Fundraiser – The Role:

In this part-time role (22.5 hrs p/w) you will be responsible for all aspects of fund raising for The Middle Temple and for the associated activity. You will generate the strategy, annual fundraising plan and then enact activity to achieve the objectives set in the plan.

We’d love to hear from you if you are an experienced fundraising practitioner who has built strategies and plans with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Fundraiser – Key Responsibilities:

- To write the Middle Temple fundraising strategy and annual plan. Then, to enact the plan to achieve fundraising objectives

- To organise and run the annual calendar of fundraising activities, including appeals

- To manage the oversight of the Trustees of the Middle Temple charity and fund through regular meetings of these groups

- To manage, and keep updated, the fundraising databases and information sources required to enable the Inn’s fundraising

- Identify, cultivate and then apply to various funding sources, both internally and externally including grants and trusts

- Write funding applications where appropriate, monitor and track donations and keep financial records up to date

Fundraiser – You:

- An experienced fundraising practitioner used to both creating strategies and plans as well as operating as a ‘hands on’ operator

- Experience of a similar working environment and/or understanding of the workings of other not-for-profit organisations

- Strong administrative experience, ideally in a fundraising role, dealing with the legal and administrative requirements of fundraising including the relationship management of donors

- Experience in managing the requirements of a charity including accounting, reporting and attending meetings of the Charity’s Trustees

- IT literate with experience of using databases (Salesforce and CiviCRM), Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

- Excellent communications skills (verbally and in writing) at all levels

About the role

As Senior Caseworker, you will provide first and second-tier specialist advice and casework support on a range of welfare benefits issues. You will manage a caseload of complex cases and will take cases to the First-tier Tribunal. Issues we commonly advise on include PIP, LCWRA and Universal Credit.

You will also offer guidance to our Pro-bono Project volunteers on their appeals cases, review cases and submissions to ensure accuracy and quality, and deliver training to PBP project volunteers. You will contribute to the work of the policy team, sharing expertise, insights and evidence.

About you

You will have significant experience as a welfare rights advisor and possess in-depth knowledge of welfare benefits legislation, case law, and procedures, including challenges to decisions and representation at tribunals. You will have at least five years' experience delivering welfare benefits advice on a range of issues and have substantial experience of representing clients at the First-tier Tribunal. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a commitment to working with communities who are marginalised and underserved.

With a passion for helping people to overcome poverty, you will have the ability to interview, advise, and work with service users empathetically. You will have a commitment to working in an anti-poverty charity that sees Policy & Influencing and Advice work as complimentary and integrated components of its strategy to eradicate poverty. About the role

The Refugee Council supports separated children across England and part of our service is a team of staff based at the port of Dover, working 24/7 to provide a temporary safeguarding service for children arriving there, ensuring that their basic needs are met while they await transfer to the care of a local authority. Position Title: Helpline Supervisor

Role Purpose:

The Helpline Supervisor will provide support, guidance and supervise the helpline advisors and in the future helpline volunteers. • You will support the Property Services and Operational Manager in the delivery of high quality service provision incorporating support, welfare, safety and security of all children and young people in the service and promoting the Company’s ethos and values.

Purpose of the Role

To lead on the recruitment, development, training, and well-being of a team of volunteers who deliver vital Home-Start support to families. The role involves managing a caseload of volunteers and supporting families directly where appropriate. Over the course of the year, an average of one day per week will be dedicated to leading volunteering strategy and practice, with the remainder focused on family support delivery.

Key Responsibilities. As Volunteer Lead Co-ordinator you will:

• Carry out initial home-visits and support families to set and monitor goals
• Match volunteers with families according to need and capacity
• Supervise an appropriate caseload of volunteers and enable them to support families
• Monitor safeguarding concerns and liaise with the Operations Manager/Director as needed
• Lead volunteer recruitment to grow and sustain HSH’s diverse pool of volunteers
• Create marketing materials (flyers, social media, newsletter content) in collaboration with Communications and Campaigns Coordinator (CCC
• Oversee and co-ordinate the delivery of Volunteer Preparation Courses
• Organise / deliver a programme of training sessions for current volunteers
• Lead on annual volunteer social events and develop ongoing opportunities for volunteer recognition and reward
