Here's what the team will be looking for
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience supporting individuals with mental health and/or dual diagnosis issues, with a strong understanding of a range of mental health conditions, safeguarding, and relevant legislation. They will be knowledgeable about recovery-focused approaches and local mental health services, and experienced in risk assessment, case management, and working dynamically under pressure. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to engage respectfully with service users, represent the organisation externally, and deliver presentations to commissioners and stakeholders. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, support the induction of peer staff and volunteers, and build effective partnerships with statutory and community organisations. They will also possess strong organisational, time management, and IT skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and produce clear written communication. A commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and empowerment in all aspects of their work is essential.

Are you looking for a rewarding role working for an intersectional feminist organisation? If so, we have an incredible opportunity for you to join our team as a Housing First Multiple Disadvantage Outreach and Advocacy Worker at Solace Women's Aid.
We exist to end the harm done through gender-based violence. Our aim is to work to prevent violence and abuse, as well as providing services to meet the individual needs of survivors, particularly women and children. Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives, free from abuse.
Our core values reflect our history and were developed in consultation with staff and service users. Feminism and intersectionality are key to our work and we are committed to the principles of being survivor-led, trauma-informed, empowering, diverse, anti-racist and anti-discriminatory.
About the Service
Housing First supports the most entrenched, excluded and hard to reach service users. It focuses on finding permanent housing as quickly as possible and then addressing the issues that have contributed to an individual’s homelessness. The Ruby Project, is a specialist Housing First programme supporting women who have experienced VAWG and other difficulties such as, substance misuse, experience of the criminal jusice system, having children removed from their care, mental and physical health issues etc.
‘I want someone who I can do nice things with, too, not someone who just talks about what has gone wrong, or drugs and other things……I think about those negatives all the time anyway and I want a worker who I can feel positive with, happy’ (service user supported by another Housing First Project).
About the Role
Accountabilities
- Provide a high-quality case work support and information service to victims/survivors who have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence.
- Advocate on behalf of clients with external agencies where appropriate, including at the MARAC
- Provide Solution-focused casework interventions with women who have experienced VAWG and Multiple Disadvantage
- Provide emotional support using a trauma informed approach.
- Build and maintain supportive relationships with women.
- Contribute to the completion of outcomes reports and funding returns when required.
- Complete all documents when support work commences and keep up to date with any changing risks to or from the woman.
- Empower women to access benefits and services they need.
- Involve service users in the design, development, and delivery of the service.
- Engage with a wide range of professionals (some of whom may have very different approaches to problem solving) through a multi-agency approach, and advocate to agencies on behalf of the Project and its service users.
- Promote coordinated, joined-up service delivery for service users between violence against women services and drug and alcohol agencies, mental health, housing, health and legal agencies.
- Contribute to a service-wide communications plan and ensure that information about the service is widely available locally to other agencies and is also readily accessible to potential service users.
- Educate a wide range of agencies and stakeholders about the challenges faced by women experiencing multiple disadvantage.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the Project
- Be self-motivated to research processes and services in order to fully support and advocate for the women.
- Fully engage with the team and all support and team spaces offered, supporting colleagues with the difficulties they face and celebrating positive outcomes.
- Attend regular supervision sessions with your Line Manager
- Attend case review meetings and contribute to effective team communication.
- Ensure that creative and effective relationships are established with other teams and external organisations, particularly those that offer a service to our service users

- A good knowledge of safeguarding practice and procedures
- Ability to provide strengths-based support.
- A resilient and assertive approach to reaching out to and building trust and positive relationships with women who have complex/multiple needs and who may present as reluctant to engage and/or may be presenting in crisis.
- Excellent organisational, ICT, written and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of current safeguarding legislation, frameworks and procedures and practical application.

Oasis is looking for someone who can combine an entrepreneurial flair and excellent leadership skills to become the next Community Hub Leader at -Oasis Hub Hadley and Enfield, London.
The post holder will lead the development of the Hub, supporting the Oasis Academies and wider local community. The role will hold the vision of integrated community delivery, which will include a range of projects such as family support, volunteering, advice and support, community events.
This is a key role as you will be responsible for strategic oversight of the hub charity, ensuring the youth and community work supports the work of the academy, working alongside other local Oasis leaders such as the Principals, volunteers and members of the local community to develop a joined up local vision for the community.
Some of the specific duties of this role include:
· Establishment and coordination of a range of services such as family support, holiday provision, volunteering and community empowerment projects.
· Building supportive working partnerships across the community and various groups.
· Leading strategic development (e.g. comms, income generation, MEL)
· Planning, resource and coordinate the community plan, measuring impact.
· Developing a team that can grow an Oasis Movement (e.g. engaging staff, volunteers and community workers).

What are the responsibilities of the Independent Child Trafficking Guardian:
Support for Children: Independent Child Trafficking Guardians (ICTGs) support children who have experienced trafficking and exploitation. They work alongside professionals to ensure that each child receives appropriate, tailored support in line with their individual needs.
Within this role some of your responsibilities will be:
- Working alongside professionals, including Social Workers, Police, Youth Justice Teams, Foster Carers and Residential Support Workers, to identify children exploited through modern slavery and refer them into the Service
- Provide advice, guidance and information about child trafficking and initial safety planning to professionals through 1:1 case consultations or attendance at multi-agency meetings
- Develop initial needs assessments and action plans
- Support practitioners from partner agencies to meet the needs of children who have experienced trafficking and exploitation
- Manage a substantial caseload of young people supported through direct and indirect work, working within the requirements of service Key Performance Indicators and in line with Home Office Guidance.
- Provide specialist support for children through face-to-face contact and online platforms, using creative and child-centred approaches. Ensure a high standard of care is delivered within the boundaries of the role.
- Identify and respond to safeguarding, alerting managers to concerns and working with staff from partner agencies to deliver a robust safeguarding response.
This is a fixed term contract to work within the ICTG Service to the end of March 2026 in line with our current contract.

About the role
The post-holder will provide independent advocacy in various settings, including in the community, people’s homes, and hospital settings including mental health wards. You’ll raise awareness of advocacy, including for people from minority ethnic communities. You’ll work as part of a team of independent advocates, reporting to the Advocacy Service Manager.
You will work as part of the Ealing advocacy team. You may also need to carry out your role in other London boroughs.
Under the Health and Social Care Act 2008, the post holder will be required to visit CQC registered care homes and would be subject to government requirements.
