About KLS’ Future Foundations education team
Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school.
Key Objectives for this Role
Working with the Lead Youth Worker you will:
Homework Clubs
•Collect up to date consent information for all young people joining Future Foundations
•Support with creating session plans for club nights
•Research and source necessary resources activities
•Support to plan and run engaging and fun activities/ongoing projects for the young people
•Use participatory methods to involve young people about Clubs
•Ensure children’s participation and encourage ownership of and responsibility for the Clubs
•Implement our behaviour management policy
•Liaise with families/carers to communicate information regarding Clubs and Mentoring
•Support with maintaining robust recording and monitoring systems (including registers) and ensure quotes, case studies and feedback are saved and stored
•Maintain, collect, edit and store documentation of activities, including photos, case studies and videos, for Newsletters, funding reports and other records
•Maintain excellent safeguarding practices
•Support whole team with making referrals to external partners and support agencies
•Support the Lead Youth Worker with running a weekly Youth Club for post-16 young people
•Support mentor coordinator with running early years mentoring sessions, when needed
•Work evenings and varied working hours
Trips and activities
•Work with the Lead Youth Worker and Community Learning Coordinator to develop an annual programme of activity and trips during school holidays
•Ensure that this is done in collaboration with our children, young people, their families and other KLS projects
•Assist with the summer programme development, organisation and delivery
Teamwork and reporting
•Work with Future Foundations team members to coordinate work, refer young people and/or parents/carers to our casework and advice team.
•Contribute to reports for trustees and funders and attend periodic meetings with funders
•Communicate well with other teams within KLS to provide a high-quality service to our members

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and Resident Care

Safety and Security
· Ensure resident safety by implementing visitor procedures and preventing unauthorised access.
· Conduct health and safety checks and patrols around the building and exterior.
· Monitor CCTV, address antisocial behaviour, and complete relevant reports
· Report repairs and any health and safety issues
Incident and Emergency Procedures
Night staff must be familiar with emergency protocols, including fire safety, evacuation, and business continuity plans, ensuring resident safety and compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
Administrative Duties
· Update INFORM with relevant details of all resident interactions during shifts.
· Maintain accurate and comprehensive resident records to professional standards.
· Encourage residents to pay rent and ensure rent accounts are managed effectively.
Housing Management and Property Standards

Main duties
Fundraising CRM Project Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end project to replace the current CRM system, including an audit of existing data, research into CRM options, supplier selection and full onboarding and implementation.
- Manage and maintain the current Salesforce system during the review period, ensuring it remains functional, accurate, and fit for purpose while supporting the transition process.
- Act as the day-to-day lead for the CRM system within the Fundraising and Communications team, ensuring it meets team needs and supports strategic goals.
CRM and Data Management
- Maintain and improve the quality of supporter data through regular cleansing, deduplication, and tagging to ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance.

About the Role
As Team Leader, you will be directly involved in managing a 4 bed specialist short stay Home and looking after children aged 12 to 18 years old with complex needs; including Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Mental Health Disorders, Substance Dependencies and Learning Disabilities.
Whether shift leading or joining in with daily activities, you will also share in the leadership of the team, helping to develop staff by modelling high standards of professionalism.

Through our Access & Participation Plan 2025–2029, we have made ambitious commitments to expand of this work to improve young people’s educational outcomes and address challenges to university access and broader inequalities.
We work to address local barriers to education such as mental health, pathways to citizenship, access to English language provision and issues around employment and fair wages. We do this through our partnership with South London Citizens. This role leads on the development and delivery of community organising initiatives and supports the wider integration of these methods across King’s. Through community organising, the role empowers school leaders, young people and parents to design, launch and sustain impactful campaigns. The post holder will work closely with Citizens UK organisers and colleagues across King’s to build strong partnerships and drive meaningful change, including engagement in broader, high profile local, regional and national initiatives.
The postholder will use community organising methodology to lead and expand our core community organising programmes which are currently, Parent Power South London, Empoderando Familias (in partnership with Citizens UK) and Empower ESOL. A key focus will be driving the strategic growth of our flagship Parent Power programme into new regions in collaboration with The Brilliant Club, where we have a commitment to support the launch of a new chapter each year through to 2028/29. As well as being the key link between the Operations team and the Research and Communication teams, they will need to be able to work well with the wider organisation and provide excellent customer service to a variety of stakeholders globally. A key focus of the role will be to ensure data accuracy across a variety of platforms, drafting and coordinating centralised communications with Operators, and support reporting on the activities of the Operations team. Key responsibilities:
Communications:
