What will you do? 

You will work with a highly motivated staff and volunteer team to deliver a quality outreach advice and support service for individuals with an acquired brain injury in Gloucestershire.

We value transferrable skills and are particularly interested to receive applications from candidates who have experience of managing a client caseload and of working to empower and support vulnerable adults.

Under the direction of the CEO at Headway Gloucestershire, you will work alongside clients with complex needs to support their recovery, wellbeing, independence and autonomy, working towards agreed goals and recording key outputs and outcomes. This might include:-

1. Providing brain injury recovery information and advice, working with compensation situations and making referrals to clinicians and health providers.

2. Maintaining tenancies by assisting with paperwork, organising payment plans, negotiating with landlords or mortgage providers.

3. Form filling for welfare benefits, housing applications, blue badges and bus passes etc.

4. Supporting people to access resources in their local community including leisure, education, volunteering and employment opportunities.

5. Supporting people to attend appointments and meetings when relevant.

6. Working with other informal and formal support providers.

About the Role:

As a Stalking Caseworker you will:

• Manage your own caseload of service users which will include safety planning, risk and need assessing and completing an action plan with the service user
• Complete in depth needs assessments to complete actions such as advocating with the police or other criminal justice agencies, voluntary sector or statutory sector services
• Signpost or refer service users to other services and may signpost to online tools and resources
• Work with the service manager to upskill external colleagues, promote the service and raise awareness about the service and about stalking more generally

You will need:

• To be a confident and empathic caseworker who can professionally challenge and promote the best outcomes for service users
• Experience of casework, supporting others and assessing needs and risk
• Experience of safeguarding people, maintaining a confidential service and working with sensitive data

JOB PURPOSE:

The Healthy Relationship Worker will be responsible for supporting both young people and families around topics relating to relationships and sexual health through delivery of one to one and group work support.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide a support service to young people across Cardiff, working in partnership with statutory and voluntary professionals to ensure young people are supported with their sexual health and relationship needs.

• To plan, deliver and evaluate one to one and group activities which support the sexual health and wellbeing of young people in Cardiff, with a particular focus on vulnerable young people and those at risk.

• To have a good understanding of current issues affecting young people with a focus on relationships, teenage pregnancy and risk factors associated with teenage pregnancy

• Support with the admin and coordination of the C-Card scheme.

• Work with local and national partners to support young people to gain access to appropriate information and advice in relation to relationships and sexual health.

• To maintain records and provide reports to funders and senior management as necessary

• Promotion of the service to relevant partners in health, education and social services, to include an active social media presence.

• To maintain accurate records of young people accessing the service and statistical information, to allow effective evaluation for funders.

• To attend various staff group/team meetings both internal and external.

• To attend any identified training as agreed with the line manager.

The Financial Planning & Reporting Team are looking for an Assistant Business Partner (AFBP) to join the team as soon as possible. 

What's the role about? 

The post holder will support the Finance Business Partners and Senior Reporting Accountant with the production of weekly and monthly financial reports and general management accounts duties.

The post holder will complete reconciliations and maintain records for budget monitoring and forecasting in support of the Finance Business Partners. They may also investigate variances and help maintain the finance systems.

• AAT level 4 qualification or be CIMA / ACCA part-qualified

About the Group Housing Officer role:

We are looking for a dedicated, proactive and experienced Group Housing Officer to join our small, close-knit housing management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the housing management functions relating to but not limited to occupancy, charge collection, and monitoring of health and safety for a patch of residential supported accommodation services.  

You will work independently, with autonomy over your own working schedule and meeting priorities, as well as working as part of the wider team and in collaboration with our services. You will support our Service Managers with the smooth operation of their properties, maintaining high standards of housing management, and supporting the needs of our residents in relation to housing management. You will support with the management and auditing of rent accounts to help maximise organisational income. This is a great role if you have the passion for what we do, and have a background in housing management!

What are we looking for from a Group Housing Officer:

• Experience in effective rent collection and management of arrears
• Proven experience in housing management which includes health, safety and environment and anti-social behaviour
• Proven experience of collaborative working across different geographically dispersed teams
• Understanding of welfare benefits and entitlements including but not limited to housing benefit

Location: In Service based in Croydon, CR0 1EB. You will be required to work across multiple services within the area.

About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Croydon, providing leadership and line management to a team of night staff which is around 10 people in total. You will provide support and supervision sessions at night, and general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles. You will further ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements to the residents. You will be responsible for creating a psychologically informed environment (PIE) with person centred support during all hours. You will work closely with the day teams to ensure a smooth handover from the day to night. 

This service is a Forensic Mental Health provision for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. For your own personal safety, you will require to have access to your own transport as you will need to travel between our 4 sites during the night shift to provide managerial support to the teams. The teams support our residents with person centred support, to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, to have greater independence and fulfilled living. The service is responsible for holding various activities, group sessions, and one to one support to enable residents to build their personal skills and experiences to achieve their goals. 

The role includes:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.
