The Children's Society has a vacancy for a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner within our Rise Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in Newcastle & Gateshead. The Rise service, offers evidence-based individual and group interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, as well as supporting settings to develop their whole school/college approach to mental health.
Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWP) are a new role developed by NHSE as part of CYP-IAPT workforce development, and a new addition to our Rise service.
We are seeking an EMHP-trained Senior Wellbeing Practitioner with:
-3+ years post-qualification experience as an Education Mental Health Practitioner.
-BABCP/BPS recognised supervision qualification relevant to the low-intensity workforce.
-Experience in delivering clinical caseload and clinical skills supervision to low-intensity practitioners (trainee and qualified EMHP & CWP).
-Skills in managing various duties associated with the role, including line management responsibilities, delivering supervision, and holding a small caseload.
-Ability to support the management team and clinical lead with strategic service development.

About you

Using customer, market and financial data and insight you can make decisions to drive long term growth.
A strategic thinker with expertise managing commercial projects who can achieve objectives through analytical insights. You are agile and responsive to both internal and external factors with a knowledge of new and emerging technologies and trends in the events fundraising space. You also have the ability to interpret customer, market and financial data and insight to inform recommendations.
An excellent communicator and project manager, comfortable with juggling multiple, often conflicting priorities you'll work in matrix style across two key areas of the team.
Working arrangements
This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.
At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on hybrid contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average.
This position involves travel throughout the UK and occasional weekend working for event delivery (approximately 5 weekends per year). Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be provided for weekend work.

Princess Alice Hospice is one of the top ten adult hospices in the UK, providing specialist palliative care and support to a community of more than a million people living in Surrey, South West London and Middlesex.
The Night Response Team (NR) provides specialist on call palliative nursing care between the hours of 22.00 and 08.00, 7 days a week for palliative care patients known to Princess Alice Hospice.
The Team also provides nursing care and assistance to palliative and general patients who are referred from the district nursing service, the OOH’s service (111), local ambulance services SECAMB and LAS, Mole Valley Telecare and Tunstall Community Alarm services. This includes palliative patients who are not known to PAH. Night Response visit patients in their own homes as well as in care and residential homes.
A Night Response shift will be covered by two members of staff per night, usually one RN and an SHCA, occasionally two RN’s.
We are based in an office on the in-patient unit at the Hospice. We receive calls, provide information, support and advice to patients, families, and other health care professionals, whilst visiting patients as required throughout the night.
The Night Response Service brings the skills and expertise of our highly trained and dedicated specialist team directly into the patients homes. This allows patients, their families and carers access to the vital support they need at home, when time matters most, providing the opportunity for patients to remain at home and reducing the need for hospital admissions.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced, proactive, dynamic and versatile Staff Nurse with excellent interpersonal, communication and telephone triage skills, to join our Night Response Team.
Experience in caring for patients who are terminally ill is essential. You will need to be able to work autonomously and have an excellent understanding of care provision in the community and be involved in auditing the service provided.
You will need a full driving license with a maximum of 6 points for use of the hospice vehicle (automatic)

About you:

In this role, you will help the team to deliver key media moments as well as supporting on engaging our celebrity supporters with our work. You will keep the team running smoothly by ensuring our processes and systems are running effectively and are up to date.

- Maintain and update contact and pitch lists for journalists
- Using our media monitoring system, produce monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
- Compile a daily summary of news coverage for the wider organisation.

- General support on key media moments, including background research, writing press releases, assisting with planning and logistics at events and stunts, media outreach.

Requirements
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Calm, approachable and open disposition.
- Proven experience of working in an administrative capacity preferably in a busy office environment.
- An interest in digital, social and traditional media, awareness of trends
- Excellent time management. Ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload and work to tight or conflicting deadlines.
- Good communication and listening skills, the ability to network and form effective relationships with a variety of internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential

Our members are central to our past and our future. Formed by carers of people living with a diagnosis of schizophrenia in 1972, our first members laid the foundations for the Charity that exists today, which now helps thousands of people severely affected by mental illness.
Our many thousands of campaigners, supporters and donors, along with our members, give Rethink Mental Illness its mandate. Members are an important source of volunteers for our governance and peer support groups. They help shape the direction of our work through our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the work of the Board of Trustees and other committees. Main Duties

This is a great opportunity to join the unique RCJ Advice - Citizens Advice & Law Centre. We have two court-based offices, at the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand, and at the Central Family Court on High Holborn, although we mainly now provide advice by telephone and can therefore support people who are accessing any court in England and Wales.
