We have seen record breaking corporate partnerships income in the last two years and we want that growth to continue – but we know there are more opportunities than we can capitalise on with our team the size that it is. The fundraising team has ambitious targets over the next 3 – 5 years, and we won’t reach them if we’re leaving potential partnerships behind.

We’re looking for an ambitious and tenacious new business fundraiser to help us bring new partnerships to the charity, and ultimately raise more money to deliver the change we want to see for people with blood cancer.

You will be an effective fundraiser; someone who can build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and is naturally entrepreneurial. If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you.

This post is a hybrid role and the postholder will be required to attend the office once a quarter for team meetings and regular travel for donor meetings will be required, currently a lot of our donor meetings are in London.

The Role: This is an exciting new position for a highly motivated, organized, and analytical individual with the opportunity to make a real difference in a growing organization. As our Government Fundraising Specialist, you will be at the forefront of implementing our government fundraising strategy. This role involves a blend of research, advocacy, strategic proposal development, and guidance on contractual and donor compliance. You will join a dynamic, hard-working team responsible for securing 90% of the organization's revenue. Your work will focus on a new two-pronged approach: targeting governments at both the capital and local embassy levels in the regions where we operate our grantmaking programs, with the goal of making this revenue stream a significant component of our organizational budget in the coming years. You will not be starting from scratch, as we currently have secured government funding, as well as numerous relationships with governments that can be leveraged. And you will work in partnership with many colleagues across departments who will contribute to the success of this role.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Organizational Preparation: Help prepare the organization for success in securing new government funding by developing internal systems, processes, and workflows necessary for effective engagement and management.
• Strategy Development: Contribute to refining and enhancing the government fundraising strategy to align with organizational goals and emerging opportunities.
• Research & Identification: Explore international cooperation trends and the government donor landscape and identify promising funding opportunities.
• Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with other organizations to extend our reach and impact.
• Bid Leadership: Oversee the internal bid process, crafting compelling proposals, coordinating cross-departmental efforts, and ensuring timely submissions.
• Policy Analysis: Review and analyze government policy papers to guide strategic funding approaches and inform bids.
• Advocacy: Advocate for our cause within government circles to boost our visibility and secure essential support and help prepare the organization to participate in multi-lateral spaces, organizing side meetings, developing talking points, etc.
• Networking: Build relationships with stakeholders in the philanthropic and international development sectors, including donors, peers, INGOs, and UN agencies to explore areas of collaboration. 
• Thought Leadership: Contribute to influential thought leadership pieces to position our organization as a key partner of choice in the sector.
• Compliance: Communicate with internal stakeholders to help ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations and reporting requirements for government funding.
• Management & Evaluation: Help prepare the project management team to effectively manage a grant by helping to strengthen, and where needed develop, tools and processes to gather necessary information and evaluate the impact of our government grants.

Skills for Success: To excel in this role, you will need:

• Expertise: At least 7 years of experience in fundraising for international human rights, social justice and/or development cooperation, with a proven track record of securing funding from government donors through both relationship building and competitive bids.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of the government donor landscape and grant processes.
• Compliance Savvy: Strong grasp of compliance requirements related to government grants and experience in working with internal colleagues to prepare organizations to meet these requirements.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership skills combined with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Communication: Exceptional writing, research, and communication abilities.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex government policy papers and funding opportunities.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English, and proficiency in Spanish, French, Arabic or another language a bonus, but not essential.

Join the mission to protect our planet's future by becoming our Senior Grant Officer. Synchronicity Earth is a growing organisation with an expanding team, and we are now looking for an experienced Grant Administrator to take ownership of the grant-making process within the team and organisation, building on the structures already in place to ensure we are a supportive and dynamic place to work.

We channel philanthropic donations from trusts and foundations, corporate foundations, corporates or individual donors through partners and grantees (identified by our in-house team of conservation experts who make up the ‘Research Team’), which are undertaking conservation work in those areas that most critically need support. The central core and operating costs of Synchronicity Earth are generously covered by the Synchronicity Foundation, which means that any donation we receive is disbursed out to the field without a management or administration fee taken. Specific responsibilities will include the following:

• Oversee and manage the distribution and administration of all grants within our programmes.
• Work with both the Programme and Philanthropy Teams to ensure all grants are matched with the relevant income stream.
• Oversee the grant admin work of programme officers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of grant paperwork.
• Monitor and track grantee compliance with all report submissions and any other key deliverables.
• Manage the grant pipeline, reporting issues to the Programmes Team, working towards solutions with partners and enabling speedy grant giving.
• Support the Programme Team in development of rolling 3-year plans for funding, and liaise with Philanthropy Team to allow planning for fundraising.
• Provide advice and guidance to applicants and grantees on administrative procedures, policies and practices.
• Act as the internal point of contact for all grants in our database (Salesforce).
• Coordinate and deliver on reporting requirements to the Finance, Research, Operations and Risk teams for all grant giving.
• Support across teams as required on entry, cleaning, research and administration relating to data management.
• Work to develop processes and systems to improve efficiency.

Reporting, location, and work hours

This position is a permanent position that is based in Synchronicity Earth offices in Central London, with the option for hybrid office/home working if the successful applicant wishes with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office (laptop would be provided for home working). During a 6-month probationary period we would require 4 days per week in the office.  The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK until at least the end of 2028, we cannot accept applicants who require visa sponsorship for this role.

The Senior Volunteering Officer will help us to explore and develop new approaches to volunteering within the NHS. This role is focused on supporting our volunteers that are based within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust services across the North West London Community and to develop new volunteering roles that focus on health challenges within the community.

You’ll provide a high quality experience to volunteers that are located within our community sites, by working with Trust staff and partner organisations to develop new roles that improve the experience to our patients within these clinical services, to identify new locations and roles, to develop our volunteering offer within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

We are recruiting for a Temporary special events officer for a high profile health charity . Working with the Special Events Manager the Special Events Officer will support in the creation and management of a special events programme aimed at engaging major donors, corporates, and trusts.

Office-based in London with some flexibility to work remotely. During event days out of hours work will be required.

Supporting the co-ordination and delivery of our high-quality events programme.
Working alongside staff, committees and senior volunteers to raise income from special events.
Support the special events manager in correctly tracking and recording income and expenditure for events and ensuring they are delivered within agreed budgets.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and play a vital role within the Fundraising team at MHA. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the individual giving programme in line with the wider strategic objectives.

- Designing, implementing, and monitoring the required processes in line with our legal and regulatory obligations, such as the overseeing the timely review of information assets, and emergency contact lists.
- Overseeing the directorate control of documented information, including policy, procedures, guidance.

The new Executive Director will be responsible for leading the organisation in developing a new strategy to guide us through the next phase growth, while leading the team through an new political climate.

Grants fundraising is of particular importance to the role, and the successful candidate will be the lead person responsible for securing funding for our campaigning and organising work and maintaining strong relationships with donors.

About you

We are looking for someone who is passionate about addressing health, climate, racial and economic injustice and the health impacts of conflict and militarisation, and who understands the vital role that health professionals have in making the connections between these issues and working for peace, to make the world a better, fairer and safer place.

You will have an understanding of the national and international framework within which Medact operates, and you will be able to demonstrate that your values and politics align with those of our organisation. Ideally you will have experience of working in health or with health workers, so that you have an appreciation of the culture within which they work and the potential of their contribution.

You will have strong leadership skills so that, valuing the collaborative approach of our team and respecting varying views, you are able to arrive at clear decisions. You will also have a track record in fundraising in similar fields and a good knowledge of a range of potential supporters.

We are looking to appoint a Fundraising Officer to join our highly successful fundraising team. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in both fundraising and in the third sector. The role will provide vital support across our Fundraising Team, ensuring you develop the key skills required to become a successful fundraising professional in the years ahead.

The charity is in a period of rapid growth and will see our annual fundraising requirement increase from £12.5m to over. 
£16m per year, over the next three years. To achieve this we are adding capacity to the team to ensure we maximise the 
opportunities available within the university, corporate and philanthropic community. We have a remarkable track record in
securing major gifts from a diverse range of funding partners and this role will be key to ensuring we achieve our  fundraising targets.

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. Our Head Office team is based on the site of our North Kensington centre in West London. We are an organisation with team members at different stages of their career, including many in their first roles: we are committed to nurturing talent and providing a developmental culture for all. Our Head Office team works in-person 4 days per week with 1 day from home.

What to expect in a fundraising role?

The Fundraising Officer role is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same.

A typical day will have different meetings, priorities and team projects. Corporate and University partnerships often involve supporting several different areas of a business or university with varying content, ideas and stewardship, including hosting supporters at our learning centres. Each fundraising area meets regularly to discuss challenges, new ideas and improvements, and the broader fundraising team meets monthly to reflect on progress to date and plan for the rest of the year ahead.

This role will also involve working with colleagues at our centres across the UK to organise workshops that are hosted and/or supported by our corporate and university partners, getting to know our different teams and helping thousands of young people to access vital learning and skillset opportunities each year.

Grants Manager

We are seeking a proactive and detailed Grants Manager to support our development team on the journey to further Cardboard Citizens’ ambitions as a dynamic, flexible and forward-thinking social justice charity and theatre company, working with people who have experience of homelessness and poverty or inequity.

Our organisation secures over £1m in voluntary funding each year and our Grants Manager will play a vital role in securing and growing the broad range of voluntary support which allows to make exceptional art for social change. You will manage a rich portfolio of existing funder relationships across Trusts & Foundations, Corporate and Statutory income streams, in addition to researching and writing applications for new funding and working closely with the Delivery team on impact monitoring and reporting. You will cultivate and steward funder relationships and manage and represent the organisation at events run by, with and for existing and prospective funders, including establishing new funding connections for Cardboard Citizens in Hackney, following our recent move from Whitechapel to Hoxton.

This position is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), temporary role, running for 3-months. Hybrid working is offered; with 3-days onsite and 2-days remote.

This role will involve working closely with the charity’s trustees to co-ordinate both the Research and Welfare grants.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:

Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey is a county-wide charity supporting people of all ages who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind. We have been supporting Surrey residents for over 100 years. Our main office base is in Fetcham, near Leatherhead, and our team of staff and volunteers work out in the community across the county.

The post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to prioritise effectively and manage a busy and varied workload. Job Purpose:

Working within the Engagement & Communications team, you will contribute to the success of fundraising at Cruelty Free International and its affiliated group of companies’. Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, this role will work closely with colleagues across the organisation including those in PR, marketing, data, and finance to deliver engaging communications to our offline audience. 

Working alongside the Fundraising Manager you will use your excellent copywriting and creative skills to develop fundraising appeals for the organisation that inspire our donors to contribute financially to our organisation. 

Working closely with our data and administration teams you will maintain effective response handling, ensuring donations are processed in line with best practice guidelines, donors are thanked promptly and supporter records on our CRM are maintained and updated. 

Between mass mailings you will work closely with the wider engagement and communications team to deliver outward-bound communications tasks, such as ongoing targeted telephone fundraising campaigns, calling potential and existing supporters to acquire new donors and reactivate lapsed donors. Using your excellent communication skills to increase engagement, income and drive long-term relationships.
