About the Role

The Training Development Manager will join at an exciting time as the organisation seeks to expand its training portfolio, offering a wider range of courses to enhance practitioner’s skills, knowledge, and proficiency in utilising the Outcomes Star effectively and are especially keen for the role to lead on the creation of digital learning.

About You

You will have experience of developing and documenting training courses and experience in a customer-focused role. With proven ability to prioritise and coordinate competing work streams to manage implementation projects, you will have experience of liaising and building relationships with senior customers

You will have an understanding of the needs of individuals using services and of organisations providing them and experience of selling products or services and implementing eLearning, this may be designing in house or working alongside an external organisation to design and build eLearning.

The Fundraising and Communications Manager will provide direction and manage the team responsible for brand, communications, events and fundraising through individual giving, legacies and community and corporate partnerships. This role and its responsibilities are critical in the charity’s growth and delivery of strategic goals through brand development, stakeholder engagement and delivery of some key streams of fundraised income. The successful candidate will have experience of planning and delivering income growth and will have produced communications and/or fundraising plans in the charity sector. You will ideally have brand managerial experience as you will be line managing three members of a high performing team. This role has a salary of £39,520 - £46,800 and will be hybrid working from your home and from their office in East London.

The Fundraising Officer at the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) supports a wide range of the charity’s activities, including but not limited to, helping to develop and grow income from individual donors with a focus on developing strong relationships with donors and families; as well as assisting with CHECT’s overall admin and operations.

We have an exciting opportunity here at Barnardo's for an experienced, enthusiastic, and assertive Team Manager to deliver the day-to-day operational delivery of the In Reach Hospital Emergency Department Family Support Programme.

The role is part time working 18.5 hours per week and will be based at North Middlesex University Hospital, the entrance to the A & E department is in Bridport Road, Edmonton, London, N18 1QX.

The successful candidate will work as part of the onsite clinical team to develop and nurture key relationships both within the direct delivery of the project and the wider system support which is available.

 

Some but not all of the key responsibilities are:

• Identify key personnel within the Emergency Department and liaise effectively with them to ensure Family Support Worker teams are embedded within the clinical setting. 
• Map and work with wider stakeholders locally and ensure Family Support Workers are aware of local services and assets to effectively signpost / connect families with appropriate support.
• Work effectively with identified operational leads within the ED setting to establish clear lines of communication and agree on day-to-day operational support for Family Support Workers.
• Support the Programme Manager in the implementation of standardised processes and systems to support project delivery and monitoring and highlight any local needs that need to be taken into consideration. 

Ideal Candidates must have's

• A basic understanding of Public Health, including health inequalities and wider determinants of health as well as some understanding of trauma informed approaches.  
• An understanding of the challenges of working and delivering an intervention within an acute setting and the ability to support and motivate staff in delivering an effective and holistic service to families. 
• An understanding of family support and experience of working with families with complex needs

The In Reach Hospital Emergency Department Family Support

Programme model offers a robust way of supporting often vulnerable families to uncover and address unmet need. Through identifying the underlying factors causing the clinical presentation and attendance, and addressing holistic needs of the family unit, we hope activity to unscheduled, primary and emergency care is dramatically and sustainably reduced.

The model is based on Family Support Workers based within Children's Emergency Departments, offering holistic, family-oriented support in a flexible manner either in-person, telephone- based and home visits to be able to address the underlying causes of repeated / avoidable ED attendances.

*Although this contract has a permanent status, please be aware that this post is subject to funding currently to March 2025 and therefore should this funding not be extended further, you may be subject to a redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement.

Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) is the UK’s leading health and research charity for Pulmonary Fibrosis. We are seeking an excellent relationship manager to develop new and existing Corporate Partnerships for APF, driving growth in income to help us fund vital research and support more of the estimated 70,000 people living with pulmonary fibrosis in the UK.

APF supports people affected by Pulmonary Fibrosis - a cruel and terminal lung scarring disease that cuts thousands of lives short in the UK each year. There’s no known cure, and it’s on the rise. We want to stop lives being lost to Pulmonary Fibrosis, and as we enter a new five-year strategic period, income growth underpins our ambitious and exciting plans to grow research, support and influencing.

As Senior Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager, you will grow income from corporate supporters and other partners (including pharmaceutical companies). Providing supportive line management to the Trusts and Grants Coordinator, you will drive our trusts and statutory funding income streams, working collaboratively across APF teams and with our supporters.

We are looking for a people-person who is confident in stewarding relationships and partnerships to drive growth in income. You will need to be an ambitious team-player with fundraising experience.

Your role

As Assistant Shop Manager, it is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Shop Manager in Surbiton's brand new Scope shop (Victoria Road, Surbiton). The shop will be opening mid 2024.  You will be able to use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. About this key role

As our specialist worker you will provide peer supervisory support to the team within the wider hospital based services, which includes deputising for the Senior Caseworker, and supporting the Data Coordinator and Senior Caseworker with the collation of information and data for project monitoring purposes. We will also count on you to develop and maintain strong relationships with clinicians and hospital staff, while also identifying onward referral pathways with other services in the hospital such as CAMHS, IDVA, COMPASS and other statutory and voluntary sectors in the community.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will also help to identify and assess young victims of violence and to provide support, advice and advocacy for both them and their families as they plan to be discharged from hospital back into the community. You will produce support and risk management plans based on your assessments and deliver a holistic support service that includes practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options, benefits work, appearing in court, DIY work and cleaning.

What we are looking for

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families.
• Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team, working together to achieve positive outcomes for young people and establishing links to further the aims of a project.
• Experience of using support plans to enable people to successfully access support services.
• Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people.
• Proven experience of working in a high intensity environment.
• A working knowledge of relevant services for young people and their families in the service provision area.
• First-class interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.
