As director of policy and strategy, you will play a pivotal role in developing and strengthening our Policy and Strategy directorate. This will include ensuring we continue to operate in an integrated way across our Policy and Strategy, Communications, and Development and Engagement directorates to deliver the greatest impact for members and our organisation.
You will provide strategic leadership for the organisation’s policy, strategy, analysis and public affairs functions, providing high-level advice and support to the chief executive, deputy chief executive, chair and board, as well as playing a key role as part of the NHS Providers director team.

High Trees are seeking a dynamic and creative Community Capacity Building Officer to provide tailored development support to local organisations and manage projects relating to sector support. You will be joining us at an exciting time following the formation of a new Research and Development team which is starting to deliver a new capacity building offer to the local Voluntary and Community Sector, including one-to-one mentoring and the production of high-quality resources based on our experience of working with Lambeth communities for over 25 years. We deliver capacity building support both directly and through our partnership work.
This is a hands-on, practical role and the right candidate will have a wide skillset. You will be working on a variety of projects which focus on capacity building and VCS infrastructure support. Your day-to-day work will be varied and over the next 12 months we expect this to include tasks such as supporting local VCS organisations on a one-to-one basis to improve their policies and procedures, managing a local grants programme, creating high quality templates and user guides, and running workshop or training sessions using the resources we have developed such as our Collaboration and Employment Toolkits. We will be developing and refining our offer to the local VCS sector over the coming year and expect this to lead to further new and exciting pieces of work.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to draw learning from our work and the work of our partnerships, to distil this learning for the benefit of others and to effectively motivate, coach and support others to develop their practice.

About the Role

As Local Mobilisation Officer, you will support the delivery of our ambitious programme to mobilise food banks in the Trussell network to campaign for change. You will support the development and delivery of campaign content and resources for our food bank network, leading on specific elements as required and ensuring people with lived experience are at the heart of their campaigning. We're looking for an enthusiastic, approachable and creative Major Gifts Officer to join a team of expert high value fundraisers. You'll identify new donors and build relationships with existing supporters to secure philanthropic gifts for RNIB's vital work. You'll manage your own portfolio of donors, refreshing and growing The Armitage Circle (our mid-value giving programme) with creative engagement ideas, developing income from existing supporters and reaching out to new prospects.
Your role will include developing creative cultivation plans and conducting telephone, email and face to face conversations with donors. You'll be involved in the planning and delivery of events and will be responsible for some reporting and administration tasks.

We don’t mind if you don’t have charity experience, we’re willing to train you and show you what we do. We are looking for someone who can write excellent content and showcase what we do.
Hours: 14 hours per week, to be worked as either full 7 hour days, or spreading the hours across the week. Regular days and hours to be agreed in advance.
Salary: £28,000 (pro-rata for 14 hours a week)
Pension: 3% employer contribution, 5% employee contribution (opt-out available).
Contract: 1 year fixed term contract. With a view to making it permanent if resources allow.
Base: The role will be home-based and require your own computer. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, expenses will be paid in accordance with our Expenses Policy. Our other 2 part-time staff are based in Sussex, but you can be anywhere in the UK. You must have the right to work in the UK.

We’re looking for a People Officer to help achieve our vision of London alive with nature, where everyone can experience and enjoy wildlife. Joining our People & Organisational Development team, you’ll initially have a strong focus on helping to shape and continuously improve our volunteering programme across our sites. This role will then have the opportunity to develop into a generalist HR/People role.
This role could suit someone with similar experience in a volunteering support/ coordinator role who is interested in developing a career in HR/People, or someone from an HR background within the charity sector.
Role & Responsibilities
Initially, your role will predominantly be focussed on improving and transforming volunteer management and experience at our organisation for the first 12 months. There will also be HR/People elements which long term, will expand further into more of a generalist role.
- Act as the supporting partner to our volunteer managers, guiding them through processes and best practice and providing regular training
- Support our volunteer managers with recruitment and onboarding of volunteers
- Support with the implementation of our new volunteer management system, and it’s ongoing administration

Based in the Information and Support team and reporting to the Information Manager, you will develop and maintain our extensive offer of health and other information, including our library of factsheets, special topic information packs, web pages and video content aimed at people affected by cystic fibrosis and clinical teams.
You will have experience of producing high quality, comprehensive information for people with health conditions from concept through to publication and a knack for making complex health information easy to understand. Meticulous proof-reading skills are essential, with experience of writing for both print and web a bonus. Maintaining the Trust’s reputation for outstanding information provision through understanding of and commitment to the criteria of the Patient Information Forum quality kitemark (the PIF tick) is integral to the role, together with sensitive and meaningful involvement of end-users to ensure information meets the needs of the target audiences.
This role will involve working on multiple resources concurrently, therefore strong organisational and time-management skills are needed, as is the ability to work autonomously as well as with colleagues in the team and wider organisation, and a range of external stakeholders.

ROLE PURPOSE
The Programme Liaison Officer (full-time, fixed-term contract for 18 months, with possibility to extend) will join the expanding Sector Improvement Team. They will provide vital administration, communication and digital liaison and support required to successfully run and deliver the University Mental Health Charter Programme and Award, achieve the Sector Improvement Team’s key objectives, and contribute to the whole charity’s mission and goals. This is an exciting opportunity to help the team scale the University Mental Health Charter, with the potential to impact 2.5 million staff and students across the UK.
This role will include responding to queries, liaising with assessors, universities and general enquiries. The post holder will be responsible for working with the team to develop and monitor our HUB and digital platforms, for developing regular newsletters and working with colleagues to liaise with the many stakeholders involved in the assessment and programme processes.
Key responsibilities
Liaison support
- Provide effective liaison and administrative support to the Sector Improvement Programme(s), working closely with the Sector Improvement Lead and Programme Managers to ensure thesuccessful delivery of the programmes
- Support the planning and delivery of key Sector Improvement Programme activities such as the Winter Panel and the recruitment of the Award Assessors, CPD training and responding togeneral enquiries
- Act as the first point of contact for key stakeholders’ inquiries through the Charter Inbox and Student Minds’ Hub
Digital and resources support
- Utilise project management tools to manage work, deadlines and workflows alongside relevant colleagues to ensure timely and quality programme delivery
- Support the development of resources and documents for the charter, including newsletters, HUB announcements, Charter Handbook etc.
- Work closely with the Comms and Digital Team internally to develop and communicate clear timelines and resources needed throughout the year
- Support the annual onboarding of the Charter Programme, supporting the administrative tasks for the process, including some financial support. Lead on bringing together and distributing key documents such as welcome packs, Charter Framework documents etc.
- Support the coordinator (Programme and HUB) to onboard universities and Assessors to the HUB, and develop and grow the platform for members
- Update and oversee the Sector Improvement annual calendar of events and key activities/deliverables and share with the wider Student Minds team, identifying where dates may need to be moved
- Actively participate in the testing and embedding of new digital systems being led by the Digital
- Product Manager to increase efficiency and engagement for the Sector Improvement Programme and organisation as a whole for example collating product requirements
Financial support
- Work with the Programme Support Officer and finance colleagues to ensure correct processes and procedures are followed accurately and compliant with finance requirements
- Act as a secondary card holder for the team, making online purchases such as accommodation and travel bookings and following policies, procedures and guidance in the correct and responsible use of the Student Minds card
Data and process administration
- Administer data princesses for the University Mental Health Charter Programme and Award process, in line with Data Protection Guidelines
- Collate evaluation data from Sector Improvement events (online and in person)
- Create essential documents requested by the Sector Improvement Programme team, to support programme delivery and scalability
- Use our database(s) to manage relationships and communications with programme participants and key stakeholders, ensuring it is always up-to-date
- Support the Sector Improvement Team and Award Managers to enable efficient Award
- Assessment accreditation processes
- Maintain key working relationships with our network of Assessors and University Award Leads, addressing queries, scheduling and minuting award panels, sharing actions with the team
Working together
- Work closely with the Programme Support Officer to successfully deliver all aspects of the role, including managing the relationships with universities and logistical aspects (e.g. bookings, finances), ensuring tasks are picked between roles and when required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistical support
- Provide effective logistical and administrative support to the Sector Improvement Programme(s), working closely with the Sector Improvement Lead and Programme Managers to ensure the successful delivery of the programmes
