As part of this work, our People and Operations Team engages a wide range of people in the Trust’s vision for Gloucestershire, and our Executive Assistant is integral to this.

We are looking for an Executive Assistant to deliver high level professional administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. The Executive Assistant will take responsibility and ownership of office organisation and project delivery, and to provide Trust-wide support for human resources processes and governance processes for the Board of Trustees.

Contract terms:

• This role is permanent, and we welcome applications from people looking for full time hours (37.5hrs per week).

Summary of key duties:

Executive Assistance:

• Organise meetings and manage diaries for the CEO and COO.
• Prepare agenda, take minutes and keep records.
• Handle communications on behalf of CEO and COO.
• Manage projects and general administrative tasks.

Governance Assistance:

• Organise Board and Committee meetings.
• Co-ordinate and support the preparation of meeting papers and distribute them in a timely manner.
• Take accurate minutes and maintain governance records.
• Support the Trustee recruitment and induction processes.
• Keep governance information on the website and Trustee portal up to date.

Human Resources Administration:

• Support HR processes and recruitment.
• Oversee and manage the IRIS HR system, ensuring all employees know how to use the system and keep their information up to date.
• Provide regular HR reports to managers.

Use of Overton House

• Manage room bookings and visitors arrangements, ensuring policy and practice is consistent with the Trust’s values.
• Ensure external users have the right information and support.
• Work with the Marketing and Comms team to promote available spaces.

Line management responsibilities

• Provide line management to the Operations Administrator, enacting the Trust’s management processes to ensure that all direct reports are motivated, supported and enabled to give of their best.
• Conduct regular reviews and support personal development for direct reports, providing open and honest feedback on performance, setting personal development goals and plans.
• Ensure that all direct reports work within clear and effective safeguarding practices and in accordance with all other Trust policies and procedures.
• Ensure that wellbeing, sickness and absence are managed effectively.
• Contribute to Trust-wide people management policies, procedures and team culture as a member of the People Manager Team.

Essential Knowledge and Experience:

• Proven experience of working as a Personal Assistant/Executive Assistant at a senior level
• Experience of accurate minute-taking and record-keeping for both formal and informal meetings
• Team leadership, experience managing or supporting colleagues

Desirable Knowledge and Experience:

• Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
• Knowledge of governance processes

You'll drive the growth of our income from trusts and foundations. You will manage and develop an increasingly diverse portfolio of charitable trusts, foundations and Grantmakers, in the £20,000 - £100,000 funding range. You'll identify and implement new high-value income opportunities, as well as building on and managing existing high-value relationships.

You'll develop and submit high quality funding applications, focusing primarily on high-value bids, advising and guiding colleagues on the development of project plans, project budgets and identifying outputs and outcomes. You'll ennsure funders receive the appropriate level of acknowledgement and recognition and feedback on the monitoring of inputs, outputs and outcomes, in line with their specific requirements.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Considerable experience of high-value trusts fundraising in the £20,000 - £100,000 grant range.
• Experience of establishing and managing effective relationships with decision-makers within high-value trusts and statutory bodies
• Excellent writing skills, and extensive knowledge of how to write a compelling, winning large 5-figure bid.
• Extensive knowledge of monitoring processes utilised by grant funders and understanding of outcomes and impact approaches

The Eikon Charity helps children and young people in Surrey to feel and be safe, heard, and supported. Through one-to-one support, group work, and programmes in schools, Eikon helps children build confidence, resilience, and the skills they will need to navigate life’s challenges.

This is a senior fundraising role within Eikon’s Trusts & Grants team, focused on generating significant voluntary income from charitable trusts, foundations, and local government funders. With an overall team target of £1m, this postholder will contribute around £250k per year through a mix of high-quality applications, strategic account management, and relationship building.

The role requires both strong bid writing skills (especially for complex, high-value and multi-year proposals) and excellent interpersonal skills to develop and steward relationships with funders. It offers the opportunity to take on more responsibility within the team, deputise for the Grants Lead when needed, and help shape Eikon’s fundraising approach.

As Senior Trust Fundraiser, you will:

• Raise circa £250k annually from a mix of trusts, foundations, and local government grant funders (restricted and unrestricted)
• Lead on developing a portfolio of high-value, multi-year funders, cultivating new prospects and strengthening existing relationships
• Research, write, and submit compelling, tailored proposals and reports
• Work collaboratively with the Grants Lead on strategic bids (e.g. The National Lottery Community Fund, Community Foundation for Surrey)
• Develop an approach for growing unrestricted income
• Actively network across Surrey to identify new leads and opportunities
• Provide excellent account management through regular reporting, funder meetings, and creative stewardship (e.g. site visits, events)
• Manage accurate pipeline and reporting on Donorfy CRM, supporting both team and board-level reporting
• Deputise for the Grants Lead at meetings where required
• Provide peer support to colleagues in the fundraising team

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Proven track record in trusts and foundations fundraising (including complex, high-value proposals)
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information persuasively
• Confident in building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders
• Comfortable independently representing Eikon at external meetings and networking events
• Strong organisational and time management skills – able to balance writing, relationship building, and reporting
• Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable; able to deputise when required
• Experience of the children, education, or mental health sectors desirable
• Based in or near Surrey, with willingness to travel regularly within the county

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience Business Development Marketing professional to join our team.

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Community Rehabilitation Service. We are the largest centre commissioned by NHS England for Category A neurorehabilitation.

This role is pivotal in leading on developing commissioning and referral relationships with external stakeholders, whilst driving development of services and marketing activities to build and promote new business, increase income, strengthen pipelines, and position The Children's Trust as the provider of choice for children with acquired brain injury and neurodisability. 

You’ll work alongside a cross-organisational team to promote our services to external stakeholders, in particular managing our key account plan to influence, maximise referrals and income generating opportunities. Key to this is cultivating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including hospital-based clinicians, commissioners at both integrated care boards and local authorities, with professionals with NHS England at a regional and national levels, embassies, medico-legal professionals including case managers and lawyers.

To underpin this, you’ll create, implement and review services-related multi-channel marketing activity, both on and off-line, including development and oversight of our professionals’ events programme, ensuring all activity aligns to, is integrated and works towards delivering our strategic objectives.

You will have the opportunity to develop and implement your expertise in an environment that is focused on the highest clinical and quality standards. Role Requirements

You’ll play a key and central role in driving promotion of our services, and this requires a balanced mix of both business development and marketing skills, knowledge and experience in a complex, services environment. You’ll be comfortable with matrix working, recognising the importance of this role in working across the organisation to drive referral generating activity.

To succeed in this high profile and diverse role, you must demonstrate:

• Building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders, including commissioning bodies such as NHS England, Integrated Care Boards, Local Authorities. 
• Strong communication and negotiation skills. 
• Marketing of services, preferably within healthcare/social care sector. 
• Managing and reporting on development of services and associated marketing activities, in a structured way.
• Knowledge of commissioning landscapes, within healthcare/social care sector. 
• Proven self-starter and excellent track record in development of services, including driving referrals, building pathways and promoting service.

The Role;

• Provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the young people. This will include supporting less experienced staff via positive and effective team working to achieve high quality standards of care that are set and agreed by the Registered Manager on behalf of the Trust. This work will aim to respect and promote the needs of each young person arising from their racial, cultural and religious background.
• Assist with the assessments of need and formulation of plans. This involves working in partnership with other agencies and taking into account the wishes and feelings of the young people, their parents and other persons with parental responsibility, in line with legislation pertaining to the young people.
• Maximise educational opportunities and achievements for the young people looked after within the unit by assisting in identifying, establishing and supporting educational provision and contributing to educational reviews.
• Develop and maintain a good level of awareness of child protection issues, assessing and recording risk. This will include referring child protection issues to the Registered Manager and incorporating consistent boundary setting into everyday practice in order to ensure effectiveness in the prevention and appropriate management of challenging behaviour.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records of the work undertaken with the young people and complete written reports for planning meetings and statutory reviews as necessary. This will be in consultation with the line manager and be undertaken to a standard commensurate with the professional aims of the service.
• Undertake a range of domestic duties, including cooking and some cleaning, to a good standard, to ensure compliance with health and safety policies and the guidelines for young people and staff.
• Take responsibility for the promotion of safeguarding and the welfare of children and young persons for who they are responsible for.

About you;

• Good standard of written and oral English
• QCF(NVQ level 3) in health and social care (CCYP) or equivalent or willingness to achieve award within timescales set by trust
• Working in a residential setting, undertaking the full range of duties in a well planned way that respects and values the young people as individuals.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write reports
• Working with young people and an understanding of the issues affecting them.

The Role;

• Provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the young people. This will include supporting less experienced staff via positive and effective teamwork to achieve high quality standards of care that are set and agreed by the Registered Manager on behalf of the Trust. This work will aim to respect and promote the needs of each young person arising from their racial, cultural and religious background.
• Assist with the assessments of need and formulation of plans. This involves working in partnerships with other agencies and taking into account the wishes and feelings of the young people, their parents and other persons with parental responsibility, in line with legislation pertaining to the young people.
• Maximise educational opportunities and achievements for the young people looked after within the unit by assisting in identifying, establishing and supporting educational provision and contributing to educational reviews.
• Undertake primary responsibility for key working at least one young person of a more complex nature.
• Undertake the supervision of less experienced residential staff and/or ancillary staff in accordance with Together Trust Policies & Procedures as directed by the Registered Manager.
• Assist with the planning and preparation of the shift rotas.

About you;

• Good standard of written and oral English
• QCF(NVQ level 3) in health and social care (CCYP) or equivalent or willingness to achieve award within timescales set by trust
• Working in a residential setting, undertaking the full range of duties in a well planned way that respects and values the young people as individuals.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write reports
• Working with young people and an understanding of the issues affecting them.

About the role

You will work closely with the Income Generation Team and Services Teams to develop and maintain long-term sustainable funding from Trusts and Foundations. Through developing and expanding income through grants, evolving our case for support, and managing relationships with a variety of grant funders, you will transform survivors’ lives and help us be part of the systems change to end sexual violence.

You will undertake new prospect research, keep up-to-date with the sector at large, and maintain and grow our funding pipeline. You will also write compelling funding bids, proposals and appeals, alongside timely reports to funders. You will seek opportunities to strengthen and build on existing and lapsed funding relationships and offer opportunities to engage funders directly with our work.

About You

You will be passionate about implementing the SARSAS fundraising strategy ensuring that SARSAS can continue to deliver support to meet the needs of those who have been raped and sexually abused across Avon and Somerset.

You will be a skilled writer who is confident in identifying, researching, and qualifying prospects to continue our successful growth. You will have strong relationship management skills and will be able to build and sustain long-term relationships with funders, as well as identify opportunities to deepen funders’ commitment to our cause.

You will have strong organisational skills, and be able to manage a workload which balances application and reporting deadlines alongside funder stewardship and pipeline development. You will also be a good team player and self-starter – we’re a small team who manage our own workloads, but we relish the opportunity to come together, share ideas and take creative risks.

SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.

SARSAS also campaigns and raises awareness about rape and sexual violence to change the narrative about sexual violence and enable survivor’s voices to be heard. Partnership work with a range of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change.

This is a mixed role – developing partnership links and building capacity to develop cancer support services in the geographical area of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

In a typical day you may:

• Support priority projects. A key priority for the role is the creation, development and protection of local cancer support services, strengthening local voluntary organisations. 
• Attend public events and use social media tools to promote what we do and why we do it.
• Together with partners across health, social care and the third sector ensure that the programme puts the person affected by cancer at the centre. 

Looking forward towards the future of personalised care we need to provide a more supportive cancer service so that everyone with cancer will know where they can turn them from the moment they are diagnosed, getting support that’s right for them. 

The role will require you to manage your own workload effectively, be flexible with occasional evening work and very occasional weekend work. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative whilst benefitting from being part of a supportive team and renowned national charity.

The role

The trusts fundraising officer will report to the trusts dunfraising manager.

We are seeking an enthusiastic trusts fundraising officer to join our team to help deliver our ambitious plans for growth. This new role involves managing a warm portfolio of trusts and foundations and finding new prospective donors, submitting compelling applications and providing exceptional supporter experience.

You will be proactive and passionate about building strong relationships with charitable funders and have previous experience of securing gifts from trusts and foundations or institutional donors. Additionally, you will have experience of identifying and assessing new prospects and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organisational abilities.

Our dynamic fundraising department generated £4.5m through donations in 2023/24, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital.

Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:

• Our philanthropy & campaigns team builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, corporate organisations and intermediaries, giving or facilitating donations of £10,000 or more to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our forthcoming cancer campaign, and special events to support these activities.

• Our public fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges.

Supporting over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families annually, Acorns Children’s Hospice is a vital lifeline for families across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire during unimaginably difficult times.
