About The Role
The Communications Officer will play a critical role in contributing to and delivering The Phoenix Way’s communications
objectives. They will increase public awareness of the challenges faced by Black and Global Majority communities,
highlight the work of our partners, and influence wider change in the funding sector.
This is a dynamic and varied role, requiring a strategic thinker with excellent storytelling, advocacy, and stakeholder
engagement skills.
Main duties and responsibilities
Increase Public Awareness
• Develop and implement a communications strategy that frames the lived experiences of racial inequality through
compelling data, case studies, and human stories.
• Commission and manage research and data-gathering projects (e.g. £10k budget for Equity in Philanthropy report).
• Produce and disseminate research findings in accessible, engaging formats (reports, infographics, videos, blogs, press
releases).
• Deliver and oversee a coordinated social media plan across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp).
• Lead the press and media strategy, building relationships with journalists, particularly in Black, Asian, third sector, and
mainstream outlets.
Foster Engagement
• Review, update, and embed TPW’s key messaging framework across all channels.
• Work collaboratively with regional teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure consistent and inclusive messaging.
• Engage and mobilise stakeholders including community organisations, funders, policymakers, and the general public.

Influence Grant-Making Practices

The Veterans’ Foundation’s purpose is to improve the lives of all within the armed forces community who are in need. They do this by raising funds which they award to organisations having a real impact on those currently serving, veterans and their families. Military charities undertaking life-changing work need vital funds to support and sustain their work with beneficiaries.
One of the UK’s fastest-growing military charities, the Veterans’ Foundation was established in 2016 to support serving and former members of the armed forces, operationally qualified seafarers, and their families who are in need. Since its launch, the Foundation has awarded over £30 million in grants to nearly 500 charities and organisations delivering more than 1,000 life-changing projects across the UK. Grants range from a few hundred pounds to £200,000 and support a wide range of needs, including mental health, homelessness, poverty and social isolation. The charity is primarily funded by the Veterans’ Lottery, the UK’s largest single-charity lottery.
We are looking for x1 permanent full time (35 hours per week) and x1 0.5 FTE (17.5 hours per week) FTC (18 months) Grants Assessment Officers to join the Grants Team at the Veterans' Foundation. The Grants Assessment Officer plays a vital role in the assessment of grant requests and will maximise the impact and effectiveness of the Foundation’s funding by ensuring we are supporting projects and activities which are closely aligned to our strategic priorities.
The key focus of the role is the assessment of applications across our existing Grant Programmes, reviewing grant monitoring and providing appropriate levels of support to grant holders during the period of funding.

About Sculpt UK
Sculpt is a UK-based charity with over 20 years’ experience, who support young people to shape their own future. Our vision is that we live in a society where young people can be fulfilled through their education, work and participation in wider society. What are we looking for?
Sculpt UK is hiring a bookings coordinator and youth programme officer who would deliver our direct intervention work with young people aged 12-16 with a focus on skills building around employment through our holistic work experience programmes. Approximately 75% of our under 16s work involves working with young people who have SEND or who are at risk of becoming NEET (not in employment, education or training). Training on working specifically with SEND students will be offered to the successful applicant.

The Legacy Development Manager will take a leading role in delivering and expanding the charity's established legacy fundraising programme at a pivotal time of growth and transformation. With responsibility for developing and implementing the charity's legacy marketing strategy, the postholder will lead multi-channel campaigns, steward legacy enquirers and pledgers, and manage the charity's free will programmes. This role will also line-manage the Legacy Development Officer and coordinate closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications, and finance to ensure effective promotion and administration of legacy giving.
The successful candidate will bring specialist knowledge of legacy marketing processes and demonstrable experience of developing and growing legacy fundraising activity. Experience of soliciting and managing high-value gifts or legacies, budget management, and working within a charity or membership organisation will be essential.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership & Delivery
- Plan and deliver an innovative, progressive programme of activities, developed in collaboration with young people and colleagues.

An opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Finance Manager to provide expert support in leading the financial and management accounting functions at NEF (the New Economics Foundation). Working alongside the Head of Finance you will be instrumental in helping to shape NEF’s finance department. ROLE OVERVIEW
The role is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support across the organisation covering recruitment, onboarding, training, and support for performance management and employee relations. It includes managing volunteer processes and working closely with both internal managers and external HR and training providers.
