InterVol is a student volunteering charity in the United Kingdom that connects students with volunteering opportunities locally and overseas. InterVol supports students to develop their skills with community projects in the UK and then use those skills to support the work of charitable partners overseas on health, education, refugee support, and conservation placements. Our project placements and volunteering opportunities are designed by our local partners and with the long-term needs of beneficiaries and communities in mind. InterVol supports a network of five student societies at English universities with around one hundred volunteers annually.
InterVol is looking for new trustees to join our board. Trustees are responsible for ensuring that InterVol follows our guiding principles and acts within the law. This includes the timely submissions to the Charity Commission, ensuring that volunteering is safe and appropriate, and developing and maintaining a long-term strategy for InterVol. InterVol is a small charity with no staff, so trustees also play an important role in maintaining institutional memory for student committees which change annually.
We are recruiting for general trustee roles and for a treasurer. For the treasurer role, we are looking for applicants with a specialism in financial management to oversee our bank account, monitor our online donation platform, make grants, donations and payments, and report on our finances annually to the Charity Commission. Trustees in non-finance roles will be allocated roles most relevant to their own experience e.g. specific university group support, specific placements, or thematic areas such as training or research.
As a trustee you are expected to take on roles including:

West London Centre for Counselling (WLCC) is a registered charity with a proud history of delivering high-quality, free, confidential counselling to the local community in Hammersmith and Fulham for over 30 years.

Although MGWT is a local charity, we have a notable track record of innovation and wider impact. We pioneered the first LGBTQ+ youth group in Europe and launched the UK's first specialist psychotherapy service for survivors of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Our groundbreaking work continues to inform practices and policies at both local and national levels.
We are particularly seeking trustees with skills in fundraising (including expertise in securing grants from trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, statutory funding, legacies, and major gifts), Human Resources, and communications. Knowledge, experience, and a thorough understanding of the charity sector are essential, alongside a demonstrable commitment to our values. Previous board experience is desirable but not essential. We particularly welcome candidates with lived experience of the issues we are seeking to address, including socioeconomic inequality, mental health, and the asylum process.
Trustees commit roughly 6 hours monthly, guiding strategic direction, ensuring effective governance, promoting equality and inclusion, and serving as ambassadors for MGWT’s vital work.

Ealing Foodbank is looking for Trustees. We would particularly welcome applications from those with experience in one (or more) of the following areas: fundraising and communication.
Who we are
Ealing Foodbank is a local charity, serving people in Ealing who need emergency food. We are open 8 times a week at 7 locations around Ealing. We give out around 1300 food parcels a month. We want to make sure people visiting the foodbank get the right help to resolve their crises where possible. We work together with Crosslight advice (debt and benefit advice) and Ealing Law Centre (housing and benefit advice) to achieve this.
Being a trustee
As a trustee you can use your skills to contribute towards supporting those in crisis in our local community.
As Trustee you will be expected to:
- Understand and support Ealing Foodbank’s work and aims
- Reflect our vision, values, strategy and policies
- Work closely with the rest of the board to formulate and review our strategic aims
- Ensure our policies and practices are in line with our aims
- Ensure Ealing Foodbank functions within the necessary legal and financial requirements
- Ensure resources are used effectively and efficiently
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the organisation
- Make time to read necessary paperwork
- Attend board meetings
- To help promote the organisation to a wide audience of potential funders and beneficiaries and community stakeholders
- Use your skills, wisdom to benefit the board and organisation
- Fulfil other duties as required occasionally by the board
Skills, attributes and experience
- Knowledge of (can be gained) and commitment to the work of Ealing Foodbank.
- Willingness to actively participate in discussions concerning needs of the foodbank’s beneficiaries, staff, and the trustee board.

Time commitment
Trustee meetings are held 6 times a year, normally in the evening from 7pm at our office. Trustees are expected to undertake additional work for the charity between meetings, subject to their availability and skill set.
Please note the Trustee role is voluntary and unremunerated, though reasonable expenses can be reimbursed.

Re-Vision is a small charity based in Queen’s Park, London, founded in 1988. We run professionally accredited part-time courses for adults to train as Counsellors and Psychotherapists and are looking for Trustees to join our Board.
Who we are
Re-Vision is a registered charity. It is a small, not for profit counselling and psychotherapy training organisation providing outstanding, in-depth training with a soulful perspective. We also offer a low cost community counselling service to enable access to mental health services for those who might otherwise not find this affordable.
The role
We are juggling a number of important strategic imperatives. We have highlighted the need to improve resilience, to look ahead at future plans for our physical environment, to continue to provide an inclusive and rewarding experience for our students, trainers and staff, to maintain and build on the unique soulfulness and richness of our training, and to build our bursary fund to help to increase accessibility to our training.
We are keen to find trustees willing to help us with these challenges. We are particularly keen to involve people with financial or marketing skills, and people who have been involved in facilitating or helping small organisations faced with the challenge of retaining core values during periods of change. This is an exciting period of change for Re-Vision and could be a good time for those with experience in strategic planning or change management to get involved, even if only for a fixed term.
