This role will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. Line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

The salary for this position is £28,723 (FTE £35,904) – Manager Level, part time (28 hours – 4 days per week). Main objectives of the role

• Securing funds from a variety of sources to support services offered to families to meet our strategic objectives and the long-term sustainability of the charity.

Main responsibilities for the Fundraising & Membership Officer

Fundraising

• Support the setting of the charity’s fundraising targets through the research and review of both external and internal fundraising activities.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of the charity’s fundraising activities and campaigns.
• Collate the agreed metrics (including income and expenditure) and report on a weekly basis.
• Participate fully in the generation of fundraising ideas and activity selection.
• Design, prepare and implement the agreed activities and campaigns, which are likely to be varied in nature and might include dedicated fundraising events, grant applications to support families in disadvantaged socio-economic groups, and legacy generation.
• Recommend changes and updates to the activities and campaigns based on testing and evidenced data.
• Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of fundraising activities and campaigns, including both income and impact.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with both new and existing individuals and organisations, such as member alumni and grant-making trusts and foundations.
• Lead on stewarding the support of donors, funders, ambassadors and influencers through regular communications and feedback on impact.
• Create and submit monitoring reports to funders that are both timely and of high quality.

Promoting the Charitable Aims of the Charity

• With marketing support as needed, create effective messaging to be shared externally and with existing members to engender a sense of belonging to the high learning potential community, together with an understanding of its rights and its potential positive impact on society, with the aim of creating a desire to support the charity now and on an ongoing basis.
• Work with the Community Information Coordinator to utilise all appropriate opportunities to convey these messages.

Membership

• Design and coordinate an effective system to enhance the membership offer and improve membership renewal and retention.
• Work with the administration and community teams to ensure that the journey from interested party to becoming a member and from member to retained member is compelling and framed coherently and that systems are in place to effectively implement this.
• Work with the Community Information Coordinator on campaigns and strategies to reach new members, engage with existing members and retain existing members.
• Have a thorough understanding of the membership database, collate information and monitor, evaluate and report on all aspects of membership performance.
• Design and coordinate regular market research, including competitor analysis, to identify member/stakeholder needs, to support the rationale for the development of new member/community products and services, and to liaise with and advise other teams in the organisation as appropriate.
• Analyse and interpret marketing and social media performance.
• Identify opportunities for engagement of the membership and the wider community.

SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives. 

Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.

Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.

EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips voluntary community educators to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. Our vision is of our world where communities unite to create the futures they want to see, through education.

Since 2016, through collaborating extensively with over 250 local volunteers, who take a central leadership role in the development of the network, we have supported 50 communities in creating and running community-led and owned education spaces named ‘Spots’, with a strategy to support them in moving towards our ‘Dream Spot Model’. About this role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional, with a proven track record of income generation and a strong ability to develop impactful relationships with the skills to bring aligned individuals and organisations into our long-term EduSpots community. The post holder will be creative, passionate and self-motivated, with strong marketing and communications skills, able to design and implement strategic fundraising approaches. 

In this role, you will take on responsibility for identifying, creating and delivering impactful fundraising strategies that enable us to generate further relationships and income in support of our programmes. 

You will oversee the development of our individual giving and monthly giving strategies and further develop relationships with schools, corporate organisations and NGOs, with a focus on resource acquisition (e.g. books, electronic devices) alongside fundraising. Grants Fundraising Officer (job share)

Hope and Homes for Children is looking for a Funding Coordination Officer (this is the job title used internally for this role), who'll play a key supportive role in the Grants Partnerships team and Marketing, Communications and Fundraising (MCF) department, contributing directly to the Grants team income target as well as supporting fundraisers across the department to access compelling information in support of their fundraising.

We’re recruiting a Fundraising Resource Manager (High Value).  This is a new role to take the lead and manage the operations and resource required to make Blue Cross high-value fundraising thrive! 

More about the role

You will be joining our Philanthropy Team that's responsible for managing relationships with, and securing donations from, mid and major value individuals and trusts & foundations.  The team has recently transitioned to a new team structure with a new set of ambitions and plans, and more formalised support across the organisation, at all levels, to enable the team to deliver.

As part of these changes, a new role of Fundraising Resource Manager (High Value) has been created, to lead on the operation and resource requirements of high value at Blue Cross, including:

• leading on the development of fundraising opportunities and propositions, including the management of funding opportunity information and case for support resource 
• overseeing the delivery of high-quality prospect research and driving pipeline performance through delivery of prospecting plans and lead generation
• providing insight and performance information to help inform strategy, including the management of CRM, financial, and KPI reporting requirements
• operational delivery of team processes and the events and stewardship programme to support effect donor engagement
• management of a Fundraising Resource Officer, building an effective fundraising resource team for the future

The Fundraising Resource Manager (High Value)  role is integral to the delivery of effective fundraising at Blue Cross, and as such is a great opportunity for someone who wants to shape something new and have a tangible impact within the charity, and for the pets and people we help!
 
About you

You will have experience supporting high-value fundraising teams and a curiosity for, as well as a passion for, high-value and relationship-based fundraising. Your approach is bold and brave, and you think creatively about identifying opportunities.

As a strategic thinker, you will be confident taking the lead on the operational requirements of a team, with efficiency and effectiveness at the core of your approach.

You will naturally be able to solve problems through creative thinking; you will know how to demonstrate data and insight analysis and prospect research to direct the performance of a successful major gift fundraising or business intelligence team. 

You will understand the importance of adhering to industry legislation, and work with a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

Experience in some or all of the below:

• funding opportunity portfolio planning and management
• developing supporter orientated propositions and Cases for Support
• identifying and researching high level major gift prospects in support of the successful solicitation of 5 and 6 figure gifts
• developing and maintaining processes for prospect identification, qualification, research, and tracking
• information management and interrogating and analysing data, to draw meaningful insights that support strong fundraising performance
• designing and producing a range of reports, ideally from a CRM as well as offline, to support and drive performance
• improving processes to achieve financial and non-financial objectives
• management of stewardship products/programmes and/or events
• supporting high-value fundraising teams
• line management
• liaising and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders at all levels
• comprehensive understanding of managing personal data in accordance with GDPR, data protection legislation and fundraising ethics
• ability to demonstrate, understanding and apply our Blue Cross values.

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis paying a salary of £35,904 per annum. The position can be either fully remote, hybrid or fully based at their Colchester offices.
The Institutional Trusts and Fundraising Manager will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. The postholder will be line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working in statutory and/or trusts fundraising, including successfully applying for grants in excess of £50,00 to £100,000+. You will have a demonstrable track record of high quality bid writing and production that meet funder requirements.

The Role

You will provide strategic oversight and direction for the institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets and line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target.

Provide the prime bid writing function for institutional funders and Trusts and Foundations.

Work closely with the programmes team, both in the UK and overseas to provide leadership of high-quality bid production.

Research new possible funding opportunities and develop a strong pipeline of potential opportunties.

Manage relationships with key funders and be the lead contact for trust and institutional funders.

Keep up to date with the latest trends in institutional, statutory and trust fundraising.

The Candidate
A natural relationship based fundraiser able to build strong working relationships with inteternal and external stakeholders.

Strong experience of working in statutory and/or trusts fundraising, including successfully applying for grants in excess of £50,000+

Substantial experience interpreting and translating material into compelling content for successful proposals.

Demonstrable strong project and account management abilities.

Confident in the development of budgets to meet proposal requirements.

Strong problem solving ability and confidence to bring in new ideas and drive them forward

Experience of writing and communicating for different mediums and channels and applying writing and branding requirements to reports and documents.
