The Events Officer will support the Events Operation Manager in delivering the smooth running and operation of the Aga Khan Centre facilities and events. In this context, he/she will manage the daily set up, servicing, cleaning and management of meeting rooms and Board Rooms for a range of events. Duties include preparation and setting out of all refreshments for meetings and events.
The role requires the ability to work flexibly in terms of working hours including late hours and Saturdays and Sundays if required to support and accommodate events.
Meetings & Events
• Support the team with setting up meeting rooms for internal and external users, including organising tea/coffee trolleys and serving meeting room lunches
• Liaison with clients/bookers/stakeholders via email, by phone and face to face
• Creation of event agendas/function sheets/transferring all information from the organiser to capture event requirements
• Liaison with event suppliers (Catering, AV, Entertainment, Florist Etc.) on behalf of the organiser
• Using function sheets to manage and set up rooms and areas, ensuring any food and beverage requirements are met in a timely manner and utilising the appropriate suppliers
• Ensuring rooms are set up according to bookings
• Meet and greet organisers for each event allocated
• Offer and conduct site visits with event organisers
• Administration: responsible for all administration duties relating to meetings and events
• Oversee each event allocated and stay onsite throughout, as, and when required as directed by the Events Operations Manager
• Liaise with the relevant teams to ensure the AV in meeting/event rooms is set to the standard required for each meeting/event
• Assisting Events Operations Manager with creating regular and ad-hoc reports on meetings and events for the Property Committee and other senior staff
• Manage the clearing, turn around and set up of meeting and seminar rooms as required
Customer Care
• Providing excellent customerservice to guests and stakeholders
• Liaise with all events clients (internal organisations and external), being the main point of contact to plan and organise from start to end their events, researching the most adequate spaces, negotiate prices, quotes for large meetings, VIP events or large events, adapting to any budget. On the day of the event, being the main point of contact and responsible for putting all the teams together (building maintenance, IT) for a smooth event delivery on the day
• Liaise and maintain a relationship with the volunteer core of the ismaili community and coordinate requirements for specific meetings/large events
• Maintain and extend upon relationships with the 3 different organisations based in AKC
• Oversee and coordinate derigging for all meetings and VIP events invoicing and ensuring all the payments are made
• Liaising with clients for feedback
• Supervise and manage different contractors such as cleaners, catering, hospitality agency staff, AV, reception, or volunteers
• Day to day manage and train Events Assistants to ensure maximum utilisation of the resource
• Maintaining and updating regularly the trackers about extra cleaning, external staff, events allocations and volunteers’ requests
General
• Support the Building Manager and Events Operations Manager to ensure the day-to-day cleanliness and tidiness is maintained to a high standard
• Ensure the cleaning contractors maintain clean board rooms and meeting rooms as well as kitchens and equipment
• Carry out cleanliness checks and walk rounds, ensuring the areas of responsibility are clean and stocks are replenished as necessary
• Manage the clearing, turn around and set up of meeting and seminar rooms as required
• Send a tracker of events every fortnight reflecting meetings and events updates to key events people in the building institutions
• Work with the Events Operations Manager to monitor health and safety, sanitation, and food hygiene standards
• Assist Events Operations Manager with the monthly Service Data report for the Property Committee
• Work closely with the Events Operations Manager, Reception, Security, buildings management team and users to provide a seamless and positive experience
• Work closely with the volunteer service team who provide hospitality support for events at the Aga Khan Centre
• Oversee the cleaning team to ensure the inventory for the kitchens and pantries is stocked and managed daily
• Support the Events Operations Manager in all their duties as required
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Events Operations Manager & Buildings Manager
• Deputise for the Events Operations Manager in his/her absence

The Development and Advocacy Department are looking to appoint an interim Development Assistant on a part-time basis. The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Onboarding Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in welcoming and guiding new groups to join the FareShare Go programme. This role will be the main point of contact for new charities during their first 6 weeks, ensuring they are set up for success through account setup, food safety compliance, scheduling logistics, and ongoing support. As an Onboarding Co-ordinator, you will be allocated to manage the onboarding needs across a specific geographical area; you will need to grow your awareness and understanding of this area quickly; whilst also adapting to local contexts and operational variations.
Main areas of responsibility

Relationship Building: Serve as the first point of contact for new groups, fostering trust and ensuring a positive onboarding experience that reflects the unique needs of their area.

Account Setup: Assist groups with setting up their collection accounts, ensuring all necessary information is completed and systems are accessible.

System training: Assist groups in understanding the various donation platforms available to them to ensure successful collections

Food Safety Checks: Guide groups through initial food safety requirements, checklists, and verifications to ensure compliance before their first collection.

Scheduling Collections: Coordinate and confirm collection schedules, including pickup days, times, and logistics tailored to the group’s capacity and location.

Regional Onboarding Oversight: Manage the onboarding of new groups across a defined geographical area or multiple regions, adjusting processes to suit local requirements and regional operational nuances.
Essential Criteria

Indepth understanding of the FareShare Go programme and working closely with charities to deliver a service that meets their needs.

Sound understanding of the FareShare Go onboarding requirements for charities, whilst also understanding regional distinctions and complex schedules

Experience in following FareShare Go’s escalation procedures and communicating with external stakeholders

Experience in customer service, specifically with issue resolution around store performance with charity donations.

Experience ensuring organization compliance with FareShare Go policies and procedures

Familiarity with food safety protocols and being confident in explaining key requirements to charities

The Role
What will I be doing?
Working for our Strategic Implementation Manager the focus will be on supporting our affiliated schools and the broader physics teaching community. These priorities could change as our work programme evolves. Initial key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing project support and coordination for projects across the department working in tandem with the Strategic Implementation Manager.
- Contact and communications administration for our Professional Community of Teaching, including through Salesforce.

Projects you work on may include:

- Supporting the coordination of the IOP Teacher Awards scheme.
Who will I work with?
You will be line managed by the Strategic Implementation Manager and support the Manager Education Community in the delivery of their projects.

About the role:
These roles are home-based but there may be a need to travel around the region on occasion.
As a Service Delivery Assistant you will:
- Provide high quality administrative support to the team and service.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it’s harming too many lives. At Prostate Cancer UK, one of our top priorities is funding research that leads to real change. It’s vital we do our best to make sure this research makes a meaningful difference to men’s lives, and that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Research Officer to help us deliver our funding schemes and patient and public involvement work. This role sits in the Research Funding Team and will provide us with additional support during an exciting time while we implement a new grants management system. You’ll work across all our grant funding schemes, ensuring we are following best practise in research funding.
You’ll take responsibility for a small portfolio of active research grants, providing support and guidance to the researchers leading them. You’ll be a main point of contact for grant applicants, supporting them as they apply to us and will be responsible for running peer review. Using your understanding of research funding and administration, you’ll help make sure our funding schemes run smoothly and to time. You’ll work with colleagues to support patient and public involvement in research both in our review process and through our Patient Representative Network who help researchers make sure their work is focussed on the needs of men with prostate cancer.
This role is a fixed term to cover an internal secondment for 12 months.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Senior Research Officer who is passionate about research and has a desire to develop knowledge of prostate cancer. You’ll hold a biomedical degree (or a degree in a related subject), or with equivalent experience gained in research funding, administration or the wider research sector.
You’ll already have a good grasp of how grant funding works and, ideally, some experience of research administration and peer review. Confidence in interpreting complex scientific information is important, as you’ll be using this knowledge to find the right people to peer review the grant applications that are submitted to our schemes.
You're also an accurate record keeper with a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills. You're assured and clear in your communication, both written and verbal, and you're able to respond to a wide range of inquiries from researchers while always adhering to data protection and confidentiality best practices. Experience of using Symplectic’s Grant Tracker would be an advantage but is not essential.

At an exciting and key stage in our journey we have the opportunity for an Operations Director to join the Oasis Youth and Community national leadership team supporting local Oasis community charities across the country.
With accountability to the CEO the Operations Director will be responsible for three key areas of work:

The Role
As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme; through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, with an approachable nature who will play a vital role in developing and maintaining charity and food partner relationships, together with raising awareness of FareShare Go across your local area.
The Community Coordinator will work across their designated area, with the following key outcomes:
- Charity recruitment and onboarding. Community Coordinators are responsible for maintaining and increasing the number of charities collecting from food partners in the CC’s area, by generating leads through their local networks and research, working with the Regional Support Team to guide charities through the FareShare Go onboarding process and matching charity needs to available food sources in their local area using the ‘right charity-right store’ principle.
- Charity account management. Community Coordinators manage relations with all the charities in their area, in collaboration with the Fareshare Go Customer Support Team, to ensure the best possible experience for their charities. CCs conduct charity account reviews in person or remotely, with all their charities at least once a year, carry out annual Food Safety Checks and follow up food safety or contract breaches to ensure that the FareShare Go programme delivers the very highest levels of food safety assurance for our food and charity partners.
- Food partner account management. Community Coordinators manage relations with food partner outlets in their area, working closely with the Escalated Customer Support Team to resolve issues between charities and outlets by visiting stores and restaurants to collaboratively fix problems and promote engagement by food partner colleagues. Community Coordinators build and maintain relationships between food partners and local charities by educating colleagues about their charities, promoting volunteering opportunities and maximizing the value of local relationships between charities and food partners.
- Area development. As the territory owners for their areas, Community Coordinators use their local knowledge to increase the volumes and food types that their charity accounts can accept and use, to ultimately maximise the social value of food distributed through the programme. This includes supporting charities to increase their capacity to take more chilled and frozen food, expand their services into new areas or new distribution channels and reach more members of the local community.
- Community marketing and engagement. Community Coordinators are ‘the face of FareShare Go’ in their local areas and promote the programme’s benefits to local voluntary organisations, umbrella groups and zero-waste and food insecurity groups. They work collaboratively with FareShare Regional Centres in their area, researching local activities, presenting at group meetings and educating charities about FareShare Go and the food and other support they can access from our food partners

The Role
The Events Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the effective delivery of HTB's Evangelism & Mobilisation events and programmes, including Sunday Services, Events Christmas, Easter, HTB Alpha, Connect Groups, Teams, Prayer Ministry training, Workplaced and HTB Focus. The Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage project plans, checklists, and updates; support the team in meeting key milestones and deadlines.
• Coordinate the creation and delivery of relevant media, comms and programme content materials for our services and events
• Facilitate clear, timely communication across the department and with other teams
• Coordinate department logistics for offsite events such as Focus and the Leadership Conference.
• Maintain accurate service and events records using church management systems such as ChurchSuite.
• Collaborate with Operations Coordinators, Events Coordinators and Managers across departments as needed.
• Support the mobilisation of the wider congregation by creating opportunities for involvement in department activities.
The Right Candidate
• Proven Coordination Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating projects and operational tasks, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
