• You will be part of a small organisation of around 15 people that take a flexible, collaborative and trust-based approach to work.

What you will deliver (responsibilities)

Programme Support:

• Present analysis and insights based on performance data and any contact with delivery partners to inform decisions within the team about ongoing relationships.
• Support the writing of papers for the Investment Committee and other committees including the Access Board, to present clear information to support understanding and decision-making.
• Help to organise, manage and minute internal and external meetings and events, including peer learning workshops.
• Assist with keeping Programmes pages of the Access website up to date.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of a bank of practical resources for use by our partners
• Other programme support duties as required.

Finance:

• Ensure robust financial management of Access’s programmes, including monitoring deployment targets of social investors and supporting the process for drawing funds from Access.

Relationship management:

•  Become one of the day-to-day points of contact for a portfolio of organisations who are delivering or supporting Access’s programmes, or in the process of applying to do so. These may include social investors, grant partners or other stakeholders.
• Build strong productive and supportive working relationships with delivery partners, in a spirit of collaboration and learning.
• Maintain comprehensive and clear records of the status of the relationship and any key questions or issues which are currently being addressed.

Data and learning:

• Support the acquisition and collation of regular performance data submissions
• Support the analysis and reporting on performance within each delivery partner and across the portfolio.

Other tasks:

• Leading on or supporting the delivery of internal and external events

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.

We now have a need for an Officer to work closely with the Development Director and CEO in developing our corporate income stream, managing the accounts of existing corporate partners and generating income through securing new corporate partnerships. These partnerships will generate both donations and earned income, with corporate partners contracting Tender to deliver workplace training. You will also work closely with our Corporate Advisory Board, which includes a diverse, ambitious group of professionals who are supporting us to maximise our corporate income stream. The main purposes of the Development Officer role are:

· Provide support to the Senior P&P Manager in activities relating to OSUK’s global corporate partners through managing employee-led activities across the portfolio.

· Lead on producing corporate-related social media and communications content

Community Fundraising

· Lead on the handling of all inbound community fundraising correspondence, including donations received, merchandise and speaking requests

· Develop a strong understanding of fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse, maintaining their upkeep and reconciliation with Operation Smile's financial and reporting systems

Additional Responsibilities

· Expand your understanding of Operation Smile’s programmatic work globally, of cleft lip and palate conditions, health system strengthening and the global surgery sector

· Support other areas of the Partnership Team’s work, including events.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Regulatory Officer to join our Regulatory Standards Department, where your work will directly contribute to upholding standards and ensuring the integrity of the profession.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for risk and evidence-based authorisations – from assessing applications by individuals and chambers, to reviewing training providers and other regulated bodies.

You’ll also provide vital support across regulatory operations, helping the department run smoothly and effectively.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same, and your ability to apply sound judgement, work with accuracy, and communicate decisions clearly will be key to your success.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Managing, prioritising, and assessing authorisation applications within regulatory and KPI timescales.
• Applying risk-based analysis to ensure decisions are fair, robust, and consistent.
• Handling queries via phone and email, providing clear and timely responses.
• Maintaining accurate data through database and document management.
• Supporting departmental operations, from preparing reports and key statistics, to organising and minuting meetings.
• Assisting with wider regulatory projects and tasks as needed.

About You:

• Experience in regulation, membership, case management, or a similar professional standards setting
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with risk awareness and the ability to apply criteria consistently
• Excellent organisational skills – able to prioritise, work independently, and perform under pressure
• Confident communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain outcomes clearly and sensitively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and confidence with databases or case management systems
• Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations with accuracy
• Flexible, adaptable, and proactive – equally comfortable working alone or in collaboration with others
• Strong relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders
• Experience with risk-based audits
• Experience supporting committees (agendas, minute-taking)

It would be an advantage if you bring an understanding of the legal profession and/or knowledge of the higher education sector in the UK or overseas.
