About the Role
The Head of Rough Sleeping Services will lead our services in our centre based at 12 Adelaide Street. The core purpose of these services is to minimise the harm associated with rough sleeping and support people into treatment and accommodation options. This will include Centre Services, our Community, Street Engagement and case work teams. You will also lead the delivery of any short-term emergency accommodation including SWEP and hotel provision.
This opportunity comes at a particularly exciting time as the Connection looks to ambitiously develop our work at Adeliade Street into a hub of harm reduction and health inclusion for people rough sleeping in Westminster. As the Head of Rough Sleeping Services, you will lead the exciting strategic and operational work to deliver this, and have the chance to be part of a centre that aims to be a nationally recognised example of innovative practice.
The role requires someone with a strong track record in service delivery with people who have complex needs. They must have experience of trauma informed care and similar associated practice. Alongside ensuring high quality service delivery, they must have experience of developing new approaches, building relationships with statutory services and working with fundraising specialists to secure resources. The Head of Rough Sleeping Services will be a well organised and focused manager who uses coaching techniques to develop their team. Finally, they must be a positive role model with the personal credibility to build confidence in the charity both internally and externally.
Salary: £51,939

About the Role
- You will ensure the smooth running of all Board meetings and activities, through administrative support to the Board of Trustees and Corporate Services team. This will include attendance at all quarterly board meetings and some subcommittee meetings.
- As well as ensuring practical arrangements are in place for the meetings, you will work closely with the board of trustees and relevant managers, to ensure that actions are completed to ensure the board is running at maximum effectivity.
- You will also be responsible for ensuring legal compliance with our governance systems, and maintaining CSTM’s policy audit.
- You will have excellent organisational and administrative skills, as well as being comfortable working with trustees and supporting and liaising with employees of all levels. Previous governance experience is desirable, but we are looking for the right candidate so training will be provided. You will have experience in providing administrative support with excellent IT, interpersonal, minute taking and organisational skills.
- This role is 4 days per week (28 hours). There is a requirement to attend all quarterly board meetings in person. Board meetings and subcommittee meetings are usually held outside of usual working hours. Time off in Lieu (TOIL) will be given for any meetings attended scheduled outside of your usual working hours.

Specialist Support Worker (Female Only Supported Housing)

About the Role
- Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accommodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage. The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
- In this role, you will provide direct support to all the women, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork.
- You will work closely with support workers and the in-house psychologist. You will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.
- The post holder will undertake 8-hour shifts covering the hours 8am – 8pm, this will include some weekend work. Please be aware that the building has several floors and no lifts.
- The post is open to female applicants only as the role is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
