NACCOM is recruiting a new permanent External Affairs Manager to lead the work of our small but highly impactful External Affairs team.

About the role: 

NACCOM is a national network of over 135 frontline organisations and charities across the UK, working together to end destitution amongst people seeking asylum, refugees and other migrants who aren’t able to access public funds because of their immigration status.

We do this by campaigning collectively for a fairer, more humane immigration system that doesn’t leave people destitute, and by sharing our learning, innovation, and resources across our membership to increase the level of accommodation provision and support the network is able to provide.

As our External Affairs Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of a high-performing, fully remote team, ensuring that migrant homelessness and destitution is high on the agenda. You will lead and mentor a talented External Affairs team, amplifying NACCOM’s voice as the UK’s expert voice on how the asylum and immigration system drives homelessness and destitution. 

With our 20th-anniversary milestone and a bold new organisational strategy on the horizon, you’ll seize fresh opportunities to deepen our influence. Working hand-in-hand with frontline members, people with lived experience, and high-profile partners, you will deliver sharp, evidence-led campaigns and projects that put migrant homelessness at the top of policy and media agendas. 

A strong aptitude for communications and campaigns, and an understanding of how that works alongside policy and research to underpin the external affairs function, is vital.

Hours: Full-Time (35 hours) or Part-Time (28 hours) per week 

Salary: Starting salary £43,000 annual FTE (plus £4,000 London Weighting if applicable)

Job purpose:

The External Affairs Manager will work closely with the Director and provide vital support to NACCOM and its members by: 

• Ensuring the strategic planning, management and alignment of communications, policy, research, campaigns, and advocacy as part of the External Affairs function at NACCOM. 

• Ensuring NACCOM’s external affairs functions feed from and into our network development work and our Community Ambassador / Research programme 

• Growing and safeguarding NACCOM’s brand identity, integrity and strategic positioning across all our external channels, networks and audiences. 

• Line-managing and supporting the Policy and Research Co-ordinator, Community Research Facilitator and part-time Communications Co-ordinator (currently covered by a freelancer) as well as managing any external consultants NACCOM works with across the External Affairs function. 

• Along with the Director, acting as spokesperson for NACCOM.

• Overseeing the spend against budget for External Affairs-related work. 

• Representing NACCOM at key, high-level meetings and coalitions, including with journalists, decision-makers and partners. 

• Actively supporting a culture of collaboration, support and mutual respect at NACCOM and across the membership network.

Speaking and listening skills underpin our success in school, work and throughout our lives. About this opportunity

As Voice 21 embarks on its ambitious next five-year strategy, we are looking to strengthen our team with a talented and ambitious Fundraising Manager. Your role will support the Head of Fundraising, CEO and wider team to develop new sources of high value support for Voice 21, working flexibly across trusts and foundations, corporate and philanthropic fundraising.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a knack for identifying funding opportunities and discovering new prospects. With excellent research, communication and relationship-building skills, you’ll work collaboratively with senior colleagues to strengthen our pipeline and drive long term growth in voluntary income. You’ll also contribute your ideas and initiative to develop and deliver compelling engagement opportunities for current and potential supporters, and lead on reporting impact to funders. Ultimately the post-holder is expected to grow in this role, to manage their own portfolio of high value donors. 

You’ll be joining the fundraising team at an exciting time as we look to build out the function in the coming years. The Head of Fundraising has been in post just over a year, and has put solid foundations in place to support long term growth. With a healthy pipeline already developed for the current and next financial year, you’ll have plenty of lead time to find your feet, with a realistic (shared) fundraising target of securing c.£500K of new voluntary income in 2027. There is significant untapped potential in fundraising for Voice 21. This is a great opportunity for an adaptable, proactive fundraiser to make their mark, gaining experience and developing expertise across high value streams. 

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop a qualified pipeline of trust/foundation and corporate prospects to ensure we achieve voluntary income targets in 2027/28 and beyond. 

• Draft winning funding bids and support the Head of Fundraising and/or CEO to develop compelling proposals and/or pitches. 

• Support and manage the CEO to lead relationships with funders and prospects.

• Lead on managing the funder reporting cycle and ensuring we deliver on our funding agreements, producing timely and inspiring impact reports.

• Drive awareness and understanding of fundraising internally by making connections with colleagues across the organisation and working collaboratively to support achieving fundraising goals. 

• Maintain the quality of data in the fundraising team CRM (Salesforce), managing contacts and pipelines through the database and producing accessible reports on fundraising performance and forecasts. 

Essential knowledge and skills

• Previous high value fundraising experience (trusts and foundations, corporates or philanthropy), with a track record of successfully securing significant donations and achieving income targets.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain a varied workload, deliver to deadlines, and successfully manage multiple work streams and projects.

• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the confidence and evidenced ability to be able to nurture and maintain successful relationships with high value external stakeholders and senior colleagues. 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to translate complex projects and/or ideas into accessible and persuasive narratives that inspire and motivate. 

• The instincts and initiative to spot and seize fundraising opportunities; with the resilience, flexibility and tenacity to guide long term fundraising activities through to successful outcomes. 

• Passionate about reducing educational inequalities and transforming learning and life chances for young people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role. Regular travel to our central London office (by Victoria station) is expected for meetings. Regular travel to visit our projects in schools and/or to meet funders will also be expected. Occasional overnight stays may be required too. Voice 21 pays travel and accommodation expenses. The package of salary and expenses will be considered when agreeing a starting salary with the successful candidate. 

Contract: Permanent, subject to successful probation review after three months.

We're hiring a Support Coach to join our Independent Approved Premises, commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) which works with high risk offenders who have left prison. Penrose Drive is a community setting, rather than custodial where residents can go out in the community if they do not have restrictions on their license. Security is therefore flexible in both design and operation. The team work in a multi disciplinary approach, working alongside probation services, job centres, mental health teams, and other community partners. You will join the team to support in the rehabilitation and reintegration of our residents back into the community. You will engage with them through key working activities to understand their needs and goals, then provide pathways and support to enable them to independence and help reduce reoffending. 

The service hold regular activities in service, in a bright and airy environment. The team work closely with one another and support which achieving overall service KPI's, and you will be part of making a greater change. Job Title: Housing Support Worker

Location: Non residential service which is based in Brent (Close to the Civic Centre), you will provide support based in the main office and in the wider community, including homes

As our director of digital and information security, you will lead our digital risk and resilience team and programme in order to help build resistance and resilience among the people and movements challenging unaccountable power.

Keychange is a Christian charity supporting older people and homeless communities across nine care and housing sites in England. Our People & Culture (HR) team plays a vital role in creating supportive workplaces so that our care teams can deliver exceptional service.

We’re looking for a People & Culture Administrator to join our small but dynamic central office team. You'll be the friendly first point of contact for HR queries, supporting everything from recruitment and onboarding to payroll prep and wellbeing initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Keeping employee records accurate and up to date (Planday & SharePoint)
• Supporting recruitment admin and coordinating onboarding and exits
• Helping managers across our sites with job adverts and employment letters
• Preparing and checking data for payroll accuracy
• Coordinating initiatives like Wellbeing Mentors
• Assisting with the administration of the organisation wide performance management processes (including appraisals and supervisions)
• Supporting internal communications, events, and policy rollouts

You’ll be working closely with our People & Culture Officer, Payroll Lead, and local community managers – a great role if you’re looking to gain broad HR exposure in a values-led organisation.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Solid admin experience – ideally in HR, payroll, or finance
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident using Microsoft 365 (especially Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams)
• A positive, people-first approach – you're helpful, responsive, and discreet

Desirable

• Experience in a charity or care setting
• Knowledge of Planday or other HRIS systems

Population Matters –  Director of Fundraising and Engagement

Location: Home-based with occasional travel (and a regular presence in the office).

Salary: £70k per annum, reviewed annually.

Contract: Permanent, full-time hours. 

Population Matters, the organisation shining a light on the impact our growing population is having on us and nature, is seeking a Director of Fundraising and Engagement to lead and inspire a passionate team towards achieving a global funding model that is diverse, sustainable and pioneering by 2030.

Population Matters is a small yet ambitious global organisation with a vision of a world in which our human population lives fairly and sustainability with nature and each other. With Sir David Attenborough as a patron, the charity works to campaign, inform, undertake research and do all they can to encourage an open fair-minded and constructive debate about population to achieve a better future for people and the planet. They aim to create a wave of public awareness and corresponding policy action on a growing population and unsustainable consumption.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation with a revised vision, mission and values, in conjunction with a new global strategy for 2025-2030 launched earlier in the year. 

The role of Director of Fundraising and Engagement will play a pivotal part in bringing the organisation’s five new strategic goals to life through targeted fundraising work made possible through strong relationship management, influential fundraising and engagement activity and effective partnership building with key stakeholders and donors.  Using a test and learn approach, you will develop a diverse range of donors, allies and influencers who care about the planet and who will support and amplify the charity’s work. The role will also be responsible for exploring global funding opportunities around the creation of new regional hubs and ensuring that Population Matters’ fundraising is supported by clear, compelling, positive, targeted communications.

The role will also sit on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), working collaboratively with the CEO and other Directors to ensure the organisation delivers impact across its strategic goals.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in successfully developing and implementing fundraising strategies or plans, including leading a high performing team, as well as experience of securing funding from international sources or experience working in an international/global context. You will also have demonstratable success in developing and/or delivering an individual giving or legacy programme as well as a philanthropy or grant-seeking function.

You will have strong relationship building skills with major donors and individual supporters, able to align their giving needs with Population Matters’ work. Excellent communication skills will be combined with a resilient and optimistic approach and the ability to work independently with professional drive. Finally you will be passionate about the vision and mission of Population Matters.

Job Title: Community and Events Fundraising Executive

Reports to:  Community and Events Fundraising Manager

Hours: 0.5-0.6 FTE / 18.5 or 22.2 hours per week.

Location: Hybrid – 2 days in our London office

Salary: £28-32,000 p.a. FTE.

Actual salary £14-16,000 p.a. for 0.5FTE  depending on experience and skills or £16,800 - £19,200 p.a. for 0.6FTE.

Are you an experienced community and/or events fundraiser, who loves the buzz of marathon day, and has ambitions to take their career to the next level? We’re seeking someone to join our community fundraising and events team at the Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC) and help us grow our income to support children and young people with vision impairments.

This role joins us at an exciting time as we are building our community and events fundraising programme and offering new ways to engage. A focus of this role will be supporting our London Marathon team – a pillar of our C&E fundraising – building on the outstanding stewardship journey we offer our runners, and crucially thinking creatively about the stewardship journey once they’ve crossed the finish line, inspiring our fundraisers to continue supporting us.

Some main duties of this role include:

· Leading on event planning, recruitment and stewardship for the London Marathon with the aim of maximising income and fostering long-term support from our partners and runners

· Grow and develop RSBC’s London Marathon offering, expanding our appeal and reach

· Working with the Community and Events Fundraising Manager to deliver the wider community and events fundraising strategy, developing and implementing new activities and sustainable income streams

· Champion a first-class supporter experience, ensuring every interaction fosters connection and demonstrates value

· Support the co-creation of innovative, integrated campaigns that drive unrestricted income and deepen community engagement

The ideal candidate will have advanced relationship building skills and experience in community and/or events fundraising, proven ability to achieve income targets and build community networks nationally, working knowledge of CRM databases.
