CleanupUK provides a spark in local communities that need some help and encouragement to tackle the challenge of litter where they are. We set up Cleanup Hubs in the most littered areas and support community litter-picking groups to start, grow, or sustain their activities by providing equipment, information and advice. Practical details

Position - Trust and Foundation Fundraising Lead

Responsible to - Chief Executive

Salary - £42,000–£45,000 per annum full time

• You will be implementing the existing workplan for 2025, complemented with your own input into maximising CleanupUK’s revenue from trusts, foundations and The Lottery
• You will be managing the Local/Regional Trust and Foundation Fundraiser to help them maximise their revenue
• In conjunction with the Chief Executive, you will be nurturing the key funder relationships that CleanupUK already has
• You will be developing strong and close relationships with new key trust and foundation funders

Trusts, Foundations, and Corporate Fundraising: Develop and submit compelling, targeted written proposals and applications to trusts, foundations, and corporate funders; Collaborate closely with the Integrity Action team to effectively translate project designs into persuasive funding proposals; Work closely with partners by submitting high quality inputs to external bids where we are a sub-partner; and Liaise closely with consultants who support us with corporate fundraising.

3. Strategic Fundraising Support: Lead prospecting for new funding opportunities and develop donor engagement plans to expand the funding pipeline; Maintain and oversee fundraising tracking systems ensuring accurate records of donor interactions, pipelines, and reporting; and Regularly update senior management and the Board on fundraising strategies and progress.

Key responsibilities

Fundraising from Trusts and Foundations

Leading on applications to trusts and foundations with input from the Charity Director and delivery teams as needed, incl:

• Writing and submitting high quality applications to trusts and foundations that reflect The Vitiligo Society  and our members' stories.

• Researching potential charitable trusts and foundations to approach for funding.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with key personnel in relevant funding organisations.

Community Fundraising

Other Fundraising

• Working with the Charity Director to develop the organisation’s Trusts and Community fundraising strategy.

• Keeping up to date with best practice in fundraising and fundraising trends.

People Management 

• Oversee the engagement of volunteer fundraisers, supporting them to undertake community fundraising activities and sharing their stories to inspire others.

General

• Working within the The Vitiligo Society ethos and values.

THE ROLE

The Fundraising Manager (Partnerships) role is a fantastic opportunity to lead on developing partnerships with The Girls’ Network's corporate and public sector supporters. The programme is well established with £170,000 worth of partners already on board. There is an opportunity to put your own stamp on the work, developing new collateral and ideas for excellent partnerships. The role is within our Fundraising & Communications team of four staff and works in collaboration with regional Senior Network Managers. Key roles and responsibilities

Income generation

• Primary focus of the role is to manage a portfolio of £170,000 worth of corporate partners and public sector organisations, to meet annual income targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
• Develop compelling funding propositions and case for support to meet priorities, working closely with colleagues in Fundraising & Communications, Programmes and Monitoring, Research, Evaluation & Learning (MERL).
• Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of prospects through research and excellent record keeping (using SalesForce), ensuring that applications are made to meet known deadlines.
• Collaborate with Network Managers on regional corporate partnerships, ensuring a consistent and good supporter experience and identifying opportunities for development.

Stewardship

• Develop data management processes, ensuring timely impact reporting or other agreed deliverables.
• Ensure all donations and supporters are thanked in a timely and appropriate mode to their giving channel.
• Keep all relevant donor and financial information up-to-date on Salesforce, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other relevant good practice, as defined by the Fundraising Regulator and other sector bodies.

Other duties

• As a small charity with limited resources, all staff are expected to be flexible with their work and as such you may be required to undertake other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time.

• You will have at least five years’ relevant experience as a fundraiser or in other similar roles e.g. marketing or sales, ideally with at least three years working in fundraising and be able to demonstrate previous success in generating income and achieving targets.

You, and the team of fundraisers you manage, will build strong, lasting relationships with mid and major value donors (trusts and foundations and individuals), guiding them on their philanthropic journey. You’ll develop and lead a fundraising plan that cultivates a robust pipeline of prospects, creates compelling fundraising asks, and delivers engaging stewardship, all with the aim of increasing income and building long-term donor relations.

You'll make a significant impact: 

• Developing a compelling fundraising plan for mid and major value donors, contributing to the philanthropy strategy, and aligning with the charity's overall goals. 

• Forging strong bonds with prospects and donors, collaborating with your team to understand their motivations and inspire impactful donations. 

• Guiding and supporting the Philanthropy Relationship team, including the Philanthropy Manager responsible for major value trusts/foundations and individuals, and two Philanthropy Officers responsible for mid-value trusts or individuals. 

• Overseeing donor cultivation activities, ensuring adherence to data protection regulations, and collaborating with colleagues when necessary.

Senior Fundraising Partnerships Officer

About the Role 

You won’t be starting the major donor programme from scratch but it’s still quite new. Fundraising is a team effort, so you will be working alongside and sharing responsibility with the Senior Fundraising Officer (SFO),  who is responsible for trusts and foundations, corporate fundraising, mid-level giving and public campaigns. The CEO is also active in maintaining relationships with donors.

About You

You will have knowledge of major donor fundraising and a high level of skill and experience in building and maintaining relationships with high net worth individuals.

You will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills – including active listening, and the ability to interact confidently and persuasively.

Your interest in environmental issues, especially nature restoration, climate resilience and biodiversity and your ability to communicate persuasively translates into creating and sustaining strong, lasting relationships with individual major donors and soliciting five and six-figure gifts.

You will have:
