Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is focused on generating and developing monthly management accounts information and providing insight and direction to the Director General and Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the ‘Head of Finance and Organisation Development’, the Management Accountant will play a key role across the business in improving data capture and managing reporting across the team. This role will be on a part time basis of 2 days a week.
This role will suit someone who is looking to join a small, dynamic and growing organisation to run the management reporting process and provide timely and accurate financial management information. Systems experience with ‘Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central’ accounting package would be an added advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Preparing monthly management accounts, including comparatives to budgets, trends and forecasts
· Compiling Balance sheet reconciliations
· Preparing quarterly Project ‘Income and Expenditure’ reports for Project Managers
· Preparing interim/final financial Project reports for submission to Funders
· Preparing quarterly VAT returns

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a full time Outreach Key worker to join our team. This is an opportunity to help change the lives of Dacorum’s rough sleepers, and to support them move from rough sleeping to independence.
As an outreach worker, you will work as part of DENS services to provide a high quality, efficient and effective service to clients who experience rough sleeping and who often find it difficult to access services. Working alongside DENS services such as The Elms hostel and day centre, you will identify clients and then work to build meaningful rapport and assist them to gain access to the relevant services to increase their quality of life and ultimately enter accommodation-based services. You will need to support clients presenting issues such as substance misuse, physical or mental health you will work to create and implement specific plans to address any identified need.
This role involves working early mornings and late evenings while investigating rough sleeping across Dacorum. A full, current driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience of dealing directly with the public and/or clients in a busy environment, and with rough sleepers with multiple needs. You must have the ability to work with challenging behaviour, and have great communication skills. You should also have some understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people and the difficulties they experience in accessing services.

We are looking for a Community Events Manager to deliver and portfolio of digital and physical fundraising and engagement events.
This is a Hybrid role with ideally 2 days a week in the Buckinghamshire office.

The Role
Identify, develop, plan and execute a calendar of virtual and physical community fundraising and engagement events and activities, for exmaple, a local Christmas Market, identifying third-party fundraising initiatives and virtual challenges, or leading on the identification and/or development of national events.
Oversee logistics, which may include venue booking, supplier sourcing/coordination, risk assessments and event-day management. Ensuring all events and activities comply with health and safety regulations, risk management policies and GDPR guidelines.
Build your virtual events community through effective use of social platforms/activities, which your Marcoms colleagues will support you to identify and deliver.
Develop and implement stewardship plans to encourage repeat participation and wider engagement in the charity.
Support participants in their fundraising efforts, providing fundraising specific guidance and resource.
Work with the Marcoms team to develop and deliver promotional materials, social media campaigns, and PR opportunities.
Manage events and budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and maximum ROI.
You will manage an administrator and be supported by a strong team of fundraisers, a marketing department set up to support the development of community activity.
The Candidate
Experience in event management, ideally within the charity or community sector.
Strong fundraising knowledge and experience in income generating events and techniques both physical and through digital channels.
Budget management experience and ability to work within financial targets.
Strong project management and organisational skills.

Job Purpose:
Volunteering Matters are partnering with Active Suffolk to recruit 6 Community Connectors to work in the following areas of Ipswich:

The ideal candidates will have strong local knowledge of the area and preferably, live within the community they are assigned to. In this role, you will have conversations with local residents (aged 18+) to capture lived experience around barriers, motivations, perceptions of being physically active in the local community. You must be a confident communicator and able to work off your own initiative.
The information collected will be shared with project partners and local stakeholders to guide further learning and community development, with the goal of securing future funding for further investment in these areas.
Responsibilities

Identify, plan and create opportunities to have conversations with local residents around being physically active in the local community

Identify community needs – gather information from local residents on what they value the most, the challenges they face, and what services or initiatives could benefit them. This could be done through informal conversations, community meetings, surveys

Share ideas with the local community and project partners/ stakeholders

Signpost to information and support for residents wanting to get more involved with their local community

Build relationships and networks locally to promote and create opportunities for conversations.

Conduct conversations safely and effectively in a range of settings (eg cafes, outside local schools, community events etc) to reach a diverse range of local residents

Participate in regular team meetings to support learning, problem solving and collaboration

Work within agreed budgets and utilise community resources and venues to undertake conversations

Skills & Experience:

Strong connections with and experience of the Whitton, Gainsborough and Belstead Hills areas of the town. Preference would be from applicants living in these areas.
