Job Title: Support Mentor (Nights)
Location: Latimer Road, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) - Short walking distance from Latimer Road underground station (Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines)

Salary: £27,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a 6 week rolling rota which includes at least one day shift per week, weekends, and bank holidays. Hours can vary between 21:00 - 09:00 and 11:00 - 20:00
About the role
Our residents in this service have experienced long-term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.
As a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provides person centred support to our residents, you will work to ensure safety and wellbeing of our residents. You will support mainly the night shifts to ensure the service runs smoothly at night, being a point of contact for residents, engaging with them to ensure their safety comes first, and running various evening activities for engagement. You will build trusting and professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through one to one sessions, group sessions, and general wellbeing check ins. During quieter hours, you will be responsible for ensuring administration is up to date, the service is kept clean and tidy, and will support with additional ad hoc tasks.
About you
We're looking for someone who has a true passion for what we do as an organisation, and particularly in supporting those who have faced homelessness and may have other complex needs. Our residents needs are at the forefront of service delivery, so someone who can build trusting professional relationships is key. You will be adaptable, proactive, and able to use your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. You will be able to work within a team, and have previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, putting their needs first for the team to be able to deliver support to their needs. What are we looking for:
- Understanding of the needs of those who have faced homelessness and have various complex needs including mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency
- Ability to use IT systems to record case notes, email relevant people, and use other software required within the role
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs

We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Brighton - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.
You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 10,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
- Handling safeguarding
- Taking a lead on rating the work readiness of the trainees and making sure data is inputted and used correctly on salesforce
- Tracking trainee progress on the dashboards
- Liaising with volunteers for key programme engagement events such as mock interviews and external panels. Leading on briefings and communications with these volunteers
Delivery of Spear Career [20%]
- Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees
Training the Graduate Coach [10%]
- Contributing towards the training and developing of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback
Trainee recruitment [10%]
- Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics
Continuous professional development
- Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and possibly supporting on leading internal training such as Grad Coach Training
Active participation in and support for church team and mission
- As the Spear programme is run in partnership with a local church partner, you will establish a strong personal connection with the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

About the role of Assistant Communications Officer:
- You will be supporting both the media team and wider communications team to help us reach as wide an audience as possible.
- Supporting the media team with day-to-day tasks such as writing and issuing the daily news summary, managing rotas, assisting with compiling monthly reports, take part in the team rota to be the first point of contact for media requests coming into the organisation - via press phone and media inbox.
- Supporting the media team with campaign press - writing press releases and creating social media content, pitching stories to journalists, setting up media interviews and writing briefing documents and work with the social media team to monitor our social channels and interact with followers where required.
You will be a crucial cog in ensuring the smooth running of the press office with:
· Strong organisation and time management skills to keep the team running efficiently and manage your varied workload.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist (Band 7) – Fixed Term Contract November 2026 to join our Rehabilitation services team. This role is to provide high quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention to children and young people with neurodisabilities, neurodevelopmental and orthopaedic conditions and respiratory needs. All interventions will be goal focused, evidence-based, and child and family centred.
Role Requirements
- Assess, plan, execute and evaluate physiotherapy interventions for referred children, within a multidisciplinary team setting and using facilities available, both on and off site.
- Carry out highly specialist physiotherapy assessments and interventions, including support for the on-site Botox clinic; Casing; and Orthotics provision.
- Produce functional goals in collaboration with the child / young person, family and MDT.
- Devise suitable, individualised, 24hr physiotherapy/postural management programmes for each child, whether to be carried out by parents or members of the Multidisciplinary Team; these should be monitored, evaluated and adjusted appropriately according to the needs of the child. Work collaboratively with families to maximise engagement in therapy sessions; support the management of and promote confidence, in meeting their child’s needs.
- Assess for and organise provision of necessary therapy equipment and/or orthotics. This may be loaned equipment for use at The Children’s Trust or recommendations for equipment for long-term use on return home.
- Teach, integrate and monitor physiotherapy interventions/ advice in the child’s environment, whether it is carried out by parents, therapy staff, nursing or care staff.
- Work closely with all members of the Multidisciplinary Team, as well as the child and family, to provide a fully integrated approach to the overall management of the child. This will include any home/school visits, professional child related meetings and/ or appointments, as required.
- Implement and monitor chest management and physiotherapy programmes.
- Liaise with external services and follow respiratory guidelines set by tertiary centers. Support the implementation of child specific respiratory physiotherapy management plans and monitor how well they are working. Escalate issues around respiratory concerns to specialist providers outside of the organisation that support respiratory management.
- Support the implementation of specific respiratory physiotherapy management plans, including: basic manual techniques, appropriate use of oxygen in ventilator support, demonstrating an awareness of inadequate ventilation and when to escalate care accordingly, ensuring awareness of how other components of the child’s care, impacts on their respiratory function.
- Use awareness of how other components of the child’s care may impact on their respiratory function.
- Use awareness of how a 24hr postural management programme impacts on the respiratory system, sleep pattern and the compliance to rehabilitation, in order to inform physiotherapy interventions and the multidisciplinary care and therapy plans.
- Support the delivery of 24hr rehabilitation, through the provision of advice/ information, education and modeling, to the Multidisciplinary Team, tailoring the provision of information to the needs of the child, their family and the staff concerned.
- Liaise with all appropriate medical staff, whether employed by The Children’s Trust, visiting consultants or at off-site clinics and attend clinics with the child, as and when required.
- Contribute to the assessment and discussion of new referrals to The Children’s Trust, carrying out off-site referral assessments around the United Kingdom, as required.
- Work collaboratively with professional colleagues in other services, to facilitate the admission and discharge process.

Amongst our other services, we run play and learning activities for children aged 0-16 from within 4 hostels in these boroughs, as well as a school holiday day trip programme. Our services for children aim to reduce the stress on children and parents of living in overcrowded, insecure accommodation, and to put back essential childhood experiences that homeless accommodation deprives children of.
The services we currently offer our families in hostels are:
- Kids Club: an after-school play club in term time for 0-16s, run from our dedicated play club in the basement of one family hostel in Camden.
- Enrichment Trips and Summer Programme: a series of day trips for groups of families from our 4 hostels in the school holidays. We take part in exciting activities and visit interesting destinations round London and the South-East, to ease the pressures of being stuck in the hostel during the long school breaks.
- Essentials Bank: Our Essentials bank runs weekly in term-time from two of our hostels, offering families free hygiene products such as toiletries, nappies, washing powder etc. to ease the pressure on family finances at a difficult time.
- Family Support Work and Housing Casework: we offer holistic casework to support families to ease the stress of their situation, from working on finances to supporting employment searches, to assisting with legal cases and supporting them to navigate their housing case and move out of homelessness as soon as possible.
We are currently looking for an experienced Play and Community Worker to join our dedicated frontline Family Services team, delivering this vital support to around 100 children and their families each year.

Oaklands & St Kilda's is made up of two newly refurbished six-bedroom homes, located close to each other in Ealing, West London. We work with up to 12 young people at a time, providing a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. Many of the young people joining us are moving on from hospital, stepping down from more intensive placements, or transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to Adult services.
Our team delivers 24-hour trauma-informed and psychologically informed support. You'll play a key role in helping each young person shape their own support and service experience. Everyone receives a bespoke welcome pack and is encouraged to personalise their living space, helping them feel at home from day one.
We place a strong emphasis on participation and co-production. About this key role
Our successful candidate will provide line management support, guidance and coaching to two administrators, ensuring their responsibilities are clear and that they are supported to carry out their roles, plus provide positive and proactive peer support to Admin and Coaches to ensure that data is collected reliably and consistently. You will maintain relationships with funded partners; undertake analysis of grants data, draft documents, reports, and communication materials; and provide ongoing support for our funding programmes and broader organisational work as needed. You will report to a Grants Manager (who leads day-to-day operational delivery of our grant programmes). The work will vary over the grants cycle, where one month could be focussed on supporting a grants round, and the next could be working with wider colleagues for an event to share insight and knowledge. This is both an administrative and project management role – we are looking for a candidate with both sets of skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to provide high quality evidence-based speech and language therapy, which promotes the participation, function and safe care of children and young people accessing The Children’s Trust.
Your aim is to deliver child and family focused goal led interventions supporting those with speech, language and communication needs and to those with dysphagia needs.
To support the service for those children and young people with tracheostomies, within the limits of skills and competencies.

Role Requirements
- Support the provision of high quality, evidence informed speech and language therapy assessments and interventions for children and young people attending The Children’s Trust, in partnership with other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Devise suitable, individual, plans that fit within the child’s daily routine, whether to be carried out by therapists, parents or members of the Multidisciplinary team; these should be monitored, evaluated and adjusted appropriately according to the needs of the child.
- Facilitate involvement of family and carers in the rehabilitation process, including day-to-day activities, and the handing over of practical skills and care.
- Be an autonomous practitioner with responsibility for assessment, treatment and planning for an allocated caseload of children/young people.
- Work closely with all members of the Multidisciplinary team, as well as the child and family, to provide a fully integrated approach to the overall management of the child. This will include any home/school visits, professional child related meetings and / or appointments, as required.
- Liaise with all appropriate medical staff, whether employed by The Children’s Trust, visiting consultants or at off-site clinics, and attend clinics with the child as required.
- Contribute to the assessment and discussion of new referrals to The Children’s Trust, carrying out on virtual and off-site referral assessments around the United Kingdom, as required.
- Contribute to child related reports, including looked after children and annual review reports as required, and assist with the collation of these as and when required, in a timely manner and in line with organisational targets.
- Utilise patient reported and standardised outcome measures for each allocated child/young person and complete in a timely manner.
- Assess, evaluate, and recommend discharge/transition plans for children/young people within the multidisciplinary team framework.
- Provide clinical cover across the service during episodes of staff shortage/heavy workload, in order to ensure effective service delivery.
- Work flexibly in terms of hours, in order to meet the needs of the service, including an early evening (maximum one per week) and weekend day (maximum one per month).
- Represent the Therapy Team and The Children’s Trust when appropriate, deputising for the Head of Therapy - Rehabilitation, as required.
- Actively participate in and support the running of relevant meetings.
- To undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.
