The post-holder will play a key role within the Initiatives and Partnerships team, working with regional teams to develop and implement proposals to expand use of historic churches in our existing estate and, on occasion, working with other heritage and community groups to deliver their own projects via consultancy or partnership work.   

 They will manage a programme of work that will include a number of site-specific projects and national initiatives across multiple sites, as well as from time to time working with third parties on partnership or consultancy projects.   

The Commercial Initiatives Officer is responsible for the development and delivery of CCT’s commercial initiatives, including Champing and Filming, that involve multiple sites, as well as any future such schemes. The role will line manage the Customer Service and Admin Assistant, Champing who is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Champing. The post-holder will also work closely with colleagues in conservation and regional teams to make sure that impacts on both areas are fully considered, whilst in tandem seeking to maximise opportunities to expand and increase commercial activity, income and ultimately profitability.

Job title: Employer Engagement Manager

Overall purpose

The Employer Engagement Manager (EEM) will play a critical role in ensuring refugees supported by Breaking Barriers access meaningful, opportunities that align with client needs and labour market demand. The postholder will lead employer outreach and partnership building in priority sectors and embed consistent systems and processes that make employer engagement coordinated and impactful across the organisation. The EEM will support pathways, work placements, recruitment pipelines and workshops by ensuring employer input is actively embedded where relevant.

This is a strategic, hands-on role, the successful candidate will map and cultivate employer relationships, secure employer input into sector pathways, workshops and recruitment initiatives, translate labour market intelligence into programme improvements, and design the operational processes that enable Programmes and Corporate Partnerships to work together effectively. You will operate in a matrix environment, collaborating closely with the Programmes, Corporate Partnerships and Client Services teams but will not hold direct line-management of delivery staff.

The role is set up to be ambitious but achievable within 12 months. The priority is to build tested, repeatable employer engagement practice (relationships, processes, insight-sharing and measurable impact) that can form the foundations of a permanent employer engagement function if/when funding allows.

Platform’s North Sea Workers’ Transition project is building towards a managed phase-out of oil and gas extraction in the UK North Sea. We’re organising for an energy industry that protects the rights and livelihoods of the current oil and gas workforce and directs wealth back to communities, especially those impacted by industrial change.

We have been working with offshore oil and gas workers and their unions for 5+ years. In 2023, we published a groundbreaking set of 10 demands for a just energy transition away from fossil fuels co-created with offshore workers: Our Power: offshore workers’ demands for a just energy transition. Since publishing the report we have launched public advocacy and media campaigns based on these demands - working alongside industrial trade unions, national and grassroots climate groups, and oil and gas workers. We coordinate a first-of-its-kind coalition of industrial unions and climate groups working together on national worker transition demands.

As living conditions continue to decline and the climate crisis deepens, we are looking for a motivated and creative campaigner, who is able to lead the next stage of the project, and who has a strong understanding of anti-oppression and energy justice.

About the role

The Worker Transition Campaigns Manager will work closely with our Worker Organiser and Public and Community Ownership Campaigner, supported by our Organising and Advocacy Lead, Research Lead and Communications Lead.

You will be responsible for strategising, project managing and delivering the project. Activities will look like:

• Coordinating an existing coalition of climate groups and trade unions, including holding relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders across movements;
• Developing and delivering political advocacy and public campaigns strategies to win Our Power demands - including public ownership of energy - at a UK and Scottish Government level;
• Supporting the work of Platform’s Worker Organiser(s) to build links with energy workers and involve them in media, political meetings and/or campaigning activities.

This post would sit within Platform’s internal collective management structure and would therefore be expected to support the collective management of the organisation in addition to finance and fundraising-related responsibilities. This includes line managing 1-2 staff members after the 6 month probation period and attending collective management meetings. 

Role Details

Hours: 4 days (32 hours) based on a 40 hour work week (5 x 8 hour days including a 1hr lunch break).

We are now looking for an Income Generation Manager to join our team, on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the importance of sustainable funding and wants to use their skills to make a real difference. In this role, you will provide targeted support to community organisations and community-led libraries across Birmingham, helping them to develop their fundraising skills and build long-term financial resilience.

You will deliver bespoke support, workshops, and resources designed to improve income generation across the sector. Working closely with organisations, you will help identify and secure suitable funding opportunities through bid writing, applications to trusts and foundations, and developing other income streams such as events, sponsorship and corporate partnerships. You will also take a hands-on approach to achieving agreed income targets — around £200,000 in the first year, rising to £500,000 within 18 months.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work with Birmingham City Council and other strategic partners to ensure our support aligns with city-wide priorities, while also building strong relationships with funders and networks to open up new opportunities for community groups. Alongside this, you will monitor outcomes and report on the impact of your work, maintaining accurate records and producing reports that highlight progress and learning across the programme.

To succeed in this role, you will need to bring proven experience in fundraising or income generation, ideally within the voluntary and community sector. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to write compelling bids and proposals. You will be confident working independently while also being an enthusiastic collaborator who thrives on building partnerships. Job description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team of 28 staff, ideally before the end of 2025.

This is a hybrid role of 3 to 4 days a week with a minimum of 2 days a week based at the office in Talgarth, LD3 0BW.

We offer flexibility around working hours, with the expectation of trustee meeting attendance 3 times a year, and weekly management and team meetings on-site over 2 days. We offer 24 days holiday (pro rata), plus 8 statutory public holidays (not pro rata). The starting salary is £60,000 (pro rata) plus a 6% employer pension contribution on a salary sacrifice scheme.

The CFO works alongside the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer to manage the finances and governance of The Wye and Usk Foundation (WUF), a conservation charity with an annual income between £1.5m and £2m.

Given the retirement of the current postholder at the end of 2025, we are seeking a well-qualified and experienced individual to take on this senior leadership role as soon as possible to enable handover to occur.

The role is very varied and wide-ranging, including presenting financial information and management accounts to the trustees and senior management on a monthly basis, maintaining annual budgeting, appraising internal project budgets and contracts, preparing annual statutory accounts in line with the Charity SORP and liaising with external auditors, and managing the VAT requirements for the organisation on a partial VAT basis.

The postholder will lead a team of three in the finance department and join a very knowledgeable and welcoming team of 28 highly engaged and passionate staff at WUF.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Working alongside the CEO, the CFO will provide commercial, financial and governance management and leadership for WUF. The CFO will not only be an exceptional accountant, with executive oversight of the finance function, but will be commercially astute and have the confidence to represent robustly the best interests of WUF. The CFO will also be an experienced manager of people.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Act as a business partner to support and constructively challenge the CEO in the general management of WUF, reporting to the trustees.
2. Lead all aspects of the finance function (including maintaining and developing the financial control environment; robust financial accounting; cashflow management; incisive management information; clear and concise reporting to the trustees) to ensure that the Charity and the Companies’ assets are secured, risks are managed, and the Board of Trustees can make well-informed decisions.
3. Manage relationships with auditors, funders, banks, investment platforms (with assistance from the trustees), and other external organisations.
4. Provide support to project bids and the development of other commercial opportunities to ensure that bids/opportunities are optimised for WUF.
5. Provide input to project and programme delivery from time to time, to ensure that performance is maximised for WUF.
6. Attend trustee meetings and Finance and General Purposes Committee meetings to guide the Board of Trustees and the Senior Management Team on financial, commercial and governance issues.
7. Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Charity Commission and Companies House and, from time to time, provide guidance to members of WUF on good governance practice.

About the Role

About the role 

In this role, you’ll work within the Major Gifts and Special events department to design and implement an effective strategy to maximise income from high value audiences (£10k+) in Scotland.

Encompassing trusts and foundations, statutory funders and major donors, you will build strong working relationships with internal and external contacts to grow both our reach and income to deliver for the Parkinson’s community.

By creating, managing and developing strong relationships between Parkinson’s UK and prospective funders and donors, you’ll secure income for specific projects and programmes to deliver our organisational strategy within Scotland.

What you’ll do:

• Drive and implement a strategy to maximise income from an agreed portfolio of high value funders and prospects with a Scottish interest.

• Personally create, manage and develop relationships with new and existing trust and statutory donors and philanthropy donors leading to increased and sustained financial support.

• Further develop a major donor pipeline - identifying connections, qualifying individual prospects and securing philanthropic donations.

• Create, manage and develop relationships with statutory funding bodies to secure income for agreed priority projects in Scotland.

• Work with stakeholders to understand future priorities, identify funding opportunities and work collaboratively to build and present multi year funding proposals.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of personally securing gifts from high value funders (5 and 6 figures)

• Experience of cultivating relationships and making successful asks in a variety of ways, such as in writing, by email and face-to face

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of people and establish credibility with both donors and colleagues 

• Experience of personally securing gifts from statutory and lottery funding sources or stewarding major grants/tenders

For over 15 years, Scotty's Little Soldiers has been supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.  We are about to embark on an exciting journey which will see the charity evolve to support anyone affected by a military-connected bereavement and ultimately empower a community of more than 25,000 bereaved individuals and their families by 2035.

Founded in 2010 by Nikki Scott following the death of her husband, Corporal Lee Scott, the charity currently offers a unique blend of emotional, practical, and educational support to over 750 young people.

Role Mission.

I am here to lead Scotty’s outreach to bereaved military families — helping more people find, trust, and access our support by creating a visible, welcoming, and engaged community.

I am accountable for:

• Developing and delivering Scotty’s Outreach strategy, aligned with the charity’s long-term vision and growth targets.
• Leading the development of a new in-house team, ensuring strong performance, alignment, and support across all outreach activities.
• Achieving our beneficiary reach and engagement targets, including community growth, email sign-ups & engagement, social reach, and event/webinar attendance.
• Ensuring all outreach activity is sensitive, on-brand, and audience-focused, particularly in the context of bereavement and the military community.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

• Shape and deliver the Outreach strategy to engage bereaved military families across the UK, helping us to a) reach more bereaved families, and b) maintain regular engagement with those families.
• Lead and support the development of the Outreach squad as it grows.
• Plan and oversee delivery of digital and offline outreach activity, including social media, email marketing, website content, printed publications, and event promotion.
• Initially take responsibility for the delivery of outreach activity (except social media) until the squad grows.
• Ensure strong audience insight, segmentation, and tone of voice in all comms.
• Set and report on performance metrics to the CEO, SLT, and Trustees.
• Work closely with internal teams, especially our Service Delivery, to align comms and campaigns with our Programme goals, and to ensure we sensitively engaged with the bereaved military community.
• Uphold the Scotty’s tone and brand across all outreach activity — adapting to the needs of a sensitive, bereaved audience.

The 3-month goals for this role are:

• Build a deep understanding of Scotty’s mission, our audience, the services we provide, and strategic direction.
• Finalise the Outreach strategy with the CEO, including key audience segments, platform focus, and performance metrics.
• Begin recruitment of the Outreach Squad (Social Media Exec to start, subject to funding confirmation).
• Produce and maintain a 90-day content and campaign plan, working closely with other teams.
• Establish baseline data for outreach KPIs and set up regular performance reporting.
• Picked up accountability for beneficiary marketing-related tools such as email, website, social etc.

The 6-month goals for this role are:

• Support the recruitment and onboarding of the Social Media Exec (TBC).
• Have created audience journeys and set up systems (CRM) to mirror them.
• Launch first targeted outreach campaigns focused on increasing awareness and sign-ups to services, particularly SMILES and SUPPORT programmes.
• Begin the repositioning journey for Scotty’s brand, working alongside PR & Comms and the CEO.
• Strengthen working relationships with Service Delivery to ensure handovers from outreach to support are smooth and consistent.
• Launched a regular programme of beneficiary focused comms including monthly email, annual magazine, daily social content.

The 9-month goals for this role are:

• Demonstrate progress against outreach KPIs (e.g. increased social reach, community email sign-ups, beneficiary engagement).
• Deliver a successful cycle of outreach to support 2+ SMILES or SUPPORT campaigns/events.
• Complete internal and external review of what’s working in outreach — optimise content, messaging, and tactics accordingly.
• Refine and relaunch Scotty’s beneficiary-facing email comms strategy to improve open and click-through rates.
• Begin developing a 12-month Outreach roadmap for Year 2, including content themes, campaign ideas, and team development needs.

About This Job

As Fundraising Assistant at sister charities, ACCT UK and CCFA, you will play a key role in the growth of existing fundraising and in the creation of new income streams. Stewarding fundraisers, helping to develop new and existing fundraising campaigns, building relationships internally within the cadet organisations and externally with Trusts and Foundations, corporates and major givers. You will provide administrative and operational support, including maintaining the fundraising database. Working closely with the rest of the Development team and in particular the Marketing department to ensure that both charities can provide increasing financial support to cadets and adult volunteers across the UK.
