Job Title: Substance Misuse Worker
Location: Catford, Lewisham (Approximately 11 minute walk from Bellingham Station - Thameslink and Southeastern rail services) - The service works across two properties which are located in close proximity to each other. This service has step free access.
Salary: £29,000 (Full Time Equivalent)
Shift Pattern: 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 3 days a week which can be discussed directly with the hiring manager at interview
About the role
We’re looking for a Substance Misuse Worker with experience in mental health and substance use to join our Catford team. Based in a 24 hour residential service, you’ll support adults with severe and enduring mental health needs through rehabilitation and recovery focused support, using your specialist knowledge to help residents and the team overcome personal challenges.
You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills. You will be a specialist in comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of your duties will include:
- Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.
- Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.
- Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.
- Work closely with support staff and clinical teams to support and advise them on interventions and approaches to meet resident/participant comorbid, complex mental health and substance misuse needs.
- Support multi-disciplinary teams and the wider community teams with support, advice, signposting, and move on care planning.
About you
We are looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with experience in interventions, and in a similar role. Qualifications are desirable if paired with practical experience which is relevant to this role. We look at individual characteristics with the ability to engage with various people who may not want to receive the support, able to build trusting professional relationships, and able to demonstrate resilience, solve challenges, and be proactive. - Full knowledge on comorbidity and complex needs, able to share knowledge, skills, and experience with others
- Previous experience in a similar role, providing interventions and holistic assessments and support for people experiencing mental health challenges

- A commitment to promoting recovery, harm reduction, and active involvement in care planning
- Ability to apply relapse prevention models to promote sustained recovery and harm reduction

The Employment Support Coordinator will regularly meet with participants to listen, offer support and help them identify their best job match, reflecting their skills and aspirations.
In your day-to-day role, you will be striving to build, expand and strengthen the project whilst working closely with the Employment Manager to ensure all key performance indicators and any project targets are met. The role is responsible for onboarding individuals into the project as well as delivering face-to-face mentoring, work experience in and outdoors and coaching.
Project Skills:
- Support with the daily operations of the project scope.
- Supporting individuals through CV production, profiling, interview techniques, attending interviews, workshops, job clubs and managing their health at work.

About You
It’s essential that:
- You have at least two years’ experience within a coordination/administration service for individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
- You have a proven track record of successful project administration.
- You hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
- Be ready to work flexibly, which could include weekends and bank holidays. You might also be asked to work in different services as needed.

The team
You’ll join our International Energy Access team, primarily working on the multimillion-pound Efficiency for Access Coalition including the Low Energy Inclusive Appliances (LEIA) programme that aims to double the efficiency and halve the cost of off- and weak-grid appliances in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. This programme is funded by UK aid, from the UK government via the Transforming Energy Access platform, and IKEA Foundation, and delivered by Energy Saving Trust in partnership with CLASP.
As part of the International Energy Access team, you’ll contribute to meaningful initiatives that have real-world impact on improving lives and livelihoods, while helping to address the climate emergency. What you'll do:
- Oversee all induction and mandatory training, ensuring it meets organisational requirements
- Ensure induction material is up-to-date and engaging

About the role

The role
As Head of Operations, you will lead all operational functions of Foxglove. You will ensure that our finance, HR, legal compliance, fundraising, systems and internal processes enable the organisation to carry out its mission effectively. Job Purpose:
