The opportunity

Education is central to our vision for the future. Our team focuses on equipping young people and their wider school and home communities with knowledge, understanding, skills, values and attitudes that promote sustainable development and care for the world’s people and resources.

The Resource Futures Education Team has worked over the past 17 years in developing and delivering high quality Education for Sustainable Development programmes, specialising in waste issues.

Your role will be part of the education team in Devon who enable schools and young people to develop more sustainable practices and lifestyles, specifically within the areas of waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting. 

Our ideal candidate will live in or around the East Devon / Exeter / Teignbridge area, where the majority of delivery will take place, with some home working. For the successful candidate, there may be an opportunity to expand the number of hours you deliver on a short-term basis, dependent on funding opportunities.

What you will be doing

· Develop and deliver high quality education programmes in schools on the 3Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle - and composting, to include: 

o Leading workshops, assemblies and waste audits.

o Advising school staff (including senior staff, cleaners, caretakers, kitchen staff and other non-teaching staff) on educational and practical waste issues. 

o Support or lead school visits to waste management facilities such as recycling centres and energy from waste (EfW) plants. 

· Recruit schools to the programme and ensure bookings, administration and preparation are undertaken to a high standard. 

· Develop new learning and teaching materials to support the programme, including physical and e-resources. 

· Create and maintain effective relationships with Devon County Council, district councils and other relevant organisations. 

· Assist schools in the practicalities of setting up and maintaining their recycling and composting systems, in liaison with district councils. 

· Work in partnership with Devon County Council to run events, competitions and teacher training courses. 

· Develop effective and supportive relationships with primary, secondary and special schools across the Devon area. 

· Keep accurate records of work, including data on schools visited and waste audit results. 

· Monitor and evaluate the programme, including contribution towards the written annual report. 

· Liaise with other Resource Futures colleagues on project tasks, such as publicity and promotion.

· Contribute to the Recycle Devon and Zone websites, School Sustainability Bulletin and social media where required. 

· Help schools to access resources to write and implement climate action plans.

· Keep abreast of new developments and ideas in education, particularly education for sustainable development. 

· Represent Resource Futures at external meetings. 

· Identify opportunities for business development. 

· Any other tasks as deemed appropriate to this post.

The essentials

· Previous experience working in or with primary schools, or experience or training in a relevant subject or area. 

· Knowledge of education in schools including the National Curriculum. 

· Demonstrable knowledge of sustainable resource and waste management issues and solutions, including composting.

· Demonstrable knowledge of and/or experience in education for sustainable development.

· Experience of monitoring and evaluation processes. 

· Experience of developing learning and teaching materials. 

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills. 

· Great interpersonal skills to motivate others. 

· Ability to work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team. 

· Ability to perform calmly under pressure. 

· Willingness to deliver workshops and activities outdoors as well as indoors. 

· Competent IT user, particularly Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. 

· Current full driving licence with own transport or ability to travel easily in and around Devon. As this role will mainly take you to East Devon, Teignbridge and Exeter (as well as home working), you will need to be within easy commuting distance of these areas. 

· Commitment to education and sharing expertise. 

· Imaginative and resourceful as well as enthusiastic and constructive. 

· Access to a compost bin/heap for some of the workshop delivery.

The role sits within the Legal and Compliance Team as part of the Finance and IT Directorate.  We are looking for a UK qualified lawyer who is who is looking to start working or build experience in the NGO sector and work in a broad, challenging and interesting role as part of a dynamic team.

About the role

As our Legal Counsel you will report to the Head of Legal and support them in providing legal and compliance support to all departments across WaterAid in the UK and work closely with them to provide support on commercial and partnership contracts as well as general legal advice to support WaterAid’s work to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

• Be a point of contact for all legal queries across WaterAid. This includes responding to enquiries from colleagues and proactively identifying legal issues along with any broader organisational risks to ensure appropriate legal advice and provided;
• review and negotiate contracts between WaterAid UK and third parties, in particular commercial contracts, contract for services including consultancy contracts and partnership agreements;
• assist with the drafting, and updating of contract templates;
• contribute to the development of policies and training for colleagues to drive best practice in contract management and value for money
• responding to risk by ensuring contracts are negotiated effectively;
• promoting compliance with legal requirements, including keeping up-to -date with relevant regulatory changes;
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

To be successful, you will need:

• To be a qualified solicitor (English/UK law) 2+ years PQE, with experience of commercial and contract law.
• Excellent drafting skills, with broad experience of drafting a variety of contracts and other legal documents;
• Experience in identifying legal risks and providing pragmatic and balanced solutions, manage expectations; maintain confidentiality at all times and display high ethical standards;
• Ability to build credibility and effective relationships across the organisation and ability to communicate effectively across different cultures and business needs
• Excellent written communication skills, able to convey information clearly and accurately;
• Proactive approach and demonstrable experience of prioritising, delivering and supporting a variety of projects to deadlines and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment;

It would be advantageous to hold or be working towards a CIPD qualification of Level 5 or above.

About the role

As a Housing First Coach you will deliver high quality person-centred support, using psychologically and trauma informed approaches, in line with Housing First principles. You will take a bold approach to establishing open and trusting relationships with people who have had long histories of homelessness or in temporary/insecure accommodation, enabling them to access and sustain accommodation and empower them to exercise choice and control over their lives. The team is multi-disciplinary – Coaches, Peer Support Worker, Clinical Psychologist – which allows us to collaboratively formulate innovative approaches to support. The team operates across London, providing numerous opportunities to build impactful partnerships and contribute towards systems change. 

About you

· To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter, flexible and have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team and with internal and external partners. 

· You may have a background in housing/homelessness support, adult safeguarding, drug or alcohol recovery services or mental health and have significant experience of working within a multidisciplinary setting with the ability to create strong professional relationships and creative solutions. 

· You will have experience of working with people who have faced severe and multiple exclusion and who may be considered to have ‘complex needs’, with an understanding of the needs of people who have been homeless for long periods of time.

· You will be willing and able to provide practical assistance with moving into and maintaining a home – including direct help where necessary with tasks such as shopping, budgeting, cooking, and cleaning. 

· You will also have a knowledge of Housing First and housing led approaches and the ability to work within a psychologically informed approach.

The National Society for Education (NSE) is both an NCI and a Royal-charter charity. It's aims are to support Church schools and the wider education sector by developing leaders, shaping policy and growing faith.

The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. About the Role

We’re looking for a Dual Diagnosis Worker with expertise in mental health and substance use to join our team in Croydon. Based in a residential service, you’ll support residents with mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis. In this role, you’ll use your specialist knowledge to help both residents and the wider team overcome personal challenges. 

You’ll use evidence-based approaches to support recovery, independence, and integration through holistic assessments. As a comorbidity specialist, you’ll guide the team in achieving positive outcomes for residents. Your main duties include:

• Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.
• Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.

We are looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with experience in interventions, and in a similar role. About the role

As a Housing First Coach you will deliver high quality person-centred support, using psychologically and trauma informed approaches, in line with Housing First principles. You will take a bold approach to establishing open and trusting relationships with people who have had long histories of homelessness or in temporary/insecure accommodation, enabling them to access and sustain accommodation and empower them to exercise choice and control over their lives. The team is multi-disciplinary – Coaches, Peer Support Worker, Clinical Psychologist – which allows us to collaboratively formulate innovative approaches to support. About you

· To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter, flexible and have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team and with internal and external partners. 

· You may have a background in housing/homelessness support, adult safeguarding, drug or alcohol recovery services or mental health and have significant experience of working within a multidisciplinary setting with the ability to create strong professional relationships and creative solutions. 

· You will have experience of working with people who have faced severe and multiple exclusion and who may be considered to have ‘complex needs’, with an understanding of the needs of people who have been homeless for long periods of time.

· You will be willing and able to provide practical assistance with moving into and maintaining a home – including direct help where necessary with tasks such as shopping, budgeting, cooking, and cleaning.

Job Purpose 

The weekend Home & Settle Project Officer is responsible for responding to referrals received over the weekend from both Royal London Hospital & Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. You will work with the manager on Friday to deliver services and plan visits on the weekend for you to attend.  

The service supports people returning after a stay in hospital, helping them to settle back at home, regain confidence and support with some practical tasks, e.g. shopping/cleaning.  You will manage referrals, carry out assessments, and in liaison with the manager, allocate service users to Discharge and Settle Worker caseloads. You will provide direct frontline support and co-ordinate visits to the service users’ home in preparation for their return home. You will work collaboratively to lead and manage the weekend service to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users.  The service is time limited, up to 4 or 6 weeks, to adjust, build confidence, and settle back in their homes. 

Key Tasks 

• Act as the first point of contact for all referrals over the weekend across both hospitals. 

• Meet with patients in the community and/or hospital and carrying out assessments and risk assessments.

• Enter referrals on to AUKEL’s case management system (currently Charity Log) in accordance with GDPR guidelines. 

• Allocate referrals to Discharge and Settle workers (in the week) using tech available (currently the Call Round App), training will be available. 

• Collect feedback from service users and upload to case management system. 

• Prepare and keep stock of AUKEL Welcome Packs and service leaflets. 

• Deputise for the manger at discharge planning and other meetings as required. 

• Support hospitals to improve the patient’s experience of the discharge process.

Refugee Legal Support is a dynamic organisation working in solidarity with people who migrate: we provide and promote legal support, training, and advocacy so that asylum seekers, refugees and migrants can access rights and justice. The role in brief

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the fundraising strategy: securing income from trusts, foundations, major donors, corporates, and other sources.
• Build, deepen and manage relationships with funders, partners and stakeholders to secure existing and new funding.
• Monitor fundraising performance, budgets, forecasts and contribute to organisational financial sustainability.
• Work operationally as required across the organisation: supporting RLS’s systems, processes and leadership team to ensure effective delivery and growth.
• Be a key member of the senior management team, working closely with the Executive Director, Legal Director and Board of Trustees to shape RLS’s strategic direction.
• Ensure high standards of reporting, monitoring and impact-communication to funders and stakeholders.

• Has great experience in senior fundraising roles (ideally including trust/foundation, donor relationships and multi-stream income generation).

Working arrangements

The role

This is a pivotal new role designed to increase the Board’s operational effectiveness, unlock external relationships, and strengthen communication between Trustees and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

The post holder will work closely with the Chair, Trustees, Independent members where appropriate and Scope’s executive team to ensure high-impact follow-through between meetings, improving visibility of board contributions, and supporting strategic external engagement with ambassadors and corporate partners.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in governance support, senior stakeholder coordination, or non-profit/NGO board facilitation, and who thrives in a diplomatic, behind-the-scenes role where confidentiality, attention to detail, political nous and relationship management are paramount.

Responsibilities include:

· Support the Chair by ensuring Trustees’ skills are mapped and kept up to date to ensure that Trustees are contributing efficiently and meaningfully to delivering Scope’s strategy.

· Coordinate introductions and referrals from Trustees to key partners and potential ambassadors, work with teams to ensure leads are followed up thoughtfully. Maintain a confidential log tracking these important relationships.

· Act as main point of contact between the Executive Leadership Team and Board, promoting open communication through updates and invitations, ensuring prompt responses to Trustee input. Help identify opportunities for Trustees to get involved in internal activities.

· Work with the governance team to track actions and ideas from Board and committee meetings, keep Trustees updated on progress, and arrange interim calls or working groups as needed.

· Share Trustee contact details (opt in), nurture informal connections, and provide support as required, while collaborating closely with the Governance team to ensure there’s no duplication of effort.
