About You
As our Philanthropy Manager (Trusts) you will play a pivotal role in cultivating, nurturing, and growing relationships with Trusts and Foundations. This role involves working collaboratively across Save the Children teams to develop compelling proposals, secure support, and create sustainable partnerships.
You will also be responsible for independently providing expert stewardship and management of a portfolio of donors as well as actively driving new business creating and securing partnerships that create lasting impact for children.
In this role, you will:
- Independently managing a portfolio of existing and new donors through a variety of personalised and creative approaches ensuring excellent stewardship and translating into increased income for Save the Children
- Actively driving new business, working closely with key members of Save the Children's programming teams, the Trusts & Foundations Lead and other colleagues to identify and assess new prospects and to identify the most appropriate and impactful proposition to secure partnerships that create impact for children.
- Developing networks amongst donors and prospects to promote Save the Children's work and grow opportunities for philanthropic gifts.
- Working cross-departmentally to produce high quality written proposals, bids, concept notes and applications for donors.
- Working in collaboration with other colleagues to identify, design and execute new engagement events, opportunities, and products for potential and existing donors.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Experience of working in a fundraising environment or similar experience where comparable skills can be used to work with potential high-level funders and supporters.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships with, engage and influence a wide range of donors, and stakeholders (internal and external)
- Independent worker with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines, and pro-actively identify and pursue new opportunities.
- Project or partnership management skills including reporting, budgeting, meeting deadlines and working across multiple teams.
- Problem solving skills and a flexible, creative and positive approach.
- Strong communication skills – both written and oral – with the ability to develop and deliver compelling propositions and stewardship communications.

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. The Role:
Hospice UK has an exciting new fundraising strategy with a focus on digital fundraising and supporter journeys. We are looking to significantly increase our engagement with new and existing supporters across all areas of fundraising. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will be responsible for maximising income, supporter recruitment and retention through digital channels, for both individual giving and events.
Reporting into the Head of Events & Supporter Engagement and working very closely with the External Affairs team you will deliver a cohesive and impactful approach to digital fundraising and supporter journeys. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will lead on recruitment and stewardship for a number of third-party challenge events as well as supporting on the optimisation of integrated digital campaigns and donor journeys.

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate a background in digital fundraising (1-2 years’ experience) and an understanding of supporter journeys and social media advertising. Some understanding of SEO would be desirable but you would not need to be an expert in this area.

The Team:
The Events and Supporter Engagement team forms part of the wider Income Generation and Grants Directorate. The team’s focus is on raising funds from individuals through challenge and special events, digital fundraising, giving in memory, legacy giving, regular and payroll giving and one off donations.
The team is made up of 5 people (including this role), who work closely together to help achieve our goals. The wider Income Generation and Grants team consists of 20 people in total. We meet regularly through team meetings and coming together in the office on a Tuesday, which helps to create a supportive working environment.

Role purpose:
The Partnerships & Income Operations Manager plays a multifaceted role encompassing driving pipeline prospecting efforts, managing certain impact reporting initiatives, and nurturing corporate partnerships. Corporate Partnerships:

Pipeline Prospecting:

We are currently recruiting for a F2F Fundraising Performance Coach's. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of excellent fundraising results and fundraising compliance standards and specifically the delivery of performance improvements in our F2F fundraisers through coaching, training, and continuous development. The role will also involve direct fundraising where you will be expected to meet a personal target.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for coaching the performance of multiple teams in the region that will consist of lone workers, pairs of fundraisers to bigger teams as the income plan increases.

- Acting as a hands-on fundraiser who leads by example, delivering fundraising income through signing up Friends and generating contactless income whilst demonstrating the Canal & River Trust ‘s values and behaviours.
- Generating income and being present on-site to visit fundraising teams, fundraise with them, cover sickness absence, coach performance, provide training & development of fundraisers, reinforce our culture of health & safety, embed compliance standards.
- Provide phone coaching and in-person coaching of fundraisers to support meeting their targets and KPI’s and in individual cases working with fundraisers to improve their results from their current level of performance to the required standard by equipping them with the technical and psychological training to work to their very best.
- Identify training requirements and deliver on and off field training and coaching to grow income.

- Provision of daily reports of observations and actions taken, areas of success, results for that day and areas of training and development identified.
- Process all sensitive and data protected information obtained by donors as confidential and in a safe and secure manner in line with the Trust’s GDPR and Security Procedures.
- Carrying out Daily Compliance training, Charity conversation, case for support and storytelling practice and Health and Safety training sessions as per directed by the Regional F2F Fundraising Manager.
- Manages feedback and complaints in a professional manner and follows the complaints process and communicates details to Regional F2F Fundraising Manager so it can be addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
- Driver’s License is essential (requirement for Business insurance)
- Performance management and coaching qualifications are desirable.
- Training qualifications are desirable.
- Knowledge and experience of working within the CIOF, Fundraiser regulator code of practice.

This is a newly created role working within our Fundraising & Communication Dept.
Role summary
Working within our fundraising and communications team, you will support the management of our communications portfolio of work. Maintaining our consistent brand, you will lead on digital and print asset development. Role Particulars
Working Pattern: Full time working hours, including weekly in-person team meetings in London: monthly all-staff meetings on Tuesdays twice a month, and weekly on Wednesdays twice a month. It’s an exciting time to join as Young Roots launches a new strategic plan, which envisages development of their services to meet young people’s more complex needs, significant growth in their policy and campaigns team and a step change in their internal operations to reflect their new stage of maturity.
As part of this, the Head of Fundraising and Development will play a pivotal role by developing a fundraising strategy to support the charity’s growth and diversify their income, growing the reach and impact of their communications and ensuring they are able to evidence their impact in a compelling way to different audiences.
As Head of Fundraising and Development, you will:
- act as a proactive and collaborative member of the Senior Leadership Team, supporting the CEO to develop the vision and strategy for the organisation, drive its implementation and make decisions about the running of the organisation, role modelling and embedding our values;
- act as an inspiring and supportive leader for the team, motivating, coaching and overseeing their delivery and development, supporting them to achieve their potential;
- develop and deliver a new ambitious fundraising strategy aligned to out 2024-27 organisational strategy to grow and diversify our funding, setting, monitoring and delivering targets and managing risks as appropriate;
- work with the senior leadership team to set annual budgets and fundraising targets and monitor income and expenditure to ensure funding targets are being met;
- work collaboratively with policy, campaigns and communications colleagues to develop and deliver a new communications strategy to build our profile, deliver income, grow and engage supporters and advance campaigning objectives, setting, monitoring and delivering targets and managing risks as appropriate.
Ideal skills and experience:
- Previous success of developing a fundraising strategy in the charity sector to achieve growth targets across multiple income streams and particularly trusts and foundations, individual giving and corporates.
- Significant experience in a senior fundraising role, with a strong background in trusts and foundations and digital fundraising strategies and campaigns and experience of successfully managing a large number of restricted grants.
- Strategic thinker with an understanding of the interface between communication and influencing and communication and fundraising and a data-driven approach to shaping how we engage different audiences to create mutual value across fundraising and influencing objectives.
- Experience of successfully building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at a senior level, particularly with trusts and foundations and corporates.
- Experience of staff management and development and successfully supporting them to achieve their potential.
