Main Purpose of the Post

To lead the strategic planning, development, and delivery of Learning through Landscapes’ (LtL) communications and marketing activities. This role will ensure effective communication with key audiences, grow engagement, and strengthen the LtL brand, positioning the organisation as the leading voice in outdoor learning and play. The Strategic Communications Lead will oversee all communications activities, manage a growing team including the Digital Marketing & Operations Manager, and ensure alignment with organisational goals and the communications strategy.

Specific Duties

Strategic Leadership

• Lead the development and implementation of the LtL communications strategy in line with organisational objectives.

• Align communication efforts with the key goals of growing audience engagement, generating leads, and enhancing the charity’s visibility and credibility.

• Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all communications adhere to LtL’s brand guidelines and key messaging.

Team Management

• Line-manage the growing Communications team, including the Digital Marketing & Operations Manager, providing guidance, support, and oversight of their responsibilities, including social media, website, and email marketing activities.

• Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the communications team, and work closely with other departments to align communications with organisational priorities.

• Provide regular performance reviews and professional development opportunities for direct reports.

Campaigns and Content Development

• Plan and oversee the creation of compelling and engaging content for digital and traditional media platforms, ensuring alignment with key messaging.

• Work with the Digital Marketing & Operations Manager to deliver multichannel marketing campaigns, including organic and paid campaigns across platforms such as social media, Google Ads, and email.

• Lead on the development of innovative approaches to audience engagement, including storytelling, case studies, and evidence-led communications.

• Lead the delivery of the Outdoor Classroom Day campaign, including coordinating media interest, collaborating with global NGOs and internal teams on campaign themes, and managing data collection, evaluation, and related communications.

External and Internal Communications

• Serve as the first point of media contact for LtL, building relationships with journalists, influencers, and partners to amplify LtL’s reach.

• Advise and support internal teams on communication best practices, integrating communications planning into the early stages of project development.

• Collaborate with partner organisations to deliver cohesive and impactful communications plans for joint projects.

• Strengthen internal communication processes to ensure organisational cohesion and awareness of communications initiatives.

Monitoring and Evaluation

• Improve systems for measuring and reporting communications impact, including audience engagement, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.

• Provide regular reports to senior management, using data to demonstrate progress and inform future strategies.

• Conduct ongoing analysis of audience behaviours and preferences to refine communication efforts.

General Responsibilities

• Stay informed on trends in digital marketing, communications, and education to keep LtL’s approaches current and impactful.

• Support organisational goals by contributing to cross-functional projects and initiatives.

• Ensure all communications comply with GDPR and safeguarding policies.

• Represent LtL at relevant external events and networks as needed.

What you’ll need:

• Experience of leading communications or marketing at a strategic level, preferably in the charitable or education sectors

• Proven ability to develop and implement multi-channel communications strategies that grow engagement and support organisational goals

• Experience of managing staff, fostering collaboration, and supporting professional development within a communications team

• Strong track record in campaign planning and delivery, including digital marketing, content creation, and media engagement

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling

• Computer literate with experience using digital marketing tools and platforms such as email marketing systems, social media scheduling tools, and content management systems

• Strong understanding of branding and the importance of consistent messaging

• Confident using data to evaluate performance and inform strategy

• Proactive, organised, and able to work flexibly across multiple priorities

• Knowledge of GDPR compliance and safeguarding in a communications context

Job Purpose

Carers Manchester Contact Point (CMCP) is the first point of contact for unpaid carers seeking information, advice and support to help them with their caring role.

The service delivers a free confidential helpline for carers weekdays (Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm). These times are subject to change, based on the needs and requirements of carers using the service.

The aim of this role is to be part of a team providing a comprehensive information, advice and support to carers in Manchester. The post holder will work alongside colleagues from Gaddum and potentially other organisations to be the first contact in a busy service providing advice via a telephone advice line and managing referrals made through digital sources. They will provide information and advice and refer more complex issues to the appropriate agencies delivering the Manchester Carers Pathway.

Key responsibilities 

Advice giving

• Answering telephone calls into a central helpline offering support and guidance to unpaid carers in Manchester.
• Provide relevant and meaningful support and information to unpaid carers utilising internal and external resources.
• Inform carers about carers assessments and refer where necessary.
• Inform carers about emergency grants available and refer where necessary.
• Ensure all advice and support given is delivered in a timely manner to suit the needs of carers calling the helpline whilst balancing waiting callers.

Follow-up support

• Refer unpaid carers to local services to access local and culturally appropriate support in their area.
• Refer carers to Adult Social Care for Carers Assessments to discuss and improve their caring situation.
• Signpost carers to relevant services in Manchester suited to their individual need.
• Complete relevant grant applications for carers using the service where needed.
• Use Carers Manchester Contact Point and other reliable and accurate resources to find, interpret and communicate relevant information to carers
• Research and explore options and implications so that carers can make informed decisions.
• Write and maintain detailed case records for all casework completed.
• Collect required data for statistical monitoring and report preparation.
• Complete the required training to comply with quality assurance processes.

The post-holder will be required to undertake other tasks as reasonably directed by the CMCP Coordinator, which will usually be commensurate with the skills and experience of the post-holder.

About the role
Working under the direction and supervision of the Community and IPU Service Managers; you will work in collaboration with the District Nurses and Specialist Palliative Care Team, our HOME team of experienced HCAs and the MDT of Medics, Nurses and HCAs on IPU. You will deliver personal cares, emotional support and a calming presence to people at the end of their lives, in both the home of our community patients throughout North Yorkshire, and the IPU at either Crimple House, Harrogate or The Lambert, Thirsk.
This role is a hybrid position; therefore, you must be willing to work between the community and IPU when required.
Visits in the Community will be variable times and lengths each day. Shifts on IPU will include Earlies, Lates, Twilights and Night shifts.
Candidates are required to hold a full driving license and have access to their own vehicle to travel between patients’ homes in the community.

Working as part of the Development Team, to plan and execute effective fundraising strategies for Derby Theatre. The role will have a particular focus on copywriting for trusts and foundations, cultivating donor relationships and coordinating and developing Derby Theatres’ Friends scheme.  The Development Officer will also deputise for the Head of Development as required.

 

Key responsibilities

Trusts and Foundations

· Conduct research into possible funding streams for funding priorities.

· Assist in the production of funding reports for existing supporters.

· Update the reporting schedule, to include deadlines.

· Draft applications for small grants (under £15,000) and support the Head of Development in making applications for large grants.

· Assist the Head of Development in creating proposal templates for all key projects.

 

Individual Giving, including Friends Scheme

· Work closely with the Head of Development to develop and manage the individual giving strategy, including legacy fundraising, to ensure retention and growth.

· Coordinate and administer the Derby Theatre Friends Scheme including payments and renewals alongside the marketing and box office team.

· Work closely with the marketing team to oversee all Friends communications, including scheduling and writing content.

· Take responsibility for stewarding relationships with donors and Friends including arranging meetings and supporter events throughout the year.

· Work with the Box Office team to oversee and grow Point of Sale (POS) donations and Gift Aid sign up, working to achieve targets set and reporting progress to the Head of Development.

Corporate Giving

· Work with the Head of Development to implement the Corporate Giving strategy to include researching and identifying new corporate prospects. Attend networking events to build relationships and take responsibility for cultivating prospects, developing relevant proposals and key messaging and overseeing the administration relating to corporate supporters.

Development Events

• Organise, manage and attend supporters’ evenings including liaising with front of house and catering staff, and managing the guest list.

Administration

· Support the development and executive teams by preparing briefing notes, and research profiles for the fundraising activity.

· Assist the Head of Development in keeping the team informed with any legislation or trends development within fundraising.

· Maintain accurate records on Spektrix and the shared drive, as well as keeping efficient paper files and audit trails where appropriate and make sure financial data is accurate and funds are received timely.

· Liaise with all teams to ensure that project information and budgets are up to date.

· Update the website and printed materials with the relevant fundraising information and credits.

· Support on the collation of data for applications and reports, including Arts Council England reporting.

General

· To actively support and promote Derby Theatre’s Learning Theatre model, including a commitment to engage with the University of Derby’s Theatre-related higher education provision; to contribute to learning opportunities such as work experience, placements, and the theatre’s role as a learning environment.

· To keep up to date with developments in the industry as they relate to your role, and to contribute to the overall development of the department and organisation.

Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative psychologist to join our warm and friendly team at our Dose of Nature hub in Surrey. Dose of Nature is in an exciting phase as we continue to receive funding to expand our reach, particularly increasing accessibility to our service for clients living in the Waverley area.

We are seeking a psychologist with passion for the natural world and there is great potential for the psychologist to lead on areas in which we seek to develop and expand. The post-holder would be closely supported by the psychology team, as well as the wider team, to do so.

Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature.  We deliver ‘Nature Prescriptions’ to adults (aged 18+) referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.

Our Dose of Nature Prescription is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing.  Dose of Nature is a fun, supportive and lively organisation that encourages creativity and independence, as well as a strong sense of working together as a team.

The nature of the role requires occasional evenings and weekends to cover monthly volunteer training evenings and social events as necessitated by the needs of the charity.

Key Responsibilities 

Clinical 

• To carry out psychological assessments of clients referred to the service, to reach a psychological formulation of the client’s difficulties and understand their wider contextual needs, and to support those clients throughout their journey with Dose of Nature, offering ad-hoc support where needed.
• To subsequently pair clients with an appropriate volunteer Nature Guide who then delivers the Dose of Nature Prescription.
• To review clients at the end of their Dose of Nature Prescription and ensure that those clients who would like to and / or need to, maintain connection with Dose of Nature by attending groups, social events, and through ad-hoc support.
• To maintain relationships with GP practices and other referrers, and to inform them of client progress.
• To support the Clinical Lead to offer workshops and presentations to other agencies, professional colleagues and in the wider community.
• To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals, staff members and volunteers contributing to a client’s recovery.
• To undertake risk assessment, formulation, and management of clients and to provide advice to the Dose of Nature team on psychological aspects of risk assessment, formulation, and management.
• To actively promote client involvement in their recovery and service development.

Teaching, Training, and Supervision

• To receive and provide regular clinical supervision.
• To gain additional experience and skills relevant to the Dose of Nature model.
• To provide clinical placements for trainee counsellors and / or trainee psychologists where needed and if appropriate, ensuring that trainees acquire the necessary skills and experience to contribute effectively to client recovery, utilising the Dose of Nature model.
• To provide advice, consultation and training to staff and volunteers.

Management, Leadership, Recruitment, Policy and Service Development

• To participate in identifying and implementing the development of a high quality, responsible and accessible service.
• To contribute to the development, evaluation and monitoring of the team’s operational policies and services, through the deployment of professional skills in research, service evaluation and audit

We are seeking a home-based Communications Officer to join RSPB Scotland's communications team.

What's the role about?

You'll be part of a dynamic team working across Scotland to unearth and tell great stories from colleagues that inspire key audiences about RSPB Scotland’s nature conservation work.

The role is diverse and busy, working on the roll out of RSPB-wide campaigns like Big Garden Birdwatch, managing and creating content for social media platforms, responding to press enquiries and building relationships with colleagues working in different areas of Scotland to bring their work to life in print, blogs, film and more.
