We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team as our Commercial Sales Assistant. In this varied and exciting role, you will support the sales and operations processes behind our range of products and services, including WOW – the walk to school challenge, our award-winning offer for primary schools. The postholder will work within our trading subsidiary, Living Streets Services Ltd, helping deliver both commercial goals and charitable purpose.
What you’ll be doing:
·Act as the first point of contact for sales enquiries via phone and email.
·Support the full sales process, from preparing quotes and proposals to managing client accounts.
·Assist with order processing, fulfilment, invoicing and resolving delivery or service issues.
·Maintain accurate CRM/database records and ensure smooth communication with clients.
·Help organise outreach events and support the coordination of our annual WOW badge competition.
·Deliver exceptional service to schools, local authorities and other stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
·Experienced in handling enquiries and providing administrative or sales support.
·A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
·Highly organised with great attention to detail and time management.
·Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ideally familiar with CRM/e-commerce systems.
·Passionate about social enterprise and supporting sustainable, active lifestyles.

Personal Safety Project Customer Service Liaison/Administrator
Salary £10,082.80 pro rata (£25,207 FTE) Part Time / 14 hours per week
Age UK Croydon’s very successful Personal Safety Project (Falls Prevention) for older people in Croydon is recruiting a new Customer Service Liaison/Administrator. If you are an enthusiastic, passionate and organised individual, this could be the role for you.
Our Personal Safety Project (PSP) is a free service which aims to help older people who have fallen or are at risk of falling at home. The service is available to anyone aged 50 and over who lives in the borough of Croydon.
Our trained assessors carry out a comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential causes of falls and hazards in the home and can arrange for stair rails, grab handles and other necessary aids to be supplied and/or fitted, free of charge. The project can provide ongoing telephone support for up to six weeks to monitor the risk of further falls post engagement.

Role 1 - Researcher or Senior Researcher (Permanent)
The Fabian Society is hiring a Researcher or Senior Researcher to lead on important, high-impact research projects, engaging directly with the government and stakeholders. You will:
- Develop project ideas and help secure funding from trusts and foundations, unions, charities, businesses and other funders.
- Write research and policy papers.
- Meet with leading politicians, advisors, sector experts and campaigners to discuss your research and debate new policy ideas.
- Write articles for leading media outlets and seek coverage and broadcast opportunities for your work.
- Represent the society and present your research at events and conferences.
We will look favourably on certain policy specialisms but we also value candidates who can become experts quickly. We are particularly interested in people who have expertise in housing, employment rights, social security, energy and climate, tax, public spending and macroeconomic policy. Role 2 - Research Assistant (Fixed Term 12 Month Contract)
The Fabian Society is also hiring a Research Assistant on a 12-month development contract to support the new Fabian Housing Centre, as well as wider projects across the research team.
You will undertake a wide range of activities, and contribute to the development of high-quality research reports, working closely with our Research Manager and Head of the Fabian Housing Centre.
We pride ourselves on providing opportunities for development and progression. This is a development role, which will involve both on- and off-the-job training opportunities. Following completion of the development role, we aim to offer a permanent role.
