About the role

We are looking for someone in our London/Brussels/Berlin offices with strong charity sector experience to help drive practical change in compliance, tools, and systems. Join us on a fixed-term basis to lead process improvements and advise on funder compliance, supporting a growing and dynamic fundraising team. Part-time (3 days a week) or Full-time considered.

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Laura Mertsching. Laura joined ClientEarth in 2022 and is based in London. For 2.5 years, Laura has been focussed on improving our policies, processes and tools to improve funder compliance and efficiency, and working in collaboration especially with fundraisers, internal legal council and finance staff. At the beginning of 2025, Laura was seconded to lead a cross-departmental project to align internal systems, processes and tools, which is why she is hiring a support role at the moment to drive forward key initiatives of her original role. Laura is an experienced project manager with experience working in the humanitarian and international development sector for more than five years before joining ClientEarth.

Main Duties

• Contributing to the delivery of the global Fundraising Strategy through driving improvements of relevant policies, processes and tools along the entire funding management cycle ensuring effective and efficient internal operations
• Effectively plan and deliver priority initiatives (including policy revision, risk matrix tool development, streamlining corporate income processes) collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that relevant perspectives are incorporated and work with their line manager on effective prioritisation
• Enable effective decision-making across ClientEarth’s existing and continuously growing funding portfolio, and occasionally review new funding agreements and advise staff during the contracting process

• Experience working on funder compliance, or in a project management or fundraising role in a medium and/or large global non-profit organisations (essential)
• Considerable understanding of financial, reputational and legal risks and requirements e.g. when assessing funding opportunities, or when reviewing, negotiating or managing funding agreements (essential)
• Previous experience planning and implementing new processes, tools or ways of working, and working across different departments with staff with different professional expertise (desirable)
• Experience of working with a CRM database, ideally Raiser’s Edge (desirable)

The post will involve attending board meetings, taking and producing accurate minutes, and undertaking the accompanying administrative tasks including day-to-day banking and accounting. You will need to be able to keep well-ordered files & documents, be numerate and literate, with good typing skills, and it is essential you are fully competent using Word, Excel and Xero (or similar) accounting software.

In-person board meetings, usually six per year, take place at the Parish Hall in Hartlebury in alternate months; they are usually held from 5.30 – 7.30 p.m. Much of the working time for the role will be home-based and there is liable to be a need to store some administrative papers & documents securely in your home. There is also likely to be some written and/or phone contact with schools and individuals who make applications to the charity. You will co-ordinate liaison with the Foundation’s existing property, rent-collection and legal consultants.

The Foundation is in an important period of development, expanding its profile and its grant-making process, upgrading its online presence and moving to internet banking. The clerk’s role will be an exciting part of all these.

Working closely with the prison and their staff, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising peer opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

This role will be prison based. Role in Context

Jigsaw4u’s Carers Peer Support Service supports adult carers in the London Borough of Merton through emotional support and access to information, opportunities and practical advice.

Working alongside other VCSE peer support providers in the Borough, other carer organisations or providers of statutory carers work, the post holder will work on improving pathways and coordinating services for adult carers experiencing mental health issues, often as a direct result of caring.  The post holder should have lived experience of being a carer, or of mental health challenges experienced by themselves or a close friend or family member

1. Purpose of the job

Be responsible in the designated area for:

• Delivery of one-to-one and group peer support sessions designed for and by adult carers
• Collecting data and reporting on direct work delivered with adult carers

Casework & Training Lead Officer

We are not primarily a campaigning organisation; rather, we believe we can make the greatest difference through frontline work, including via our extensive network of casework teams working on a variety of projects.

We’re seeking a Lead Officer to play a central role in the busy Amicus team, with the position’s focus being on casework and on training.  The role offers a great deal of variety: coordinating our busy casework programme of projects, including supporting caseworkers and teams; and leading in the delivery of training and educational events, especially those aimed at our casework teams.

You will be part of a small team, which means we all pitch in to help each other when necessary. Workload will be demanding at times, an ability to work across multiple tasks and to prioritise will be essential.  Given the critical and highly sensitive nature of our work, attention to detail, meeting deadlines and quality of work all are a high priority.  You will be interacting with law firms and volunteers all around the world, making communication skills essential for the role.

This is a hybrid role; there will be a requirement to be in our central London office, generally Thursday and Fridays, as well as for casework briefings at law firms as required within the working day, alongside some remote working. Office hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm with an hour lunch break. We run two major training events each year that would require weekend working. We would consider part-time/job-share working for the right person/people.

Support of busy casework programme:

• Working closely with the Casework & Training Senior Manager, other staff and volunteers
• Coordinating with US defence teams, and with the academics involved in many of our projects

What you'll do:

Payroll

Be responsible for the day to day delivery and coordination of the administration of the Payroll function, ensuring a timely and accurate payroll service is delivered to Look Ahead's employees, workers and Board members, to agreed deadlines
Produce and review any monthly exception reports to identify and rectify any payroll errors arising
Work with the HR Admin and Payroll Manager, Director of People and Director of Finance to ensure that payroll data processing reviews are rigorously and independently checked, validated and signed off

Acting as the first point of contact for all HR Admin related queries, via phone and email; responding promptly, whilst managing expectations effectively
Ensure letters for contractual changes for staff are sent out in a timely and accurate way and all relevant systems updated
Respond to straightforward policy and process queries, providing appropriate advice and guidance in line with Look Ahead policy, ensure that urgent items are prioritised and that any issues are highlighted and resolved as quickly as possible; escalate to the Admin Manager or an HR Business Partner as appropriate

Accountable to the Senior Fundraiser and Head of Fundraising to drive fundraising activities and support children and adult social care services, you will contribute to the growth of the organisation by delivering the aims set out in the Together Trust’s strategic plan, fundraising strategy and budgeting process including monitoring income and expenditure for key events and activities. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage online retail platforms like Vinted, Depop, eBay, and Shopify, organise pop-up shops, and grow merchandise sales.
• Be an ambassador for our cause, manage volunteers and work experience students ensuring a mutually beneficial volunteering experience with our online shops. 
• Manage personal target related to certain key performance indicators.
• Monitor and report on progress against financial targets and KPIs to an agreed timescale.
• Act as an effective ambassador for the Together Trust at meetings and events, including making presentations or speeches of thanks in accordance with brand guidelines.
• Liaise with the communications team to develop engaging web, digital and print materials to facilitate corporate supporter acquisition and retention in line with brand guidelines.
• Support colleagues with their income streams – this could include, corporate partnerships, events, community fundraising, etc. where needed.

About you:

We are looking for someone who has;

• An undergraduate degree in a related field or NVQ Level 3 or 4 in a related field. 
• Proven experience of achieving financial targets with a fundraising or sales environment.
• Experience in public speaking and delivering presentations.
• Experience of managing and developing effective use of data bases and/or donor management systems.
• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and targets, set and work to budgets and to use own initiative.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft packages, databases, digital channels, Canva.
• Knowledge of how to motivate and retain volunteers and supporters.
• Knowledge of how to manage donors and funders effectively.
• Up to date knowledge of fundraising techniques and legislation e.g. charity law, taxation, health & safety, GDPR.
• Passionate about digital retail and sustainability.

Support Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join a Stroke Recovery Service based in East Kent.

Position: S11278 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home based, Thanet, East Kent, however, regular travel will be required as part of this role within the service area (may include other travel in London and nationally to include team meetings or other work-related meetings). 

Salary: circa £16,461 per annum

Hours: 21 hours per week

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

The Person

You’ll have a track record in fundraising or relationship management in the not for profit, cultural or other relevant sectors, in particular with trusts and foundations. Job Description

Catch22 is looking for a compassionate leader to join our growing Greater Manchester Victim Services as Deputy Head of Service. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring the effective delivery of support for victims and witnesses as you help them on their journey to recovery.

Reporting to the Head of Service, you’ll provide line management to team leaders and administrators, implement systems for quality service delivery, and manage recruitment, training and supervision. You’ll work closely with police and other criminal justice partners to maintain strong referral pathways and ensure our services remain seamless and effective in its support for those that have experienced crime in the Greater Manchester area.

You will also contribute to strategic service development, quality assurance, safeguarding, and continuous improvement across the team. Your leadership will drive a culture of collaboration, learning and excellence.

Qualifications

The ideal post-holder will have:

A strong educational background, including English and Maths at GCSE level.

Proven experience managing and supporting teams in high-impact environments.

A track record of working with vulnerable individuals in multi-agency settings.

Confidence in performance management, risk assessment, and safeguarding practices.

Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills.

A recognised management qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Knowledge of the victim and witness support system and a good understanding of the criminal justice landscape are highly desirable.
