Age UK Bromley & Greenwich is seeking a proactive and compassionate Care Navigation Coordinator to lead a small team supporting older people as they transition from hospital back to the community. Based at the ICN Unit at Orpington Hospital, you will work closely with NHS colleagues and local services to ensure people on the Proactive and Frailty pathways receive the non-medical support they need to stay independent and well.

This is a varied and people-centred role, combining direct patient contact with service coordination and staff supervision. You will hold guided conversations with patients, identify support needs, liaise with professionals in health and social care, and ensure that care plans are holistic and person-centred. You'll also support and supervise a small team of Care Navigators and help shape the service through team meetings and collaborative working.

We are looking for someone who is confident working across teams and settings, with strong communication and organisational skills, a working knowledge of health and social care, and a genuine commitment to supporting older people.

About the role

This is a brand new role, supporting the Head of Safe Ground with the strategic oversight and delivery of our programmes. Safe Ground has been at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative arts-based, therapeutically informed interventions within the criminal justice system and in communities across the UK. As we approach our 30th anniversary this year, we remain dedicated to challenging systematic injustice through the programmes we run and the partnerships we build. Using theatre arts, and culture, we design initiatives to support those impacted by the criminal justice system in gaining deeper insights into themselves, their relationships and their behaviours. We do this by equipping our participants with practical tools and building a community who are open to doing things differently. In this role, you will develop best practice around creative interventions, building powerful partnerships with commissioners, partners, and other key stakeholders, ensuring our programmes are being delivered to the highest standards. You will lead on the development of new and existing arts-based work, identifying gaps and opportunities for growth within the sector.

• Oversee the development of new creative ideas and programmes as well as programme adaptations and redesigns. Ideas could be linked to theatre productions in and out of custodial settings, short films, live events, symposiums, but may also include new art forms and working with new artists
• Development of a local / national facilitator network
• Create and deliver engaging high-quality programmes which support rehabilitation and reintegration for participants
• Design and deliver innovation arts-based high quality training and quality assurance support to management and delivery teams across the SIG network - focusing specifically on relationships, culture and communication, conflict resolution, storytelling, power-sharing and co-production
• Lead on the development of creative ideas for Safe Grounds 30th anniversary, including; relationship building and partnership development, advocacy and networking, idea development - radio / stage / film etc
• Provide high quality peer-mentoring spaces, leadership, and line management to staff, offering guidance, support, and advice to the team to support them to perform to the best of their abilities. Facilitate the team in identifying solutions to challenges presented in relation to all elements of service delivery

About you

We are looking for someone who is ambitious and passionate about supporting people who have experienced multiple disadvantages and social exclusion. You will have proven experience in arts development and strategic support, with an extensive understanding of the criminal justice system and the role in which arts-based interventions play. You will be creative, empowering, and be a dedicated lead in supporting our strategic growth. You will understand arts-based interventions and methodologies, and have experience in developing and delivering creative programmes and productions.

• Previous experience in working and engaging with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
• Previous experience in developing, producing, and/or performing professional productions for example film, television, or theatre productions
• Proven experience in designing innovative arts-based programmes and extensive experience of facilitation of programmes and/or training for various groups
• A theoretical understanding of co-production models and practical application of building them and embedding them into best practice
• Previous experience and/or ability to people manage and develop a team
• Ability to create, develop, and deliver new programmes and/or creative content in various settings such as prisons, communities, and wider criminal justice settings
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Ability to form and build effective relationships and rapport with others

We have launched a new Opportunity Centre at 52 Charrington Street, Somers Town as part of the innovative London AI Campus. The Centre will provide young people with access to technology, digital learning, and AI education, extending learning beyond the classroom in a secure and inspiring environment.

The role

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Opportunity Centre Officer to lead operations at this innovative space, ensuring it becomes a hub of inspiration and growth for young people.

This role will oversee the Centre’s daily operations, ensure smooth delivery of engaging learning experiences, and collaborate with schools, partners, and the community to provide meaningful development opportunities for young people.

This is a fixed term contract starting late August/early September 2025 until July 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

· Oversee day-to-day access and use of the Centre, including student registration and visitor management.

· Ensure the facility is safe, secure, and welcoming, including health and safety checks, safeguarding measures, and ICT setup.

· Coordinate the planning, setup, and cleanup of learning activities.

· Manage basic building maintenance, including coordinating repairs, ensuring cleanliness, and overseeing general upkeep of the facility.

Youth Engagement & Programme Delivery:

· Support external facilitators and partners in delivering inspiring and educational sessions.

· Foster a positive learning environment, ensuring young people are engaged, motivated, and safe.

· Work with partners to design and improve activities that promote personal and social development.

Administrative & Event Coordination:

· Manage the Centre’s calendar, schedule activities, and coordinate events with schools, parents, and external partners.

· Create promotional materials and manage digital communications to raise awareness of the Centre’s offerings.

· Assist the AI Campus Director with key administrative tasks.

Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration:

· Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, parents, students, and community organisations.

· Act as a Camden Learning ambassador, promoting inclusivity and positive learning outcomes.

Safeguarding & Compliance:

· Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring all safeguarding policies are upheld.

· Conduct regular health and safety checks, addressing any issues proactively.

Continuous Improvement:

· Gather feedback from students, parents, and partners to identify service gaps and opportunities for enhancement.

· Contribute ideas to further develop the Centre’s programming and operational excellence.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

· Experience working with young people in educational, youth work, or community settings.

· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and partners.

· Knowledge of safeguarding practices and experience acting in a safeguarding capacity.

· Confidence in handling practical site operations, including health and safety, security, and ICT tasks.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to quickly learn new IT systems.

· Administrative expertise, including managing schedules, creating promotional materials, and handling logistical coordination.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a good standard of English and Maths.

· Relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., education, youth work) or equivalent experience.

About the role

We are seeking a technically capable, qualified accountant with strong knowledge of the Charities SORP to provide effective stewardship and oversight of the Finance function at Kinship. You will be responsible for financial controls, management accounting and ensuring the effective delivery of ‘business as usual’ financial management.

As well as producing monthly management accounts, you will be responsible for running the annual budget and the year-end processes, preparing for the yearly external audit and ensuring that the organisation complies with statutory obligations.

You will prepare papers for and attend the quarterly Finance Committee meetings and will liaise with a range of stakeholders including auditors, the bank and investment managers.  You will be the ‘go to’ business partner at the charity, supported by the Chief Operating Officer and Fractional Chief Financial Officer.

You will manage a team of two colleagues – a Senior Finance Officer and a Payroll Manager – providing them with guidance, coaching and support to enable them to perform effectively. You will also collaborate and work with Directors and senior managers across the organisation to inform them on performance against budget and conditions of funding, as well as supporting fundraising and commissioning bids. 

You will have excellent communication skills and will be able to organise conflicting priorities around the monthly management accounts cycle, while supporting the achievement of our strategic objectives. You will be flexible and adaptable in your approach to supporting transformational change in our processes and systems, as well as dealing with, and leading on, the day-to-day financial management. 

This is a broad and challenging role for a dynamic and systems-driven individual who wants to grow within the organisation, proactively problem solve and help colleagues to deliver on our mission.

Essential requirements include:

• Fully qualified ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, standards and the Charities SORP, and experience of applying these in a service delivery organisation
• Experience managing a Finance function in a charity with £1-10m annual turnover
• Experience of line management and developing a team using approaches that are empowering
• Experience of Business Central, or the ability to quickly learn a new accounting system
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to use Pivot Tables and other functions to analyse large data sets
