Community Project Lead 

• Two-year fixed term, full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time (minimum 21 hours per week considered), £28,000 – £32,000 per annum depending on experience (pro rata if part-time)  
• Remote or office-based. Occasional visits to IPSEA’s office in Takeley or a London venue required. This role will also include frequent travel to meet with community partners.

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of SEND law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. We also provide training on the SEND legal framework, and we influence policy at both a local and national level.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Project Lead to join our team and lead the development of our advice services for under-served communities. This two-year, fixed-term role is a key part of our strategy to reach groups who may not traditionally engage with IPSEA’s support - including children and families with English as an additional language, cared-for children (children in care), migrant children, detained children, and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.

The project builds on a detailed scoping exercise we’ve recently completed, which involved working closely with a wide range of charities and organisations that support these communities. The resulting report outlines the barriers they face, and will form the foundation for this project and directly inform the work you will lead.

What you’ll do 

• Design and develop pilot advice services that are tailored to the needs of under-served communities, using findings from IPSEA’s research 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, charities and service providers to co-produce accessible services 

• Collaborate with IPSEA’s advice, legal and policy teams to address the barriers these communities face in accessing SEND legal advice 

• Contribute to and share outreach materials, training resources and toolkits to support families of under-served communities and empower local advocates 

• Plan and lead workshops, focus groups and community events to raise awareness, gather feedback and enhance service delivery 

• Monitor and report on project outcomes and impact, providing regular updates to IPSEA staff and stakeholders 

You can work remotely or from IPSEA’s office in Takeley, with frequent travel required for essential meetings and community engagement.

Richmond Borough Mind is a vibrant local charity that has been supporting and providing services for adults affected by mental health problems and their carers for over 60 years. 

We are excited to be looking for a Young Adults Peer Support Worker. You will have your own lived experience of mental ill health and be able to use this experience as well as your professional skills and knowledge, to support others.

With the expansion of our work in this area we aim to reduce waiting times, reduce the number of people going into crisis, address inequalities and support transitions from youth to adult services. We will be offering holistic and personalised care and support to service users and carers.

This role will carry caseload and deliver a range of support and person-centred interventions to meet these needs, which could include group support, one-to-one interventions and signposting where specialist advice is needed. Referrals could be young adults, careleavers, people currently under adult mental health services, or carers supporting people in the community.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about motivating and coaching individuals with mental health issues, and able to support people on their journey to recovery. As well as having an empathy with the core values of RB Mind, the successful applicants will have the skills to provide person-centred support, through one-to-one sessions and through facilitating groups. You will have an awareness of the boundaries we work within when supporting vulnerable adults. You should be enthusiastic and self-motivated, and must be able to work on your own initiative.

About the role

We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to work across multiple services within the area, to manage the running and coordination of regular activities, events, and trips for our residents. Our service provides support to residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will line manage a team of 2 peer support mentors. Our Peer Mentor role is designed for people who have lived experience of that faced by our residents. You will support with all aspects of line management and wellbeing support, ensuring they are well supported within their role. 

As an Activities Coordinator, you will coordinate and deliver high quality activities and programmes which work in support to individual support places and goals, by creating a calendar of activities, celebrations, awareness months/days/weeks and events to encourage social skills and community engagement. You will also maintain effective stakeholder relationships, find new partnerships, and create a catalogue of partners which are easily accessible.

The Role

This is a key role within Revitalise Trust, to help meet our fundraising targets by effectively managing a UK portfolio of existing donors and sourcing and securing new ones. Collaborating closely with the Director of Fundraising & International Partnerships, you will build strong relationships with existing funders in the UK and source and build relationships with new donors. You will play an active role in the fundraising team & across the organisation contributing to an exceptional working environment.

The Key Responsibilities

• Help meet RT and LYN fundraising targets, by:

1. Securing income streams from new UK donors, including through Grants & Trust income and individuals, through researching, approaching, and applying, and
2. Developing strong working relationships with existing UK donors, seeking opportunities for deeper partnerships and securing on-going giving where possible.

• Carry out insightful and informative research on new UK opportunities, and create impactful engagement strategies for potential new donors,

• Produce high quality, professionally written proposals, and application forms, which ensure the highest possibility of securing new funds.

• Produce timely, insightful, and impactful monitoring reports in accordance with donor requirements.

• Identify engagement opportunities to keep UK donors updated and informed on our work, including full or partial responsibility for our three key events each year: Experience Revitalise, Celebrate Revitalise, and Introduce Revitalise.
• Manage a small team in delivering the above.

The Right Candidate

• Significant fundraising experience, or a similar environment in raising funds to support an initiative, bringing in c. £2-3m in funds a year, including new funding.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, able to write excellent briefs and build highly effective relationships internally and externally with donors.
• Proactive, organised and solution focussed with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Experience of successfully leading a team and delivering a strategy.
• Able to accept responsibility for personal and wider team targets.
• Confident with MS Office and CRM Databases.

Role Summary
As Business Development Programme Officer, you’ll play a key role in expanding ARTICLE 19’s unrestricted income through creative and strategic fundraising. Working closely with the Business Development Team, you will support the delivery of our Business Expansion Strategy by cultivating relationships with individual donors, corporates, and major funders.

The Nuffield Foundation is looking for an AV and Information Systems Coordinator to take a lead role in managing our AV meeting and events environment and providing vital first-line systems support.

In this role you’ll work closely with the colleagues across the Foundation to ensure the seamless delivery of hybrid, online, and in-person events. You will also support the wider Information Systems team (and work with an outsourced IT provider) to manage and improve key systems like Office 365 and SAP Concur, while assisting with user support and project coordination.

We're seeking someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, strong IT literacy, and a proactive, calm approach to problem-solving. Experience with AV systems or IT support is desirable, with a willingness to learn being of most importance.

Background

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. A UK registered charity, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to meet a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. We also uplift the voices of Palestinians, and campaign for an end to the barriers to health and dignity that come from living through occupation, displacement, discrimination and conflict.

Purpose of role

MAP is in a period of growth and rapid development, and as such, the incoming Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for the financial strategy and management of MAP and for the leadership of operational areas to help deliver the organisation’s mission and strategic goals. The COO provides support to the CEO in areas of governance, legal and risk management and may deputise for the CEO as required.

Responsibilities

Strategy, vision and leadership

• Be accountable to the CEO and Board in the areas of finance, technology, risk and compliance, supply chain and logistics, and safety and security.
• Advise the CEO and SMT on financial planning, legal, governance and related policy matters.
• Work closely with SMT colleagues to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.
• Serve as the management liaison to the Finance & Operations Committee, Audit Risk & Governance Committee and, where required, to the Board of Trustees; effectively communicate and present critical financial and operational matters at governance meetings.
• Ensure robust, secure and scalable IT systems and infrastructure. Lead on information governance & data protection and identify and drive opportunities for digital transformation.
• Lead on the development of MAP’s strategic goals and objectives in all areas of responsibility and contribute to the development of other goals as well as the overall management of the organisation.
• Work with direct reports to ensure the delivery of an effective strategy in all areas of responsibility.

• Ensure strong financial controls, risk management and regulatory compliance, including with UK Charity Commission standards, donor requirements and legal and regulatory requirements in countries and territories of operation.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement in operations and ensure appropriate and timely action to address operational risks when they arise.
• Provide analytical support to the CEO and SMT including development of internal management reporting capabilities.

Profile

Person specification

• Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA) or post-graduate business degree mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior management role ideally with in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organisation.
• Experience either as an employee or board member of a non-profit organisation; must be familiar with non-profit finance and accounting regulations.
• Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organisational change and development within a growing organisation.
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Bring strong mentoring and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise.
• Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask.
• Superior management skills: the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
• Self-reliant and results-oriented, with good problem-solving skills.
