The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is a membership organisation dedicated to supporting our members to improve the standard of medical practice across the fields of radiology and oncology. As the team lead you play a critical role in supporting the high-performing Operations team through day-to-day supervision to meet service-level agreements and deadlines. You’ll ensure the smooth functioning of our membership processes, act as the first point of contact for queries from the team and provide an excellent service to our members, doing your part to contribute to the overall success of the RCR.

What you’ll do:

• Coordinate and deliver the members’ annual renewal processes and manage communications channels and copy.
• Manage the member life cycle and regularly review operational processes, policies and practices, with oversight from the Membership Operations Manager.
• Supervise the Operations Team in line with goals and objectives agreed by the Operations Manager, providing motivation, coaching and direction on a day-to-day basis.
• Be the point of contact to assist and support members of the Operations Team in relation to member escalations and queries.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to manage and plan current and future workload to ensure the team meets deadlines, provides an exceptional service and reaches service level agreements (SLAs).
• Develop comprehensive and presentable reports to support data-led decision making, renewals tracking, KPI targets or to provide insights.
• Management of budget lines assigned to operational activities to ensure favourable terms are achieved.

Job Role:

​We need an exceptional People Team Advisor. This is a key post in supporting the management and staff of the FEC. The Forces Employment Charity to be effective in their roles and provide the very best quality of provision to our external delivery. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the provision of a high-quality People (HR) service to all stakeholders in all employee life cycle in generalist capacity including resource, employee relations, learning & development, and reward, in accordance with the consistent application of charity policies and procedures and compliance with employment law and best practice.
• Produce employment contracts and variation to contracts in line with authorised management requests.

• Manage and Support onboarding processes with People Administrator.

• Work closely with the People and Payroll Department to ensure workforce information is kept up to date, employment changes are notified, and any problems identified and addressed.

• Issue timely and accurate payroll instructions, to meet payroll deadlines by working with People Team in specific Administrator.

• Manage staff sickness and absence in accordance with the sickness absence management policy, notifying team managers of absence thresholds and advising on Company Sick Pay limitations.

• Manage and support the implementation and monitoring of HR processes including pre-employment checks (right to work), Enhanced DBS vetting and MOD security clearance, employment contracts and variations, starters and leavers, induction, mandatory/other training, probationary period review, performance and development review, maternity/paternity/shared parental leave, flexible working requests and the evaluation of training.

• Provide and Support Administrator in the management information reports relating to HR, for example absence data, annual leave allowances, training compliance etc.
• Work with team managers to ensure all information (e.g., jobs descriptions, working hours and patterns, etc.) is consistent and up to date.

• Support Head of People in the development of HR policies, Rewards/Benefits, and other HR related projects, as requested.

• Input, maintenance, and provision of all HR data held within the HR Management System (PeopleHR) ensuring a high degree of accuracy.

• Maintain the People Team cloud-based e-filing system to ensure documents and information are retained and easy to locate.

• Initiate and co-ordinate progress of all mandatory staff training (in accordance with the training matrix) reporting compliance issues to managers.

• Be prepared to support all HR Administrator activities during periods of absence.

• Working alongside People Administrator and supporting the Head of People and site leadership team driving the delivery of the people agenda across the organization.

• Supporting the management team with ER issues and providing generalist support and advice on a variety of cases

About the Role

Humanists International has another separate entity based in the US. This role will be a part of the UK operations team but will collaborate with the US finance team occasionally when it’s required, for example, during the audit period. Both UK and US finance teams are managed by the same Director of Finance and Operations who is based in London. 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can provide excellent finance and administrative support to the small, predominantly home-based team. We’re seeking someone who is personable, highly organised, has attention to detail and is keen to take initiative and learn new skills. Onboarding training will be provided, but we would like you to demonstrate transferable skills. 

You will work on a wide variety of tasks which will include bookkeeping and bank reconciliations, being the first point of contact for the organisation, as well as providing general administrative support to the team. You will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across a diverse international team.

This is a full-time or part-time with a minimum of 4 days/week (0.8 FTE), permanent position, which is predominantly home-based but does require the attendance of in-person events such as the General Assembly and Team Building. You will also be expected to attend a number of board-level meetings held on weekends to take meeting minutes - further details are listed in the Key Responsibilities section.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking charge of the day-to-day financial activities and office administration of the organisation.

• Being the first point of contact of the organisation. Managing office inbox, answering office calls and sorting out the letters.

• Attending online board meetings (four times a year on Saturdays) and investment committee meetings (twice a year on weekdays between 5-7pm) to take meeting minutes. Board meetings normally take 3 hours and investment committee meetings take 45 minutes. These meetings are usually planned 6-8 months in advance.  TOILs will be provided when the meeting is held outside your normal working hours.

• Assisting the CEO with board papers and circulating them to board members before board meetings.

• Arranging flights and accommodations for the CEO and board members to attend in-person meetings when required.

• Arranging meetings for the CEO when required.

• Assisting staff and board members with queries on finance or administrative matters.

Essential Skills

• Accounting, finance, or economics qualification.

• A minimum of two years’ experience in bookkeeping and administration roles. 

• Experience using financial software. e.g. Quickbooks, Xero, Sage or equivalent.

• Understanding of the chart of accounts structure, cash/accrual accounting basis.

• Understanding of the expense claim process.

• Experience preparing the budget. (Not necessarily the whole organisation’s budget, but specific section(s), for example, travel costs and fixed-costs related budget lines would be essential.)

Summary of Role

The Volunteering Team is a collaborative and supportive team sitting within Shelter’s Equity, Inclusion & Culture Directorate. We are passionate about the positive impacts of volunteering for both individuals and causes and believe volunteers are a vital part of Shelter’s Fight for Home.

Shelter involves around 2,000 volunteers in our shops, offices and local communities. The Volunteering Team enable a coordinated and consistent approach to how we involve volunteers across Shelter and Shelter Scotland. We provide the insight, policies and best practice approaches to ensure all our volunteers have a quality volunteering experience.

About the Role

As a Volunteering Administrator, you will be essential to the coordination of the Volunteering Team’s work in developing a consistent, inclusive and high-quality volunteering offer. You’ll be delivering administrative support across the team, enabling smooth delivery of the service. This will include managing our busy Mailboxes, processing elements of volunteer recruitment and administrating our volunteer database, Better Impact. Working on the database forms a large part of this role; as well as routine tasks such as data reporting, you’ll be working on more in-depth database development. This includes leading on a piece of work restructuring the way our database is set up.

You’ll also be supporting volunteer managers through delivering training demonstrations on our database, creating process guides and providing advice. You’ll provide additional admin support across the Volunteering Team, including coordinating meetings and managing agendas. You’ll be a key member of the team with in-depth knowledge and understanding on volunteering processes and policies to promote our volunteering culture across Shelter and Shelter Scotland.

With this role, we can offer the option of completing an apprenticeship in a related subject. This will involve spending approximately 20% of your work time completing education/learning for the duration of the apprenticeship. About you

Having strong administration skills with confident use of databases is essential for this role. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership in processes, including introducing and delivering new ideas, methods or processes. Having a proactive approach and the ability to manage time effectively while working in a fast-paced environment are all important too.

Also important for this role is having excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues across our organisation. Experience of delivering training or presentations is a bonus, but more-so a willingness to develop your skills in this area. About the role:

The post holder will work within The Passage’s Community Services as a Complex Case Outreach Worker and will lead on case management for people experiencing homelessness who are presenting in the footprints in which the team operate and/or who are accessing the Resource Centre. The post-holder will support individuals with substance use support needs and/or mental health issues and will lead on work with clients who are experiencing alcohol and/or drug dependencies and who may also be experiencing mental health problems or other health or social care needs.

Main duties:

• To manage a caseload of clients presenting within the footprints in which the Engagement & Outreach service operate and individuals who are accessing The Passage Resource Centre. To support clients with complex needs, supporting them to identify and work towards recovery and away from homelessness.
• Carry out assessments, case management, support planning and the delivery of interventions for clients including those experiencing mental health and/or substance misuse issues who are multiply-disadvantaged in their homelessness.
• Provide assertive outreach and engagement with street-based service users presenting with complex needs and barriers to engagement. Carry out monthly street-based audits to inform reporting and analysis of service outcomes.
• Support clients who are rough sleeping or involved in day time activity in the footprints in which the team operate to end their homelessness by linking them in with appropriate internal and external support services relevant to their needs. To provide support to clients who are accommodated, but may require ongoing support in order to maintain this accommodation, linking them in to appropriate local services.

General responsibilities:

• In conjunction with your line manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
• To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
• To ensure that all The Passage policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Code of Practice and Confidentiality.

The Senior People Partner’s role is to manage, supervise and support employee relations, employee wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion initiatives, overseeing the employee life cycle. They will also advise and coach the Talent Acquisition and Volunteer team on volunteer related cases using RMG policies.  

Key responsibilities involve managing a direct caseload of complex employee relations cases, including leading on liaison with ACAS, external investigators, and legal advisors, and preparing for and attending Employment Tribunals. Further core objectives include leading the drafting of new/revisions to people policies, consultation and negotiation with relevant stakeholders, and the communication and embedding of new/revised practices across the workforce. The Senior People Partner will further build and maintain effective working relationships with the senior leadership team, acting as an expert strategic adviser on a range of employee relations matters and as a point of escalation for employee relations enquiries emerging from other teams, actively coaching, supporting, and mentoring colleagues to grow team capability and support development. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing an HR case work portfolio, which includes conducting discipline and grievance investigations, hearings and appeals, and ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunals, as well as overseeing attendance and performance management processes. Established success in coaching managers and leaders on various HR matters is essential to this role, empowering them to manage risk, resolve conflict, support their team members to excel at work, and foster cohesion and trust within a hybrid workforce. The postholder will have experience and interest in managing employee wellbeing and diversity and inclusion initiatives; be CIPD qualified; have excellent and adaptable organisation, communication and interpersonal skills; and will enjoy working with a variety of people, with a strong ability to listen effectively.

This is a full-time, permanent role in Band 4 – Senior Management and Senior Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 per week, working 5 days between the hours of 9am-5pm, although due to the nature of the work, some flexibility may be required.

You will be working with children and families to provide trauma informed support with the aim of reducing trauma symptoms and rebuild relationships.

You will receive support and training and a competitive starting salary of £20,000 for a 28 hour week. Reduced hours may be possible by agreement. This is a two-year fixed term post with the possibility of becoming permanent after two years.

We are looking for someone who will work with professionalism, empathy and kindness, have knowledge of working with children and families who have experienced trauma due to abuse and have a trauma informed, child focused approach. Experience of working with complex family situations where there are safeguarding concerns with the ability to assess risk is required.
