Job Title: Housing Support Worker
Location: Based within the central office in Luton with regular travel required around multiple community based locations
Salary: £24,500
Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as necessary to service requirements.
About the role
This is an exciting new role within a brand new contract to support the referral process from the Housing Solutions teams! The service focuses on providing floating and wraparound support to single applicants who are at risk of homelessness and are able to live independently, by providing a housing support plan towards resolving housing needs and support them into long-term, stable housing.
In this role, you will conduct proactive outreach with our participants to develop personalised support plans for housing for appropriate long-term housing options, including accessing private rental listings and understanding application processes for tenancy. You will help our participants navigate the resources available to them including benefits and support services, advocating for their needs whilst empowering them to take ownership of their housing journey. You will work closely with the Landlord Liaison Officer who bridges the gap between our participants and private landlords. You will work closely with them to achieve prevention and relief outcomes by assisting the participant to remain in their provided accommodation.
You will provide follow up support to ensure tenancy sustainment and successful transitions into permanent housing, keeping casefiles up to date with activities and documents, and escalating any high risks or high needs to the management team.

Overall Duties of the Administration Officer will include:

The role
The Digital Media Officer role provides support to Crimestoppers and Crimestoppers’ youth service Fearless, in creating impactful content and campaigns that empower people to speak up about crime.
You will be responsible for filming, creating, and scheduling organic and paid social media content, and as the face of Fearless’ social media platforms, feature in the content yourself. About the role
As a GROW Trainee, you will play an essential role in delivering Shelter’s purpose to defend the right to a safe home in East London. Our GROW Trainee will learn how to provide advice and advocacy to people experiencing the housing emergency and work alongside a team of advisors, solicitors, support workers and managers who work together to give communities easier access to support and advice. The Role
As a Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, tailor the support to the Victims preferences i.e. home visits or via conference calls, explain services and assess the impact of crime.
Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users.
As a Caseworker you will:
- Manage a caseload of self-referred and referred service users, providing information and advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
- Conduct risk and needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support and information.
- Identify barriers to accessing services and work with partners to provide ongoing support.
- Keep accurate and confidential case records.
About You
You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims and experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk and needs assessments would be beneficial.
You will need:

Key Responsibilities:
Café Operations & Leadership

Immediate Support Coordinator (Somerset and Devon)
Reports to: Bereavement Services Manager for England
Salary: Starting at £26,500 per annum
Location: Home working with regular travel throughout the area
Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours over 5 days
Context of Role
Our client supports anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. They provide immediate casework support, as well as ongoing services including counselling, complementary therapies, play therapy, coffee mornings, support events and a respite cottage.
As they continue to expand their services across England the successful candidate will play a central role in the ongoing development of their relationships with stakeholders. Initiative and drive play an integral part of ensuring their professional stakeholders remain engaged and champion their service to those they support. The post holder will provide immediate and ongoing emotional and practical support to families, friends, witnesses and professionals affected by the sudden death of a child or young adult.
Main Duties include:
- To initiate immediate support for a caseload of families whose children and young people aged 0-25 have died suddenly and unexpectedly across the county you reside in and bordering counties.
- Complete an initial assessment of families' needs to identify and plan the support as required in line with safeguarding and risk reduction.
- Offer emotional support and advice to a case load of families through home visits and ongoing weekly telephone calls.
- To liaise with the Counselling Support and Outreach Coordinator, who is responsible for organising formal support such as counselling, complementary therapy or play therapy, subject to consent from the bereaved individual.
- To work with hospital staff, GP’s, police officers, coroner offices, mental health teams and other healthcare professionals to raise awareness of and promote referrals into the charity from the county you reside in and bordering counties.
- To deliver awareness training in hospitals and other healthcare settings, schools and workplaces on the use of the bereavement boxes, the services they offer, how to refer into the charity and bereavement awareness.
- To ensure families have been offered a memory box and coordinate these when required.
- Facilitate debriefs within professional settings following a traumatic or sudden death of a child or young person.
- To work with hospital trusts to establish and maintain the upkeep of suitable bereavement suites for bereaved individuals to use as required.
Experience:
- Experience of working in a health, social care or emergency setting.
- Experience of working with people in distress.
- Experience of working with vulnerable people, including families and/or children.
- Experience of managing a high case load with varying needs.
- Working within a multi-agency and legislative framework.
Knowledge:
- Have a good understanding of bereavement and the effects of grief on bereaved individuals and their families.
