TPP are recruiting an EQA Manager on behalf of our client, a highly respected awarding organisation dedicated to ensuring the safe and fair awarding of qualifications.
The Role:
As the EQA Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing external quality assurance processes and procedures, maintaining high standards and compliance with regulatory and awarding organisation requirements.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage all EQAs, including performance management processes.
- Lead recruitment efforts and ensuring appropriate training for EQAs.
- Ensure the smooth implementation of EQA processes and procedures to uphold regulatory compliance.
- Deliver annual budget reports to the Head of Access and Compliance, providing detailed forecasting and recommendations.
- Develop and execute annual training and development plans for centres, EQAs, and internal colleagues.
- Create centre-based training materials and handbooks.
- Supervise standardisation activities and materials for EQAs, both internally and externally.
- Offer recommendations to the Head of Access and Compliance regarding external quality assurance and ongoing improvement efforts.
- Assist the broader organisation in readiness for inspections, audits, and self-assessments.
- Coordinate and ensure EQAs allocation to carry out monitoring in line for CASS strategy.
Requirements:
- Project and line management experience.
- Knowledge of current education legislation.
- Knowledge of awarding body and regulatory structures.
- Experience in external quality assurance processes and report writing.
- Understanding of post-16 education and lifelong learning.
- Excellent organisational skills, diligence and integrity.
- Experience of networking with key stakeholders.
Additional information:
- Travel will be required in this role between the group's offices and nationally.

Role
- To collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team on the strategic people plan.
- Leading and advise the Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team on employment law, employee relations and up to date employment trends.
- Be responsible for the employee lifecycle in line with employment legislation.
- Manage people & culture teams effectively.
- Supporting line mangers with all HR related queries
- Deliver the organisation's strategic plan.
- Formulating and delivering people plans at an operational level
- Lead the direction on recruitment, to ensure organisational recruitment needs are met.
- Ensuring policies and processes at each area of the employee life cycle are compliant with UK employment legislation, including recruitment, onboarding, probationary, pay and reward.
- Ensure line managers are effectively briefed on any relevant changes to employment law and group policies and procedures.
- Managing the employee relations workload effectively including leading on more complex and challenging employee relations cases.
- Create and deliver training to managers on managing people in line with the group's people polices.
- Leading on the performance management continuous review cycle, ensuring that the pay review process is fit for purpose and competitive.

Pathway specialist - Property (Tutor)
Do you have a conveyancing legal background with an interest in Tutoring students?
We have a permanent opportunity for a conveyancing legal professional to join a Law School on a permanent basis, for 2-3 days a week (across Mon - Thurs). This role is fully remote as learners are online, but there would be a requirement to attend in-person meetings in Bedford, up to 6 times per year.
Key duties:
- Manage caseload of learners: onboard, assess skills, and create development plans.
- Deliver group and 1:1 teaching sessions at all levels in designated areas of specialism via webinar, checking and supporting learning and the practical application of skills
- Assessing learners' formative work according to mark schemes, providing detailed feedback on all areas of strength and identifying areas for development
- Supporting learners by conference call, email or online forum
- Ensure learner safety and well-being, report any concerns.
- Monitor learner engagement and progress, raise concerns as needed.
- Conduct progress reviews, set objectives, and adapt plans accordingly.
- Assist learners with assessments and provide additional support when necessary.
- Provide feedback on learner experience and contribute to quality improvement.
- Participate in standardisation processes and staff development.
- Contribute to improving learning resources and stay updated in relevant subject areas.
- Collaborate with Business Development Team for progression opportunities.
Essential experience:
- CILEX graduate/Law degree or equivalent.
- Significant experience in designated practice area (property).
- Some experience of delivery/training, this could include in-house training of colleagues.
