The Role:

• Responsible to the Housing Manager for delivering a high-quality, customer-focused housing service to ex-service personnel and their dependents.
• To provide an effective and responsive housing management service for a patch of Stoll properties, meeting agreed performance outcomes and objectives for key
  areas, including rent arrears, lettings and anti-social behaviour

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact in relation to housing applicants, ensuring that all data is recorded accurately on the housing database, and the waiting list is
  managed efficiently.
• Take part in the Allocations process, working with the other members of the Housing team to ensure that all voids on the patch are efficiently allocated and that let targets are met.
• Undertake viewings, sign-ups and new tenant visits, working in partnership with the Support team to ensure new tenants are aware of their rights and responsibilities and are fully supported through the process in order to successfully sustain their tenancies.
• Investigate and make recommendations on the suitability of applications for transfers and mutual exchanges in accordance with established procedures.
• Carry out void inspections in the absence of the Property Services Manager and, where appropriate, arrange the appropriate void remedial work

Specific Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of lettings and allocations, rent collection and arrears management, repairs and maintenance, tenancy disputes and anti-social behaviour policie and procedures and their application
• Understanding of the legal framework and regulatory context in which Stoll operates and the role of local authorities and Registered Providers in providing housing services
• Experience/knowledge of the issues facing the ex-Service community, especially those Veterans with support needs.
• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent – minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English
• Working knowledge of housing legislation, including tenancy enforcement, debtrecovery, and anti-social behaviour.
• Working knowledge of welfare benefits, especially Housing Benefit.
• Demonstrable commitment to and evidence of continuous professional development and learning

Job Description

The role of Case Worker - Mental Health is an excellent opportunity to provide one-to-one tailored support to young people, working collaboratively as part of a multi-agency team, to ensure the safety of young people, and maximise their outcomes. Tailoring support to each young person's individual needs and circumstances, our case workers work as part of the Home Office-funded County Lines Support and Rescue Service.

Main Duties and Accountabilities

Providing appropriate end to end support, and interventions, to a pre-defined caseload of young people, and their families, who are involved in County Lines activity – young people are referred by means of effective assessment, care planning, and risk management.
Proactively and continually assessing and managing caseload risks, escalating where necessary through internal and external safeguarding procedures, and adapting case management frequency and methodology to reflect individual needs and circumstances.
Ensuring that the diverse needs and aspirations of all groups of service users are considered in service planning and delivery, to enable all service users to fulfil their potential.
Liaising effectively with local partner organisations, and other relevant agencies, to ensure effective referrals, care, risk management, and ease of transition and referral, for young people.

Qualifications

Good ICT skills, with experience of using data recording and data collation systems.
Experience of working with young people and their families, identified as vulnerable or having complex needs, preferably in a community setting.
Experience of inter-agency working, preferably with Children's and Family Services/Youth Justice Services/Youth Services.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support clients with housing, health, substance use, and employment needs. We’re looking for someone resilient, trauma-informed, and relationship-focused. 

Rosebery Avenue, Clerkenwell – 1 x Support Worker 

Rosebery Avenue is a 24/7 Skills and Employment service with 22 self-contained flats. The focus is on helping residents move into training, education, or work. You’ll join a small, dedicated team in a psychologically informed environment, working closely with partners like St Mungo’s Recovery College to deliver tailored support. 

Islington Mental Health Service, Islington – 1 x Support Worker 

This service supports 50 adults with severe and enduring mental health needs across two hostels and two semi-independent projects. You’ll provide person-centred, trauma-informed support to help residents build confidence, develop life skills, and work toward independent living. 

About You 

Above all, you will have a genuine desire to support people to transform their lives. If you have a good understanding of the complex issues faced by homeless people; personal experience of homelessness yourself and some experience of supporting vulnerable people through a process of change, we encourage you to apply.

The Caution includes a referral to CARA, consisting of two domestic abuse awareness raising group workshops designed by Hampton Trust and delivered by TLC: Talk, Listen, Change. The workshops are delivered one month apart to a closed group.

The role
In this role you will partner with another CARA Facilitator and be responsible for delivery of the two CARA workshops on Saturdays. There is no requirement to be available every Saturday, instead we are looking to recruit a pool of facilitators who will be scheduled to deliver CARA cohorts subject to their availability and proximity to the delivery venues. Delivery venues will include those close to public transport routes across Humberside. Facilitators will be required to commit to a minimum delivery of two cohorts (four workshops) per year. There will also be additional hours available to deliver CARA telephone intervention at flexible times across the week.

You will be required to attend core CARA Facilitator Training. Please ensure you are available to attend all the following training dates:  

TBC but expected either:

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (Online, 5.30 – 8.30pm) and Saturday and Sunday (In-person, 9am – 4.30pm) on either the week commencing:

27th October or 3rd November.

You’ll be confident in delivering group work, assessing and managing group dynamics. You’ll have experience in gaining people’s trust and you’ll be confident addressing negative behaviour. We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK. 

We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working with schools, sixth forms and further education colleges, the Head of Education and Content will support them to prepare for the lowering of the voting age to 16 and to engage their students in elections and democratic education.

The post holder will design and adapt resources, practitioner training, events and activities as well as manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the further education and civil society sectors.

Working with the Director and the Head of Programmes, the post holder will:

• Collate, source and design learning resources for school and college teachers to use to support their students to engage in elections and democracy.

• Support, build and manage relationships with schools and colleges.

• Provide teachers and practitioners with training and e-learning around election and democratic education.

• Oversee evaluation and monitoring, producing reports where required. 

The job is based on a 16-month contract, with likely extension (including a 6-month probation period). 

The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team.
