About the role

This is a new role which will help to deliver a pilot strategy to grow long-term sustainable income by enhancing Breast Cancer Now’s on-the-ground presence locally.

Joining the relationship fundraising team and working closely with the high value partnerships team, this role is responsible for cultivating new long-term relationships and, in turn, driving fundraising income.

Uniquely, the post holder will help to implement a large-scale trial to further grow Tickled Pink, an award-winning partnership between Asda, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! which has raised over £100m. The goal is to grow both engagement and future income by directly supporting colleagues across Asda stores in their local area.

In addition, this role will establish and grow a portfolio of supporters in the northwest by cultivating relationships with new and warm supporters including individuals, clubs, societies and local companies. It will also line manage two community fundraisers based in Scotland. 

What’s special about this role is that you’ll be working alongside a supportive, innovative and fun team which has delivered continued growth in fundraising over the last five years.

The is the first time the charity has had a community fundraiser locally based in the northwest. It is one of five new roles being introduced as part of the pilot, and the goal is that they all become permanent. 

About you 

You’re a pro at cultivating long term relationships with a variety of new supporters to generate income, and have great community fundraising experience working with individuals, local companies and clubs and societies.

You’re proactive and can work in a flexible and agile way; perhaps you’ve helped to deliver successful pilots in the past. You’re solution focused and experienced in developing and delivering ideas to grow income and engagement in the short and long term.

With great communication skills, you’re a team player and love working independently as well as part of a large team with various stakeholders.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in Manchester, Liverpool or the surrounding area. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as to our offices in London, Sheffield and Glasgow.

Strategy Manager

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Strategy Manager to join their team in London, Delhi or Accra. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

The Strategy Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Leadership Team in the shaping, reviewing and refining of CAF’s strategy at all levels. Specifically, the role will manage the development of CAF’s organisational strategy for 2027-2030 and work with CAF’s portfolio leads to develop and refresh CAF’s thematic and geographic portfolio-level strategies. Beyond strategy work, the role will also support the external engagement and thought leadership of the CEO as well as cross-organisational priorities. This role combines strategic thinking, research and analysis, communicating complex information simply, and effective project and stakeholder management. 

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience; 

• Strategy development – experience managing rigorous strategy development processes grounded in evidence and with effective stakeholder engagement.
• Research and Analysis - able to research, synthesise and analyse complex information including political, scientific and financial.

You will play a central role in growing income across the Hospice and driving forward new, relationship-based approaches to fundraising.

With a focus on Major Donors and Trusts and Foundations you will personally identify, develop and manage relationships, with a focus on £5-25k+ opportunities.

 You will develop a new approach for managing and fundraising from small trusts and have the opportunity to learn and grow through working with the AD for Development on larger opportunities.

You’ll bring creativity and a results-oriented outlook, contributing to the wider success of fundraising at the Hospice.

The must haves.....

• Fundraising Success: At least three years’ experience operating in a Trusts and Foundations role (or relevant transferable skills) and a track record of personally securing and stewarding five figure gifts
• Proposition development: Creative in outlook and with experience of developing donor-centric proposals and reports
• Portfolio management: Knowledgeable in developing and managing a portfolio, and key prospect management tools and systems
• Data management: Experienced CRM user and with working knowledge of Data Protection Laws

The Partnerships Manager will play a central role in helping the RES achieve its strategic goals by developing, building and sustaining partnerships to deliver external funding. The individual will manage existing relationships, identify opportunities, lead bid writing, develop compelling funding proposals, and build relationships with funders, partners, and philanthropic donors.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising and bid development

• Identify and secure new sponsorship and partnerships opportunities to support existing RES activities
• Seek funding for new activities in line with the Society’s goals.
• Maintain and develop relationships with current and prospective partners including funding bodies, trusts and foundations, sponsors, major donors, corporates, universities and others.
• Write high-quality, persuasive funding bids and proposals, working with RES staff, trustees, and partner organisations.
• Develop cases for support, theory of change frameworks and budgets to underpin funding applications.
• Respond to calls for funding with tailored and timely applications that align with funder interests and the Society’s strategic priorities.
• Work closely with colleagues on the delivery of the funded activities, where appropriate overseeing these directly.

Business Development and External Engagement

• Represent RES externally at funder meetings, networking events, and partnership development discussions.

Internal Collaboration and Capacity Building

• Work closely with colleagues shaping and costing funding proposals and ensure bid quality and compliance
• Provide guidance, training, and support to colleagues on funding opportunities, bid development, and funder expectations.
• Work with finance colleagues to ensure accurate invoicing, renewals, and financial forecasting.

Reporting

• Monitor performance against income and other targets and report regularly to the Chief Executive and Board.
• Prepare briefings, proposals and reports for Board and committee meetings.

Other

• Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities commensurate with the role and as reasonably requested.

Person Specification

Essential Skills

1. Proven experience of successful fundraising, bid writing or business development, preferably in a learned society, research organisation, professional body or in higher education.
2. Understanding of impact and outcomes-based funding models (e.g. theory of change), and how to align funding opportunities with organisational priorities.
3. Ability to support the development of budgets for funding bids and to track/report against income target.
4. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write persuasive funding bids, cases for support, and briefing materials.
6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
7. Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality.

Desired Skills

1. Familiarity with the research, higher education, or economics funding landscape.
2. Experience of working with a variety of funders, including trusts and foundations, research councils, corporates, or major donors.
3. Experience working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce or equivalent).
4. Understanding of how charitable governance interacts with fundraising, including experience supporting committees or preparing reports for Boards.

As Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for both the day-to-day financial operations and the wider financial strategy of the charity. You’ll be hands-on with routine finance tasks, from processing transactions and reconciling accounts to managing invoices and payments and liaising with our payroll provider. You will also lead the systems, reporting and planning that underpins UKMSA’s long-term sustainability and impact.

You’ll ensure our finances are accurate, up-to-date, and well-documented, providing clear reporting and insight to support confident decision-making. Alongside the day-to-day work, you’ll prepare management accounts, forecasts and budgets; oversee both restricted and unrestricted income; produce year-end accounts and the annual financial report; lead the annual budgeting process; and provide trusted financial advice to colleagues and trustees to keep us on track with our strategic goals.

UKMSA exists to support the vitality, creativity and sustainability of Men’s Sheds, and to amplify the voices and impact of Shedders. As Finance Manager, you’ll work in partnership with the Director of Income and Investment, playing a key role in making sure UKMSA is financially secure, transparent, and able to increase and develop our support for the Shedding movement.

This is a varied and practical role, ideal for someone with a recognised accountancy qualification and experience in charity finance. You’ll be confident using AccountsIQ (or similar systems), able to manage detail while keeping an eye on the bigger picture, and comfortable explaining financial information to non-finance colleagues. The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

About the role:

Based in Haringey, London, is a supported living accommodation for up to 5 service users with staff on duty 24 hours a day. Speakers Trust is the UK's leading public speaking charity, which delivers training and events to ensure all young people develop the skills and confidence to speak and be heard.
Each year, we work with over 40,000 young people, helping them develop the confidence to share their ideas and stories out loud. Our work transforms lives - every day we see and hear stories of young people who have found their voice and discovered the power of speaking up.
We operate through two key areas: (i) we deliver a national schools programme to more than one in five state secondary schools delivering workshops and events and publishing leading educational resources. (ii) we work with third sector organisations to deliver workshops and events with the joint aims of amplifying youth voice and supporting the financial sustainability of the charity- an exciting growth area that this role will help shape and lead.

The Role
This role is focused on managing and growing our work with other third sector organisations. It focuses on two areas: (i) developing our social enterprise which delivers over 150 paid workshops each year and (ii) delivering youth voice initiatives with other charity partners which amplify young voices. We're creating this new position to drive our strategic mission while enabling our Head of Fundraising to focus on individual giving, corporates, and larger trusts and foundations.

All colleagues are expected to also play a role in supporting Speakers Trust’s broader strategic objectives.

Enterprise Development (Primary Focus)

•  Grow our established “paid for” workshop delivery (currently 150+ workshops annually) by building   relationships with third sector organisations, developing new products, promotions and selling public   speaking workshops to those with budget to pay for them.
•  Drive successful growth in enterprise contribution to the charity's finances through increased net income
•  Manage the full commercial cycle from prospecting and enquiry to delivery and invoicing
•  Work with our impressive existing client base while actively developing new partnerships
•  Match client needs with our established freelance trainer network

 Youth Voice Programmes

• Successfully deliver flagship programmes like "My Maiden Speech" - our high-profile, transformative multi-organisation youth voice programme
• Develop and deliver new youth voice initiatives that amplify marginalised voices
• Engage new partners and showcase our transformative work
• Manage events, logistics, and complex stakeholder relationships across multiple organisations
• Maximise the potential of these programmes to generate new funding sources to expand this part of our work.

Supporting Speakers Trust's Broader Objectives

• Supporting fundraising events and activities to help achieve our income targets

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA (ICAEW), etc.) with a thorough practical understanding of Finance Management including management accounting principles and techniques as well as an understanding of charity accounting principles.

The Baobab Centre provides rehabilitation support to young asylum seekers and refugees who have experienced human rights abuses. Baobab provides psychotherapy, casework and advocacy as well as a wider range of community activities.

Tasks will include 

· Provide high quality accounting/financial support service to the Operations Team 

· Prepare, develop and analyse management accounting information 

· Finance planning, budgeting, forecasting and annual accounts

The Role

As our Fundraising Manager, you will be the driving force behind developing, launching, and delivering a dynamic fundraising strategy to secure significant and sustainable support for the Waqf Fund.

Your role will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery from engaging high-net-worth donors and institutional funders, to inspiring grassroots giving from communities who believe in the transformative power of education.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Planning – Develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with the Fund’s mission and values.
• Major Donor Engagement – Identify, cultivate, and steward high-value donors and partners, building long-term, trust-based relationships.
• Community Fundraising – Mobilise grassroots support across the UK Muslim community, creating campaigns that inspire giving at every level.
• Institutional Funding – Explore and secure grants, sponsorships, and partnerships from trusts, foundations, and corporate supporters.
• Events & Campaigns – Design and deliver fundraising events, both in-person and digital, that engage and inspire.
• Waqf Awareness – Champion and educate donors on the concept of Waqf as a sustainable, faith-driven model for impact.
• Impact Reporting – Work with the leadership team to demonstrate the difference donor support is making, through compelling storytelling and data.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a rare combination of heart and hustle. You will:

• Have a proven track record in fundraising, business development, or sales, ideally in the charity or education sector.
• Understand the values and motivations of Muslim donors, with sensitivity to cultural and faith contexts.
• Be a confident communicator, able to inspire at a boardroom table and from the mosque pulpit.
• Have experience in building a fundraising function from scratch (preferred but not essential).
• Be highly organised, results-driven, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves.

An exceptional opportunity to work with a passionate volunteer-led organisation and help shape the future of a remarkable industrial heritage site. Kempton Steam Museum, operated by Kempton Great Engines Trust, is home to the world's largest operational triple-expansion steam engine, which supplied water to much of London until 1980. Our project, Kempton: Clean Water for Life - reaching a wider audience, is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we aim to transform Kempton Steam Museum’s engagement with visitors and the local community, while enhancing support for volunteers and care of collections. Three new part-time staff roles are being created to focus on volunteering, collections and managing the project.

The part-time Museum Operations and Project Manager will manage day-to-day operations and oversee delivery of the project initiatives. We will also be recruiting a Curatorial Officer (one day per week) and a Volunteer Coordinator (two days per week).

The key responsibilities of the Museum Operations and Project Manager include overseeing daily operations in particular to build capacity, in collaboration with the Operations Committee, and developing operational policies and procedures; planning, executing and monitoring all aspects of the Heritage Fund project; line managing the Volunteer Coordinator and fostering a positive and collaborative working environment between staff and volunteers; line managing the Curatorial Assistant to ensure that collections are looked after and documented in line with best practice; working with the Curatorial Assistant and trustees to achieve Accreditation by August 2026; and managing the external consultants who will be carrying out audience development work and developing learning materials.
