Services Marketing and Communications Officer

Salary: starting at £24,724 FTE per annum to £26,370* FTE per annum

Additionally, £480 home-based allowance FTE per annum, Grade 2, point 16-18

The Services Marketing and Communications Officer is responsible for developing and delivering marketing and communications plans to support specific service KPI’s and objectives.

The successful candidate will be a marketing and communications all-rounder, with a working understanding of brand, marketing, communications, media relations, PR and social media relating to services, and able to work with marcomms colleagues to support services through these channels.

Main Responsibilities:

· Develop and deliver bespoke marketing and communications plans and activities specific to particular Family Action services and targeted at their audiences (public and professional).

· Develop marketing collateral, press releases, guides/toolkits, adverts, articles for professional magazines, e-bulletins/newsletters, web pages, events, etc.

· Ensure all services marketing activity is brand compliant and aligned to Family Action’s corporate priorities, as well as meeting the needs of the specific service.

· Manage the production of marketing collateral using design tools/software and/or Family Action templates. This will include copywriting, proof reading, image selection.

· Liaison with and management of external suppliers, such as designers and printers, when appropriate. Management of the production process on behalf of the service/s you work for and budget management.

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):

· Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering a range of successful marketing and communications activity across multiple channels and for a variety of stakeholders.

· Experience of working within a corporate visual identity and translating that for multiple uses.

· Experience of materials development, e.g. writing, editing, proofreading, design (including the use of design software).

· Some understanding of website design and delivery, e.g. developing content, navigation, accessibility, SEO.

· Experience of managing external consultants and suppliers, e.g designers, printers.

· Experience of managing projects to be delivered on time and in budget.

· A marketing or design qualification or similar experience, and evidence of a commitment to continuing learning and professional development.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Interest in the charity sector and social impact.

Job description

Are you passionate about patient and public engagement, effecting system change, and improving services? Are you confident to design and carry out research, and tell the story of the findings in briefings and reports?  Do you relish building relationships with external partners, and working together to bring about change? If so, we’d love to work with you to improve the experiences of people using health and social care services in Barnet.

As our Senior Research & Participation Officer, you will be working on an exciting new project to improve primary care access for residents. Your flair for planning and logistics will enable you to both gather evidence about the experiences of Barnet residents, and to collate existing data. You’ll also be comfortable producing accessible how-to guidance, to enable people experiencing health inequalities to access services.

The role will involve building effective relationships with stakeholders including GP Practice Managers, voluntary sector organisations and NHS Integrated Care Board partners. You will work with these stakeholders constructively and persuasively, to seed partnership initiatives and achieve positive change for Barnet residents.

• Organise and manage all governance meetings for the National Society including scheduling, preparing agendas, minute-taking.

Do you want to join an organisation committed to addressing low literacy and numeracy levels amongst people in the criminal justice system?

We’ve made substantial progress as we implement our new strategy, with improvements and expansions to our delivery model and a renewed vision and mission. To support our recent growth, we are recruiting for a new part time Finance Officer to help us effectively manage our day-to-day financial processes and provide financial and administrative support to our growing team of staff and volunteers.

Working closely with colleagues across the charity, your responsibilities will include the processing of purchase invoices and expenses, raising of contract invoices, assisting with budgets and forecasts and supporting our Income Generation team with their finance needs. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to various finance projects and strategic initiatives.

It is essential that you have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, good communication abilities, and a proactive attitude towards assisting with diverse finance tasks. Ideally you will possess a formal accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping. Internal comms (50%)

· Support colleagues from across the organisation to develop communications plans for initiatives and change projects.

· Author or edit stories and content to inspire, motivate and inform our colleagues

The role

As Forward Action’s Partnerships Officer, you’ll support the Partnerships Director to build and maintain strong relationships with our partners, so we can help them achieve change on everything from climate change to refugee rights.

Join Dementia UK as a Governance Officer, where you will provide comprehensive, efficient, and high-quality administrative support for risk, compliance, and governance matters.

As part of the Governance, Compliance and Risk team, you will help ensure a robust governance framework is in place across the Charity. About you: 

You will be a highly motivated individual with experience of working in a growing charity ideally you’ll bring the following skills -

• Knowledge and experience of leading digital acquisition programs  

• Knowledge and experience of email marketing  

• Experience of working towards funding and donor engagement targets and tracking progress  

• Experience in developing, coordinating and implementing regular giving plans, in-memory giving, and stewardship plans for individual givers and major donors.   

• Experience of monitoring and operating within agreed budgets.

Job Title: Programmes Support Officer 

Location:  Remote and UK based, occasional travel to UK sites (Cardiff & London) required. 

Salary: £22,000 pa

Reporting to: Head of Programmes

The Programmes Support Officer post will deliver on a range of database tasks and processes using our grant management and project monitoring database. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the postholder will maintain an accurate and up to date database for the administration and monitoring of grants at Egmont.

The Role  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with up to 3 years of experience in administration which includes administering and monitoring databases. The post will provide the Team with accurate, timely and comprehensive data, reports and minutes to support and enable effective grant making and decision making. The post plays a crucial role in supporting the whole Team in the UK and in Africa with the potential for visiting Egmont Partners and projects in southern & eastern Africa. 

The successful candidate will be highly IT competent, possess good written communication skills and have a positive attitude and strong desire to help meet the objectives of this small but very effective international development charity. A keen eye to detail, a methodical and analytical mind are critical requirements of the role. The ideal candidate will be young self-motivated, capable of working as part of a team and under their own initiative. Strong IT knowledge and experience in MS Office and data administration are essential requirements of the role. 

Flexibility will also be a key attribute. They will be part of a small team who have overlapping responsibilities and support each other in the delivery of Egmont’s strategy. Egmont is a fully remote office environment. As such, candidates from around the UK are invited to apply. We have staff, trustees and other key contacts in Cardiff, London, Lusaka & Harare. Our support staff will need to be flexible and able to work well with a geographically dispersed team.
