The Trusts and Foundations Officer will support the Trusts and Foundations team to meet income targets and develop and maintain relationships with donors and prospects. The majority of Pact’s voluntary income comes from Trusts and Foundations, helping to further our work with prisoners, former prisoners and their children and families. Consequently, this is a vital role in the fundraising team. We enjoy warm and committed relationships with a wide range of trusts and foundations and have a robust trust pipeline contributing to core and specific restricted projects.
As the Fundraising Officer (Trusts & Foundations), you will support the Senior Development Manager (Trusts & Foundations) to raise vital grant income to support Pact’s charitable services and activities. This is a varied role which will involve you helping to identify potential new sources of grant funding from charitable trusts & foundations, whilst ensuring the very best stewardship of a portfolio of our existing relationships.

The successful candidate will be a resourceful development professional with an established network within the Trusts and Foundations community. Working closely with the Head of Development, the Trusts and Foundations Manager contributes to, and implements the Trusts and Foundations strategy to maintain and develop existing relationships, whilst proactively identifying and approaching new and innovative funders.
Attention to detail and the diligent stewardship of the RPO’s existing relationships are of paramount importance. The role requires excellent writing skills, experience of structuring persuasive cases for support, and securing significant grants from a broad range of trusts, foundations and grant making bodies. This role is open to candidates from a broad range of industry sectors and would be an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career by taking on the challenge of a more senior fundraising role.
This is a permanent position with hybrid working, based 3 days from their London offices and flexible working. The salary is £38,000 - £42,000.

We are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager, for an inspiring social welfare campaigning charity, to lead and drive the trusts and foundations strategy.
This is a London hybrid role, with one day a week in the office. Once a fortnight will be considered. Job share also considered.

The Role
Proactively submit tailored fundraising applications to a wide range of charitable trusts, corporate foundations, National Lottery and statutory bodies, to fulfil the team income of c1m.
Continue working with a very warm pipeline, with many bids in progress and over 330k secured already.
Work with the Director of Communications and Fundraising (Director) and/or the Head of Fundraising as appropriate.
Manage and support the Trust and Foundations Officer, who oversees the smaller trust programme, empowering them to develop, grow and contribute to the overall strategy.
The Candidate
Proven experience of writing successful and compelling proposals and applications to Trusts and Foundations and securing multi year funding.
Experience of working across an organisation to develop fundraising bids and reports, ideally within a campaigning charity.
Demonstrable experience in strategic planning and budgeting.
Ability to undertake high quality research to identify potential trusts and foundation prospects.
