ROLE PURPOSE:

This dynamic role presents a unique opportunity to build upon the procurement progress achieved so far and to help establish robust procurement foundations across the organisation, following the implementation of a new ERP system. Some key projects for this role over the next 12 months will be:

• Contribute to the development, testing, training, and successful deployment of the new ERP Procurement App.
• Lead the ongoing implementation of the Procurement Policy, collaborating with the Internal Auditor to strengthen compliance across the Supply Chain Team and the wider organisation.
• Support the Indirect Spend strategy and lead the development of a new five-year strategic plan to guide future category management.
• Design, implement, and monitor Procurement KPIs to drive performance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure GDPR compliance is maintained across all Supply Chain activities and processes.

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the Procurement Team, champion strategic procurement initiatives, and ensure compliance with organisational policies. The Procurement Manager is responsible for driving intelligent procurement decisions, delivering the procurement strategy, and upholding the highest standards of ethical and sustainable purchasing. This role is focused on achieving optimal value for money across all indirect spend activities. As the leader of the Procurement Team, the Procurement Manager also provides mentoring and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The role is incredibly varied and reflects the activities of ShelterBox across all indirect buying categories. The successful Procurement Manager will be strategic, decisive and collaborative with an eye for opportunity and influence. They will be a supportive and visible leader within ShelterBox, whilst mentoring the Procurement Team to deliver excellent results and reach personal goals.

You will need to be outcome-focused, have previous experience gained in creating framework agreement / supplier lists, leading end-to-end procurement processes, previous leadership experience and competent with driving value. A strong understanding on how to constructively engage with stakeholders is vital in creating long-term foundations with the senior leadership and suppliers. Some travel within the UK may be required.

DAY TO DAY THIS ROLE WILL LOOK LIKE:

• Ensuring Value for Money by maximising value from business cases and sourcing activities by reducing costs, enhancing quality, managing risk, and increasing return on investment (ROI).
• Champion procurement best practices, driving positive change through effective processes and governance.
• Mentor and support the Procurement Team, fostering professional growth and capability development.
• Manage team workloads and prioritise assignments to ensure efficient delivery of objectives.
• Oversee contract and supplier management, ensuring strong relationships and performance.
• Engage and manage stakeholders across the organisation to align procurement with business needs.
• Lead and support contract negotiations and manage spend to secure optimal terms and value.
• Design and implement sourcing strategies across key categories including IT, HR, Fundraising, and Communications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define, establish, and manage supplier lists, framework agreements, and standard contractual terms.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with the Procurement Policy, working closely with the Supply Chain Team and Internal Auditor.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement policies and processes through proactive stakeholder engagement.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• Responsible for all indirect procurement activities across the organisation;
• Senior decision maker for indirect procurement activity, working closely with the Head of Supply Chain;
• Subject Matter Expert for indirect and direct procurement, acting in a consultative capacity across the organisation as required;
• Manage, coach and develop the Procurement Team to meet personal and organisational objectives, deliver best results and support the team's wellbeing;
• Lead the creation, adherence and implementation of best practice procurement processes and procedures to support continuous improvement and optimisation including policies;
• Lead, build and implement Indirect Procurement Strategy 2025+;
• Responsible for identifying and managing relevant procurement risks within the organisation, working closely with the senior colleagues;
• Review and revise Procurement Policy/ies and Manual;

• Regularly review and maintain appropriate procurement processes for the different buying categories ensuring compliance with ShelterBox's processes;

• Lead negotiation of rates and contracts with suppliers across the organisation;
• Report on cost savings and avoidance, and risk management;
• Lead on indirect supplier contract management across the organisations;
• Responsible for identifying procurement improvement priorities by analysing forecast spend, supply markets and specification options;
• Lead procurement projects such as procedure implementation, sustainability and software introduction;
• Procurement training, upskilling and development across the organisation;
• Work with different departments in the organisation to ensure compliance with the Procurement Policy/ies, reporting on non-compliance;
• Drive ethical and sustainable procurement practice across all buying activity;
• Provide support to organisational projects as required;
• Ensure procurement administration is kept up to date and appropriate;
• Maintain confidentiality for all internal matters, and commercial confidentiality for matters pertaining to suppliers;
• Represent ShelterBox as required;

Other responsibilities

• Any other duties as required which are deemed appropriate to the level and grade of the post.

You’ll spend your time:

• Supporting the Communications & External Affairs Team by organising meetings, assisting with event planning, updating stakeholder databases and coordinating social media content with the Media & Public Affairs Manager
• Providing administrative assistance to the Director of Communications & External Affairs, including diary management and travel arrangements.
• Supporting the Operations Team with a range of administrative tasks including processing invoices, supporting recruitment and onboarding, maintaining IT archives and contributing to larger team projects as needed.

Working pattern

This is a hybrid full-time role (typically 2 days on-site), 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday based in SW London with occasional travel to another office (around once a month).  The other office is about 20  minutes from Clapham or London Bridge.

Flexible working hours are available but please note that you would need to ensure you are on-site on time for any meetings.

The successful candidate will support the development and delivery of innovative pilots, including projects that explore how AI and technology can equip children and youth with the competencies, digital fluency, and adaptive skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world. You will manage local partnerships, steer experimentation, and ensure robust learning cycles that contribute to Theirworld’s pilot-to-scale strategy.

This role is ideal for someone who seeks greater depth of knowledge, impact-driven, and excited to shape how emerging technologies can accelerate educational equity in low-resource settings.

This role is for maternity cover but with the possibility of extension.

Main Responsibilities

Project Management

• Manage a diverse portfolio of education projects across Theirworld’s three pillars – Best Start in Life, A Safe Place to Learn, and Skills for the Future, with an emphasis on those leveraging AI and emerging technologies.

• Oversee programme planning, budgeting, delivery, reporting and learning for projects, ensuring milestones are met, partners are supported, and learnings are captured.

• Lead on the implementation of projects that apply digital or AI driven solutions to improve learning outcomes, particularly within the Skills for the Future pillar.

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager will play a central role in growing high-value income streams and building meaningful relationships with individuals, corporates, and grant-making bodies. Managing a small team and working closely with senior leaders and NHS stakeholders, you will develop and drive forward an ambitious programme of philanthropic fundraising to support the work of Sheffield Hospitals Charity. Job description

CSE is seeking to appoint a confident and adaptable Project Manager (Maternity Cover) with the experience and initiative to lead and deliver a varied portfolio of community-based energy and climate projects.

This role will likely initially focus on coordinating our work on the Energy Learning Network and supporting the networking of local community organisations that provide vital energy advice.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who is confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and has proven experience managing multi-partner or community-based projects. They will understand and seek to champion the value of community-led approaches to energy and climate action.

Pay and conditions

• The role is full-time 1-year fixed contract (37.5 hours per week).
• The salary for the role will be £36,075.
• You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

- Consistently and effectively manage projects across a range of initiatives within the LACE team with responsibility for planning, promotion, budgeting, ongoing financial management, funder liaison, reporting, monitoring and evaluation.

- Manage finance and resources for project work such as events, training, analysis, grant schemes, stakeholder engagement, community climate action, youth work and work supporting local authorities.

- Line management of up to 1-2 junior members of the LACE team.

- Contribute to team wellbeing by supporting co-workers in their tasks and proactively addressing issues relating to your projects or direct reports. Communicate project outputs effectively to team members, CSE staff and eternal stakeholders.

- Oversee promotion and marketing of projects and outputs to ensure effective engagement with the target audience (in conjunction with Communications team).

- Regularly represent CSE at external events (e.g. webinars, meetings, conferences), presenting to a Centre for Sustainable Energy 2024 high standard and sharing outputs and insights from projects you manage and work on.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with funders and stakeholders, potentially including existing funders and strategic partners, community groups, local authorities, voluntary sector associations, housing associations, youth groups.

- Provide expertise and experience necessary to deliver projects well and contribute to the upskilling of CSE staff and the capacity building of external stakeholders. In this role that could include models and approaches for viable community led sustainability initiatives, community renewables, sustainability initiatives, community engagement, community resilience, or energy efficiency.

The Choir with No Name London – Choir Manager
Part time (20 hours per week)

About us:

The Choir with No Name runs choirs and builds joyful singing communities with people impacted by homelessness and marginalisation, around the UK. We currently have choirs in Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Brighton, Coventry, Cardiff and Sheffield.

We were founded on the premise that singing makes you feel good - it helps you to build confidence, skills and genuine, long-lasting friendships. Our choir members are people who have experienced homelessness, or who are going through a tough time in their lives. Our choirs are a supportive, safe space for people to be among friends, where they can experience the joy of singing together, have fun, build confidence and skills, and feel more able to tackle life's other challenges, such as securing housing or finding work.

What we do is simple: our choirs meet once a week for a cuppa and a catch up, we then sing our hearts out for an hour and a half and sit down together afterwards for a hot meal cooked by volunteers.

We perform regularly at a whole load of different places, including local homeless hostels, community festivals and world-class venues, such as the Cadogan Hall and Brighton Dome. Gigs are a highlight for everyone at the Choir with No Name, offering members something to work towards together and feel proud of, showcasing their many talents to the world. The thrill of performing in front of appreciative audiences in inspirational venues can instil a sense of purpose and self-worth that may have been lost along the way.

We also deliver community projects for people at risk of homelessness, or who are experiencing related issues (such as mental health challenges, drug and alcohol addiction, refugees and asylum seekers) in each of the cities where we work, motivated by a desire to share the joy of singing with as many people experiencing isolation and marginalisation as possible, and hopefully recruit a few more choir members along the way!

About the role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative manager for our London choir involving people impacted by homelessness. You’ll be part of a supportive team at CWNN and will work closely with our choir director to deliver fun, inclusive, welcoming rehearsals and gigs throughout the year.

This is an exciting and varied role working with our choir members and volunteers to support the safe running of weekly rehearsals, as well as delivering regular gigs and outreach workshops across London (and beyond!).  You will need to be available to attend Monday night rehearsals in Stoke Newington London and have an understanding of working with people who have experienced complex trauma. We are looking for someone with impeccable organisational skills and the ability to multitask, as well the ability to take a creative approach to delivering inclusive group activities. Experience in volunteer and project/event management is desirable, as is a love of music and an understanding of the positive impact of singing together.

The Donor Engagement Manager is responsible for communicating IFAW’s vision, strategy, and impact to inspire significant philanthropic commitments for IFAW's work from high-net-worth individuals and family foundations. By spearheading best-in-class donor communications, engagement, and stewardship, this role serves an essential function: developing and building IFAW’s reputation to position IFAW as a top charity worthy of significant donations. The Donor Engagement Manager plays a key role in improving the HNW donor journey and achieving our fundraising goals for enhanced programmatic impact globally in conservation, rescue, and policy.

Role and Responsibilities

The Donor Engagement Manager is an integral component of IFAW’s global Development team. Reporting to the Deputy Vice President, Development, the Donor Engagement Manager leads a robust donor communications, engagement, and stewardship program for high-net-worth (HNW) individuals, spearheading the development of strategy and plans, and supervising a team of contractors and freelancers for project implementation. The successful candidate will contribute to the attainment of ambitious growth goals (including current use, endowments, and significant gifts in will), by inspiring donors’ philanthropic support and leading the creation and implementation of a suite of donor communications and experiences.

Critical responsibilities include:

Create dynamic donor engagement plan

· Spearhead donor engagement plans, including cultivation, stewardship experiences, and recognition

· Drive a robust calendar of communications and activities to optimize donor engagement, mission impact, and a best-in class donor experience with IFAW

· Advise and support frontline fundraisers with strategy and content for donor communications and proposals; collaborate with gift officers on HNW individual donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts, including development of custom proposals and cases for support

· Collaborate with communications and program teams to create compelling donor impact reports, donor newsletters, webinars, bespoke proposals, and other tools that drive and support effective engagement, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major- and principal-level gifts as well as larger legacy commitments; maintain curated library of assets for gift officers to use or customize

· Gather and share impact stories, data, and testimonials to demonstrate the value of donor contributions

· Plan and oversee execution of exclusive engagement opportunities (in-person and virtual) for target audience, designed to highlight IFAW programmatic expertise and build stronger donor relationships

· Develop and implement personalized stewardship plans for select principal and major donors, working closely with frontline fundraisers and relationship managers

· Ensure all donor touchpoints reflect the organization’s mission and values, and that donors feel valued and connected

Manage projects and personnel

· Lead, coach, and manage a team of freelancers responsible for communications, stewardship, and engagement activities; oversee contracts, monitor deliverables and expenditures

· Maintain strong relationships with program leaders across the global organization, keeping apprised of IFAW’s programmatic work to identify topics that will appeal to high-net-worth donors and prospects

· Analyze donor engagement metrics, track trends, and report on the effectiveness of engagement and stewardship strategies.

Collaboration and fundamentals  

· Ensure routine fundraising communications and templates for major gifts are up-to-date, accurate, and on brand (e.g., fundraising appeals, donor education emails, gift acknowledgments, holiday cards, swag)

· Manage creation and updates of bespoke proposals so that they are timely and well-designed

· Improve integration of mail / email outreach

· Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to optimize use and creative repurposing of resources and collateral materials

· Enhance web presence (philanthropy pages) to incorporate donor testimonials and demonstrate impact of philanthropic support

· Update and improve naming opportunities for major and principal gifts, named and endowed funds, larger legacies and blended gifts from HNW individuals

Strategic guidance and innovation

· Collaborate with DVP Development to recommend and implement effective points of contact with donors for the purposes of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of six-figure+ gifts

· Identify opportunities to present our work more effectively and enhance the donor experience

· Launch or relaunch giving societies – e.g., cumulative lifetime giving, high-end annual giving, legacy society – with an emphasis on philanthropy and engagement rather than perks and benefits

· Advise on ways to streamline and improve donor communications and engagement, e.g., by leveraging technology, balancing push / pull outreach, adjusting the mix of print / digital and other media  

· Guide the larger Development team in positioning our programs to inspire greater philanthropic support

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Minimum 4-5 years of related experience in nonprofit stewardship, donor communications, fundraising, or related transferable experience

· Experience leading a team in a development setting, including direct supervision of colleagues in donor engagement and stewardship; and/or management of a stable of contractors and freelancers

· Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment and lead numerous functions and various projects simultaneously

· Exceptional written communication, relationship-building, project management and collaboration skills

· Intellectual curiosity

· Must be professional, highly organized, creative, efficient, and collaborative.

· Cultural competence: ability to work seamlessly with colleagues across four continents.

· Able to work successfully both individually and as part of a team.

Main Purpose of Job

• To be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of our advice services via telephone, email/web, in person and at outreach venues.

• To line manage team leads, debt caseworkers and the energy adviser and support them in achieving high standards of accessible advice services.

• To oversee the use of our volunteer adviser resources to cover each of our advice channels in the most effective way.

• To liaise with the training lead to ensure we have sufficient, well trained volunteer advice resources to deliver our service.

• Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities.

• Use appropriate resources to find, interpret and communicate the relevant information to clients.

• Research and explore options and implications so that clients can make informed decisions.

• Act for the client where necessary by calculating, negotiating, drafting or writing letters and telephoning.

• Negotiate with third parties such as statutory and non-statutory bodies as appropriate.

• Ensure that all work conforms to the organisation’s office manual and the Advice Quality standard / other funding requirements, as appropriate.

As the Operations Assistant you will be supporting the Operations Manager in

Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
 Act as the first point of contact for premises, facilities, IT and Estates
issues across all Weston Park Cancer Charity locations.
 Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining a secure and organised
premises and facilities, which ensure colleagues, volunteers and visitors
are safe and experience a welcoming environment.
 Support the Operations Manager in the successful delivery of the Annual
Operations plan.
 Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and take
minutes in operations-related working groups.
 Support with updating operational policies and procedures.
 Act as a Charity Data Protection Officer (DPO), alongside the Operations
Manager - following relevant training, to promote a strong GDPR culture.
 Assist in the coordination of charity vehicle fleet maintenance schedules
and provide breakdown response support.
 Assist in the control and coordination of the use of charity space and
assets, including liaising with contractors and Sheffield Teaching
Hospitals (STH) on relevant matters as required.
 Act as a designated keyholder, responsible for the opening and closing
procedure.
 Manage the operations shared email inbox.

Health & Safety
 Serve as the first point of contact for all Health & Safety matters,
including incidents and accidents, ensuring accurate recording and
reporting.
 Provide operational and administrative support on all Health & Safety
matters at our sites and external locations (including external events and
the Outreach Service, updating COSHH reports).
 Assist in the procurement, delivery and recording of mandatory staff
training needs.
 Help establish and maintain safe working practices and policies and
undertake basic risk assessments.

Workwear and equipment
 Act as the first point of contact for workwear and equipment requests;
including being responsible for issuing and returning stock, regular stock
checks and ordering stock as required.

Tech Support
 Serve as the first point of contact for general IT enquiries.
 Consult with IT consultants to ensure adherence to processes.
 Work with the Operations Manager to implement processes that
maintain the IT security score.
 Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including
software licenses, logins, and induction training.
 Serve as lead administrator for key operational software, such as Webex
phone system and Vatix Lone Worker App.

General Administrative Support & Development
 Handle general enquiries from staff, patients, and volunteers efficiently.
 Manage charity postal enquiries.
 Assist the Operations Manager with the procurement of stationery and
consumables.
 Assist the wider team with ad hoc work and undertake small projects
that support the charity's work. e.g. Events, Logistical and Tech Support.

Environmental Advocate
 Work with the Operations Manager to promote environmental
awareness and encourage the charity adopts a green approach (e.g.,
recycling, energy use, carbon footprint).
 Identify and implement actions to reduce environmental impacts, costs,
and/or increase income under the direction of the Operations Manager.

Job Description

• To recruit, manage, motivate, coach and develop a staff team including carrying out annual appraisals and regular supervision meetings.  To manage their health, safety and wellbeing.
• To promote and embed Catch22’s vision and values in local service delivery
• To ensure all service user information, interventions and other data as required by the contract are recorded on the relevant data management system in line with Catch22’s policy. 
• Weekly review of service data to identify any risks to service delivery, and outcome performance and put in place corrective actions.
• To be the designated safeguarding lead in the service, ensure that all safeguarding processes are followed and to be Catch22’s representative on local safeguarding boards where appropriate.
• To manage operational risk, health and safety, governance and safeguarding issues in line with Catch22 and Commissioner policies.
• Carry out regular case file audits as per the Audit Policy and Procedure and implement any service improvement or process change as a result of audit outcomes.
• To monitor referrals to the service ensuring they are in line with the volumes and eligibility criteria for the service; manage engagement with key stakeholders to promote the service and generate appropriate referrals to ensure the service / funding reaches the most appropriate young people.
• Be responsible for the allocation of referrals and ensure caseload management structures are in place including specialist female and mental health caseloads to maximise impact for young people.
• To ensure that the diverse needs and aspirations of all groups of service users are considered in service delivery and to enable all service users to fulfil their potential.
• To carry out such other relevant duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the nature and level of this post.
• When necessary, hold a small case load of high-risk clients ensuring appropriate support is given to young people according to their need who are referred by means of effective assessment and support planning.
