadership and smooth running of the Community Centre managing change, growth and performance as agreed with the Board of Trustees.

Working closely with the trustees, employees, consultants, contractors, volunteers and other local organisations, the Manager will work to ensure the Community Centre is a vibrant, well-managed facility that operates within a sustainable framework for the benefit of local residents and organisations. They will also promote the profile, role and impact of the Centre.

Principle duties and responsibilities

Management of the Community Centre

Manage the operations of the Community Centre and its staff and the development and delivery of activities and facilities in line with the business and strategic plan. Ensure compliance with employment law and that we follow good practice with regard to HR.

Contribute to the planning, development, implementation and delivery of the business and strategic plan and present regular progress updates to the Board.

Oversee the maintenance of the building - including building maintenance and improvement programmes.

Lead on and contribute to identifying and apply for funding from local and national organisations. Role will also lead on ensuring aims are met and reporting of outcomes to funding organisation.

Manage and monitor all aspects of risk assessments, health and safety and security as required by regulation or good practice including, in conjunction with the Trustees, the review and updating of policies and procedure.

Lead on General Data Protection Regulation and Safeguarding, maintaining records to ensure the charity fulfils all its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities.

Ensure programme of activities delivered within the Park Centre align with the charitable aims of the organisation and ensure that it is relevant to local community, responding to needs and raising the profile of the Centre.

Management of staff and Volunteers

Create a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are well managed, dignity at work is upheld and staff and volunteers can achieve their best.

Ensure effective management of HR including recruitment, supervision and development of employees and volunteers, including carrying out DBS checks as necessary.

Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and best working practices.

Oversee the Community Centre’s complaints procedure, and the proper handling, investigation and resolution of any complaints against the Centre, its staff and volunteers.

Positively represent the Centre and the community at partner and other meetings/events to raise the profile of the Community Centre and to ensure the views and needs of the community are prioritised and included.

Continue to strengthen the reputation of the Community Centre by giving maximum visibility to its activities and achievements.

Ensure through listening to the community, monitoring and evaluating provision and adapting the service, the Centre meets the needs of the local community.

Prepare reports for and attend all Board and annual general meetings.

PR/Marketing and Fundraising

Oversee the development and implementation of an income generation & marketing strategy.  

Develop strategies to promote the use and profile of the Community Centre, maximising use of social media, publicity opportunities and liaison with the local media.  

Identify and secure new funding through grant applications and other means.  

Continue maintaining and developing positive relationships with funders, both grant makers, sponsors and individuals.

Financial management

Liaise with the treasurer and accountant in setting and managing budgets and maintain an overview of the financial position of the Community Centre.

Code invoices to ensure that income and expenditure is allocated to correct projects. 

Ensure completion of reports/returns to statutory bodies and funders and compilation of grant applications. 

Ensure best practice in all financial matters.

Project Management 

Support and oversee the continued delivery of high-quality services and activities.

Ensure all project leads are liaised with regularly to ensure compliance with objectives and outcomes.

Devise and implement robust impact monitoring and evaluation strategies for all projects. 

Ensure all projects are correctly risk assessed and supported.

The Park Centre Kingswood has a small team of employees, contractors, volunteers and a wide range of activities. it is expected that the post holder will be flexible in assisting in areas of work which go beyond their main duties. In particular, the holder of this post will be expected to assist with covering frontline reception and administrative duties and attendance at and/or supervision of events outside of normal working hours.
