As Trusts Fundraising Manager, you will manage the delivery of the trusts fundraising strategy, including work to identify and research potential new sources of trusts funding. You will develop and manage the delivery of an annual work plan and pipeline for the trusts fundraising programme, including time-sensitive trust applications, to grow income. You will research and make approaches, pitches, submissions and applications to charitable trusts and foundations (both in the UK and overseas territories). You will also develop new and existing relationships with trusts through exemplary stewardship to maximise long term income, secure new sources of funding, upgrade existing levels of giving, repeat donations and multi-year funding.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Experience of working in a fundraising management role or equivalent, with a track record of developing and maintaining relationships with partners and/or potential supporters that ultimately generate income.
• Experience of managing a trusts fundraising programme, and developing a trusts pipeline or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the current trusts fundraising market, including potential supporters.
• Proven ability in developing and producing effective, cohesive, motivating and inspiring proposals, approaches, presentations and funding reports.

About the Role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

What's the role about?

This is a strategic role looking to maximise existing income sources and identify and evaluate new sources of income to ensure sustainable funding for RSPB Cymru's work. We have recently restructured the Income Generation and Marketing team and this role sits within the High Value team, working alongside Corporate fundraising, Philanthropy and Special Events, and reporting into the Assistant Director of IGM/ Head of High Value Partnerships. The team are currently developing a new high value strategy, to underpin the organisation wide strategy and the overall IGM strategy.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations the post holder will be responsible for all HR related matters and ensure that Managers can develop to their full potential by upskilling, coaching and providing advice.

The HR Manager is a newly created position reflecting the growth in Trust activities over recent years and the need for a dedicated resource to ensure Trust needs are met as we continue to grow and evolve. The successful candidate will be qualified to CIPD level 5 and have proven experience in HR policy and practice. Charity experience would be advantageous however this is not essential.

About the role 

Leading on financial management processes across the organisation you will provide high quality, meaningful financial information to support the decision making of our Board of Trustees.

You will support YDMT's fundraising, grant-giving and project delivery - leading the central support team to develop and manage robust HR, finance, IT and facilities systems and procedures.

As a member of the YDMT Executive Leadership Team, you will also support our Chief Executive in shaping the future of YDMT's work. You'll provide support and information to the Board and contribute to our vision and direction. 

About you

We are looking for somebody with a proven background in account management within the charity sector or similar. You'll have a track record of managaing financial accounting systems and handling multiple funding streams in a charitable context, as well as excellent people skills and experience of leading a team.
