No one should feel alone when diagnosed with primary bone cancer. The Bone Cancer Research Trust strives to provide a supportive network for all primary bone cancer patients to limit their feelings of isolation and anxiety. Given the rarity of the disease, patients can often go through their entire treatment and recovery without meeting another patient, so external support is vital.
Over the last 4 years, our Support & Information Service has seen significant growth, and developed to become a leading source of support for patients, family members, siblings and friends of patients. Our Support & Information team provide enduring support and ensure that this can be accessed at any point in a primary bone cancer journey and by anyone affected.
Our aim is to increase the reach of the service further, ensuring that all patients diagnosed in the UK have the opportunity to access our Support & Information Service. The Support & Information Officer will play a pivatol role in achieving this through building lasting relationships with both patients and families and healthcare professionals.
They will assist in all aspects of the Bone Cancer Research Trust's Support & Information Service, including the organisation and delivery of virtual support groups, the administration of the Charity's financial grants, the distribution of information resources and the administration of our digital groups. They will also have the opportunity to lead on the delivery of our regional in-person ‘Get-Togethers’, which bring the primary bone cancer community together to gain peer to peer support.The successful candidate will also play an important role in the continuous development of the Service, ensuring that impact is measured and feedback is acted upon.

The LSO Development department is looking for a knowledgeable and self-motivated individual to join our team as Trusts & Foundations Officer at an exciting time in the LSO’s history. Reporting to the Trusts & Foundations Manager, the role will primarily work within the Trusts and Foundations team to establish and maintain relationships with grant-giving bodies to help meet and grow income targets. These grants support a range of LSO activities, including projects within our pioneering learning and engagement programme, LSO Discovery; our exciting artistic season at the Barbican Centre; international tours; new commissions for the LSO and recordings produced by our record label LSO Live.
About you
Experience in fundraising from trusts, foundations and other grant-giving bodies is essential for this role, alongside strong communication skills, high attention to detail and a passion for creating concise and compelling written copy. An interest in orchestral/classical music is desirable.
The Trusts & Foundations Officer will also support the wider fundraising of the Department, helping to steward current and potential supporters at concerts, special events, and LSO Discovery projects taking place across east London.

About the role
- You'll research trusts and foundations funding opportunities to which IHP can apply.

Liverpool Philharmonic, one of the largest music organizations in England, is seeking an experienced Trust and Foundation Fundraising Manager. In this vital role, you will develop and implement strategies to grow revenue from Trusts and Foundations to support of our pioneering music education, health, and community engagement programs.
As a key member of our development team, you will craft compelling proposals and materials that articulate the profound impact of our work. Your exceptional written skills will be instrumental in raising funds. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan to grow revenue from trusts and foundations, building on the organization's current annual income of approximately £800,000 from these sources.
- Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities aligned with the Liverpool Philharmonic's mission and programs.
- Craft compelling proposals, reports, and other materials that articulate the impact of Liverpool Philharmonic's work and make a persuasive case for support.
- Manage a portfolio of existing and prospective trust and foundation funders, cultivating strong relationships through exemplary stewardship and communication.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Philanthropy and other colleagues to align fundraising efforts and ensure a cohesive donor experience.
- Represent Liverpool Philharmonic with professionalism and passion, serving as an ambassador for the organisation's transformative work through music.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of successful trust and foundation fundraising experience, with a track record of securing significant grants.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for crafting persuasive proposals and materials.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in budget development, financial reporting, and data analysis.
- Genuine enthusiasm for music and an appreciation for Liverpool Philharmonic's artistic and community impact.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Key Information:
- Salary: £33,500 per annum (pro-rata if part-time)
- Employment type: Full or Part time, Permanent
- Hours of work: The contracted hours for this post are 35 hours per week, but part-time work will be considered for the right candidate. Normal office hours are Monday – Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm but working flexibly across evenings and weekends is sometimes required. There is the option to work from home up 2 days per week, depending on the business needs.
- Holidays: 26 days (pro-rata if part-time) plus bank holidays
- Place of Work: The normal place of work is Liverpool Philharmonic Hall with flexibility for some remote working. Working flexibly across evenings and weekends is sometimes required.

The Foundations Officer will work as part of the Partnerships team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts, foundations and corporates. The Foundations Officer plays a pivotal role in advancing BRAC’s mission by stewarding partnerships with philanthropic and corporate foundations and creating new business opportunities to deliver on BRAC’s mission.
