The Development Manager will play a critical role in developing and managing individual fundraising for the Cathedral with a particular focus on engaging and inspiring the Cathedral’s individual supporters, Major Donors and prospects with the work of the Cathedral, developing and implementing robust stewardship activity and undertaking and developing vital prospecting processes to support both priority projects and year round fundraising.

This role will line manage the Development Assistant.

As Development Manager you will:

· Lead on creating and developing the Individual Giving strategy for the Cathedral, in consultation with the Director of Development.

· Deepen relationships with existing supporters by developing and delivering an impactful stewardship framework for individual donors.

· Work in consultation with the marketing team to create inspiring and relevant communication strategy for individual supporters with a focus on impact, to include regular feedback mechanisms to improve stewardship plans and engagement.

· Build the financial resilience of the Cathedral through developing individual prospecting processes, prospect research, and developing qualified prospect pipelines to secure income from individual supporters and major donors. With an initial focus on the Vicars’ Close project and developing in line with future priorities.

· Work with the Director of Development to develop an inspiring range of bespoke cultivation plans for Major Donors.

· Design, deliver and support a range of unique events to inspire supporters and cultivate new relationships, bringing to life the extraordinary work of the Cathedral. Work across the cathedral to integrate fundraising into existing events and programmes.

· Achieve results through persuasive and compelling proposals for Major Donors and creation of robust budgets. Amplify project impact through inspiring reports and personalised engagement opportunities.

· Develop, manage and deliver Wells Cathedral’s individual giving programmes, including Planned Giving, regular inspiring appeals and individual giving opportunities as part of priority projects.

· Strengthen supporter relationships across the organisation, working with the Cathedral leadership team, Chapter and project leads to support engagement with individual donors and Major Donors.

· Develop and implement plans to keep existing donors engaged, with opportunities to increase their level of giving over time and in line with projects and targeted appeals.

· Regularly report progress to the Development Director and Cathedral Chapter on the individual giving income pipeline, supporter engagement, upcoming opportunities, and challenges.

· Keep up to date with trends and good practice and identify opportunities to improve and develop Wells Cathedral’s individual giving.

· Utilise CRM as an effective Relationship Management tool and develop robust prospecting processes.

· As the Cathedral’s Gift in Wills strategy develops, support engagement opportunities for individual supporters and develop appropriate processes to support this area.

· Network and keep abreast of the wider funding landscape and giving trends to inform the strategy.

· Support the team through additional duties as reasonably required to assist the smooth and efficient running of the Development Team and maximise the impact of the fundraising function. Some weekend and out of hours working may be required.

PURPOSE OF THE POST

About the role

Reporting in to the Financial Planning & Analysis Lead, the Payroll Manager is a key role within our Finance team responsible for managing all aspects of Christian Aid's Global payroll function ensuring full compliance with relevant national and international legislation regarding salaries, income tax, pensions, national insurance and equivalent schemes (UK and overseas) requiring completeness and accuracy in all aspects to meet organisational needs.

The main areas of responsibility for the post-holder will be:

-Ensure process and systems are in place to facilitate payment for all Christian Aid and contract employees are accurate, on time, in compliance with all local (i.e. both UK and non-UK) legislation on tax and other deductions, and in accordance with Christian Aid employment policies and procedures.

-Monthly payroll reports prepared in a timely manner to support the payroll sign off process with a commitment to high quality work

-Relationship with the Payroll administrators is effectively managed promoting the exchange of ideas, empowering and maximising impact.

-Pension schemes are managed efficiently and effectively, ensuring that all statutory and administrative deadlines are met and aligned with organisational values and goals.

-Salary budgets and payroll management information is maintained and accurate and all ledger and control accounts are reconciled.

-Salary sacrifice and other benefit schemes are created and maintained according to HMRC regulations, and all statutory requirements are met.

About you

Essential:

-Professional payroll qualification (MCIPP or equivalent).

-Proven track record in managing a highly effective payroll.

-Substantial experience in the use of one or more financial accounting packages.

-Highly developed technical skills ensuring detail and precision, and highly accurate numeracy skills.

-Advanced technical skills to the level required to be the system administrator for the computerised payroll system.

-High developed communication skills to advise and guide on technical issues and queries.

Desirable:

-Qualified accountant.

Job Purpose

As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting and growing Jessie May’s corporate income. You’ll nurture existing partnerships while developing and managing a robust pipeline of new prospects, in line with our wider fundraising and organisational strategy.

Your work will involve creating tailored stewardship journeys, compelling proposals, and clear impact reports that build strong, lasting relationships and deliver a sustainable income stream.

You’ll identify, build, and secure high-value partnerships across a range of opportunities from strategic partnerships and employee fundraising, to cause related marketing opportunities, events, and Gifts in Kind.

You’ll know how to create mutually beneficial partnerships that meet our corporate partners’ goals while delivering meaningful impact for the children and families we support.

Main Responsibilities

Relationship Management and Stewardship

• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, building strong, strategic relationships and delivering high-level stewardship to encourage ongoing support and long-term sustainability.
• Plan, manage, and deliver corporate cultivation and stewardship events, visits, and meetings with existing supporters and new prospects, while developing a corporate partnerships calendar of activities to enhance and grow relationships
• Identify key senior contacts within each partnership and drive stakeholder engagement, leveraging internal relationships to deepen commitment across all levels of the organisation.
• Ensure all corporate relationships comply with the Fundraising Regulator and internal due diligence requirements, and that all partnership activity aligns with Jessie May’s brand and values.

Pipeline Development

• Research, identify and cultivate new corporate partnership opportunities through proactive and strategic pipeline management.
• Secure new multi-year corporate and charity of the year partnerships through strong prospect research, tailored proposals, and confident pitching.
• Research, evaluate and develop new corporate fundraising opportunities including strategic partnerships, Charity of the Year partnerships, commercial partnerships, payroll giving, cash or gift in-kind donations, sponsorship and pro-bono opportunities.
• Represent Jessie May at networking and events to promote our work and develop new leads.

Other Responsibilities

• As directed by the Head Fundraising and Communications, deliver regular activity and income reports, and participate in the budgeting and reforecasting of corporate income.
• Represent Jessie May at fundraising events, including weekends and out-of-hours. 
• Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, ensuring all activities align with best practices and compliance standards.

Terms & Conditions and Employee Benefits

Conditions, including but not limited to the following:

• Checks: The appointment is subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and a probationary period of six months. 
• Salary:  £33,739 - £37,241 depending on experience.  Salaries are reviewed annually, at the discretion of the Trustees, where the budget allows, with any increases effective from April. 
• Pension: There is a group personal pension scheme that you are entitled to participate in, subject to the rules of the scheme.  You will be automatically enrolled into the scheme, however there is the option to opt out.  The employer’s contribution is 5 per cent while the employee’s contribution is 4 per cent of the pensionable salary.

We’re building a Transport Solutions Team that can work flexibly across all the tools in our delivery kit – from grants and innovation pilots to research, partnerships, and commercial interventions. This includes a growing portfolio of projects tackling key challenges like inclusive EV charging, complex community transport funding opportunities, and large-scale research such as the National Centre for Accessible Transport.

This role works within a dedicated team to assess grant applications from charities and organisations applying to the Motability Foundation for grant-funding to support their work in the disability transport sector.

What you will be doing:

• Manage grant delivery, including assessment, due diligence, contracting, monitoring, and closure, across our funding rounds.  
• Engage with all levels of applicant and grantee organisations to understand their work, assess their proposals, and provide support and challenge to strengthen delivery and outcomes. 
• Undertake financial, reputational, governance, and operational due diligence in line with our policies and risk appetite. 
• Produce high quality assessments of applications for review by our grant panels, including award recommendations.

Your experience:

• Experience in writing a variety of styles including academic, reports, and impact.
• Demonstrable ability to prioritise when faced with a continuous flow of applications and variable work load.

About the role:

This role is based in Ashford, Kent and is offered on a hybrid basis, working from home, the office and also requires regular travel travel across Kent and Medway.

As the Operations Manager for our Community Team you will be responsible for the daily activities of a diverse group of staff working with people who have experienced different crime types, reporting to the Area Manager.

Volunteers are the backbone of our operation at FareShare South West (FSSW). We have over 350 volunteers from a myriad of backgrounds, who make up 90% of our team. The volunteers help with every aspect of the operation, from driving vans, picking orders, to administrative duties. • Work with the Communications and Volunteering teams to actively promote the volunteer programme across Bristol

2wish Cymru and 2wish:

2wish has been established since 2012 and has since grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.

We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.

We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage. In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we expanded into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Context of role:

The Immediate Support and Debrief Manager will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of our specialist immediate support service for families, professionals and individuals affected by sudden bereavement. You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are trauma-informed, responsive and delivered to a consistently high standard supporting the complex and individual needs of those who have experienced profound loss.

This role will oversee the existing immediate support service delivered across Wales and the expansion phases across England. You will manage a team of fifteen individuals who are a mixture of full and part time roles. This is a unique and hugely rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of suddenly bereaved individuals across our communities.

You will work closely with the Children and Young People Service Manager and the Therapies Assessor and Service Manager to provide a holistic, joined up service to all who access our service.

Main duties:

• To oversee the database of 2wish Champions within hospitals and police forces across Wales and the two phases of England

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative ESOL consultant to join our team and lead on the curriculum development and delivery of our ESOL for Work courses. ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) is a core strand of our community education offer. Each year, we support over 200 learners to improve their English, build confidence, and engage more fully in community life. Many of our learners face significant barriers to mainstream education, particularly those juggling low-paid, insecure employment. In 2023, in partnership with The Bell Foundation, we launched a three-year research and delivery programme focused on improving access to ESOL for people in work. The project aims to better understand the structural and practical barriers faced by working learners, and to codesign inclusive, flexible models of delivery that can influence and shape future ESOL provision across the UK.

Now in its second year, the programme is expanding. We are developing new partnerships with employers in sectors such as hospitality, construction, and health and social care, and growing our flexible ESOL-for-work pilot offers. Through these pilots, you will also play an essential role in helping us to generate new insights and learning about what works and why.

Park Cancer Charity’s busy charity team. Our Operations Assistant will play a vital
part in our team and help us to deliver our vision: a better life for those living with,
and beyond, cancer in our region. If you are interested in progressing your career

About you:
 You will be a forward thinking, team player with a ‘can do’ attitude & part of a
fast-paced charity team.
 You will have excellent communication skills (both written and oral).

 Able to manage your own workload and priorities to agreed deadlines.
Participate in and contribute to team meetings.
 Co-operate and liaise with colleagues, working in a professional manner at all
times.
 Act as an ambassador for Weston Park Cancer Charity, reflecting the
objectives and values, and to always work in the best interests of the charity.
 Support and encourage harmonious internal and external working
relationships.
 Make a positive contribution to volunteer involvement in delivering the
charity’s strategy and raising the profile of Weston Park Cancer Charity.
