About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Estates Manager in our Estates team, working with a range of stakeholders and people who use our services. We are looking for an outstanding individual who has experience in the day-to-day management of our buildings and infrastructure and an ability to manage a dynamic and proactive, forward-looking maintenance environment, including reactive maintenance, water safety, fire safety, and statutory testing. and practical knowledge of CAFM systems and Microsoft systems.

You will also lead on health and safety, ensuring robust compliance, risk management, and safe systems of work across all estate and contractor activities.

About you

You will need:

• Strong technical knowledge of building services, maintenance, and statutory compliance.
• Proven experience managing contractors and planned maintenance programmes in a healthcare or similar environment.
• Confidence using digital systems, including CAFM, Microsoft 365, and data reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate staff and engage clinical teams.
• A sound understanding of health and safety legislation and the ability to promote a positive safety culture.
• An understanding of hospice care or other healthcare or not-for-profit environments

• Experience of managing a diverse and experienced team, ideally remotely
• Experience of group work and/or delivery of training
• Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation including the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Fostering regulations
• Ability to prioritise, plan and self-organise efficiently

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. Our Triage Team act as the front door into our service working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide triage and early intervention support to individuals of all ages and risk levels affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking, including those with harmful behaviours.

This varied and rewarding role involves providing trauma responsive support to our service users as well as advice and support to partner agencies through our dedicated duty line. Our duty line operates Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm and allows for service users and professionals to get a quick response from our service.

Key Responsibilities

Working with Vulnerable People and Risk Management

• Provide a trauma-responsive service to individuals of all ages and risk levels who have been affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking including those with harmful behaviors.
• Demonstrate specialist knowledge of domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking and behaviour change including the associated risks to victims, perpetrators, and the wider family unit.
• Offer advice, guidance, and emotional and practical support to individuals of all ages and risk levels affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking.
• Support those who harm abuse by providing information, guidance, and risk assessments using specialist tools.
• Assess, manage, review risks to service users, using tools such as the DASH risk assessment, SOAG and RIC. Providing risk reduction and safety planning advice.
• Respond to emergencies and crisis situations, including suicidal ideation and the need to access a place of safety.
• Make safeguarding referrals to appropriate agencies including Children’s Social Care, Adult Social Care, mental health crisis teams, and MARAC.
• Work sensitively with service users to share and explain MARAC outcomes and other safeguarding decisions.
• Manage and support service users via telephone of all risk levels in line with service values.
• Safeguard the health and welfare of service users and their families at all times.

Team and Multi-Agency Working

• To be the advisory point of contact for colleagues across all areas of our support offer.
• Offer professional advice and support to multi-agency partners and stakeholders.
• Work closely with statutory and voluntary agencies to enhance safety, support and safeguarding.
• Make referrals to and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies.
• Feedback information related to service users’ needs, risk concerns, and trends to the appropriate team manager.
• Support effective team operations with a proactive, flexible approach, including covering for staff absences.

Administrative and Operational Duties

• Provide a responsive support service with high-quality customer care.
• Answer telephone calls, respond to voicemails and referrals, and carry out triage, assessments and action as appropriate.

The Torbay Health and Wellbeing Voluntary Sector Network in Torbay is recruiting a full-time Manager to oversee the Torbay Community Helpline.

This post will be based in the local voluntary sector infrastructure organisation - Torbay Communities, hosts of the Community Helpline.  

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead this nationally recognised and acclaimed innovation. Torbay’s Community Helpline was established during the Covid pandemic and has since been developed by the local community into a central access point to the voluntary and community sector as a whole. Since 2021, it has also been the front door for new Adult Social Care referrals in the area through a unique partnership with the local statutory sector. Providing the best possible support to local residents the Helpline’s strapline ‘One Call – That’s All’ sums up the holistic approach. Individuals and families can access a wide range of support from food parcels to mental health support, help with isolation to debt advice etc. The Helpline links into over 100 voluntary sector organisations locally and into grassroots networks of residents offering support to each other. The Helpline has a strengths-based approach to its operations, with callers often helping others after they have received some support.

We are looking for someone who can lead this initiative into the next phase. Someone with the relevant experience who can identify the Helpline’s potential and - working with staff, volunteers, voluntary sector and statutory sector partners - deliver excellent support to our residents and develop the Helpline to meet future needs.

Hall Hire and Event Co-ordination

• Be the first point of contact for hall hire enquiries and manage all related admin.

• Oversee stocks, supplies, and space organisation for events.

• Lead setup and breakdown for lectures and venue lettings.

• Arrange and manage bookings for external event venues, handling all logistics.

• Organise catering for special events and meetings both at Barnard’s Inn and other venues.

• Be responsible for excellent customer care of existing and new venue hire clients.

• Organise all activity around venue hire events, including collaborating with the AV team

• Liaise and support the Head of Fundraising & Engagement over the promotion of Barnards’ Inn to increase income generation from lettings.

Other

• Working with volunteers to enable them to assist in the delivery of tasks as appropriate.

• Attend and contribute to team and staff meetings as required.

• Participate in ongoing training and development.

• Undertake other tasks as required to support the College.

• Evening and occasional out-of-hours work required (with time off in lieu).

Person specification:

Essential Skills & Experience

• Customer Service Excellence: Proven experience delivering high-quality customer care, ideally in a fundraising, or educational setting. Ability to handle enquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
• CRM and Data Management: Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (we use Beacon) including data entry, segmentation, and reporting. Experience with data imports/exports and maintaining data accuracy.
• Event Coordination: Experience planning and delivering events, including logistics, venue liaison, catering, and AV coordination. Comfortable acting as Duty Manager and supporting evening lectures and events.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage supporters, respond to enquiries, and write engaging responses.
• Digital Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Eventbrite, and online giving platforms. Comfortable using digital tools to manage bookings, communications, and supporter journeys.
• Organisational Skills: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively across departments and with volunteers. Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience in a fundraising or engagement role within a charity, or educational organisation.
• Compliance & Data Protection: Understanding of GDPR, data protection, and Gift Aid regulations. Commitment to ethical and legal standards in supporter care and data handling.
• Familiarity with data segmentation.
• Experience promoting venue hire or income-generating activities.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting for events.
• Experience working with volunteers or managing volunteer tasks.

As Head of Media and Public Affairs you will lead, plan, develop and implement effective media and public affairs strategies to actively promote the RCPCH and its priorities for maximum influence and impact.

The Head of Media and Public Affairs is an important leadership role at the College. You will work closely with journalists and media organisations to champion the College in the media as well as securing political support for our policy messages, through stakeholder relationships within the UK Government, Whitehall and the Westminster Parliament.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Policy & External Affairs, you will manage, direct and motivate the team to successfully achieve performance goals. You will play a pivotal role in driving the College’s Westminster public affairs work to secure our advocacy goals and you will also manage the out-of-hours media rota, being flexible to be on-call to media as required. You will also take responsibility for preparing and monitoring the Media and Public Affairs team budget, ensuring that all operational expenditure is value for money.

Degree educated or with relevant professional experience you will have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing proactive media and public affairs strategies and a strong track record in leading, planning, implementing and evaluating integrated communications strategies.

With proven leadership and performance management skills, you should also have a background of working with and influencing senior managers and have proven stakeholder management skills, being able to develop and nurture high level contacts in media and government.

Experience of briefing senior staff to act as spokespeople through the media and in direct engagement with political stakeholders is essential. Direct experience of working within an organisation that delivers health or children’s services would be desirable. 

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We are looking for a Research and Operations Manager to join our passionate fundraising team. You will play a pivotal role in driving high-value fundraising outcomes across Rethink Mental Illness and Mental Health UK by delivering a strategic, insight-led approach to prospect research and portfolio management.

Managing the Senior Philanthropy and Research Officer you will oversee the identification, qualification and prioritisation of prospects across Philanthropy, Trusts & Grants and Corporate Partnerships. You will lead on due diligence processes, prospect pipeline management, connection mapping and the development of systems and tools that enable data-driven decision-making. Working closely with senior fundraisers and the Interim Head of Trusts and Philanthropy, you will ensure teams have the intelligence and insights needed to build strong, meaningful donor relationships.

Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership (SHWP) is seeking to appoint a part time Community Builder to work with residents and stakeholders in the more rural Stour areas to foster partnership working, connect and strengthen local communities and to reduce social and rural isolation. By really listening to local people, the post holder will help local communities to identify the challenges faced and what residents want and support them in creating new initiatives or enhancing existing ones to meet these needs. The aim is to improve links between services, existing groups, new initiatives and the community to increase community health and wellbeing. We are looking to appoint a skilled relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of rural challenges to connect, coordinate and support initiatives. Experience of managing projects and measuring their impact is desirable.

The Finance and Officer Administrator role is an integral part of Buttle UK, working across teams – grants development, fundraising and marketing along with the finance and operations team to support the delivery of our work. We are looking for someone with good experience of working in a growing organisation who is able to build good working relationships with colleagues and manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge of basic financial principles and previous experience of working within finance and administrative roles will be helpful. As well as good communication skills both verbal and written, the candidate will be flexible in the way they work and take the initiative when needed. They will also demonstrate a willingness to learn and interest in the UK voluntary sector.

This role will be a key part of the finance and operations team and contribute to the team’s objectives.
